I was going down the rabbit hole with this Milwaukee battery in my head and found you already beat me to it . Thanks for posting this ,you saved me money and time .Cheers brother.
Awesome thanks! What a coincidence you have the same finder too. They even make the battery adapter with a built in switch and fuse now. Seems very convenient.
I just bought that attachment and got my piranhamax 4 hooked up. Still gotta make it to the water to see how long it lasts. I think its the way to go. Lighter and i can lay my fish finder pod on its side with out worrying about the battery leaking. Future edit: it lasts all day for me with a 3Ah. It's the way to go for sure
Great ideas definitely let us know how long it lasts on the water. Good seeing a video from you. Not sure if YT has clipped you from my daily list. But I'll check for your content at least weekly.
@@capitolbassfishing I know that feeling when it comes to getting things uploaded. You always have good content and information. Hopefully you get back to making more content. When you do we will be here.
This is almost the exact video I was looking for, perfect. How is it working out? I already 12v to dc converter for my Milwaukee heated jacket. Thinking about getting the Garmin stricker 4 and making a battery box

you can use 18v or 20v tool batteries with cnoverters as the striker works from 12 to 20 Vdc
thats great to know!!
Sorry - Had to re-upload...Had a copyright strike for music...changed music

Any updates on this? My fish finder is a little bit bigger but I have the Milwaukee 6.0amp hour 12v battery.
yes works great, the small batteries last about 3 hours the bigger batteries are like 6-7 hours
What adapter did you buy?
Man talk about innovative!! Awesome vid Joe.. planning on selling my boat and getting a kayak.. gas prices suck lol
lol, gas is not good.
Great idea but i think i woulda mounted the battery close to the finder.
Set the low voltage alarm to 10 volts so there is no risk to the battery or unit.
thanks
I’m gonna set mine to 10.2 to be safe
I plan on wiring two in parallel to extend the battery life without having to swap batteries so often, we'll see :)
Why not!!
@@capitolbassfishing The Square one I think is a 6ah Batttery should last a full day really
Thanks, this was exactly what I need to know
Glad it was helpful!

Good if it wasn’t so cold! I’m not fishing much right now
You mean the shell for the m12 battery? That’s what I did. I just cut an old barrel connector and spliced it in.
Same here just bought the striker 4 and was googling was to make a drill battery work since I have a Kayak and tons of batteries laying around!
Nice video
Thanks
was the battery 12v when it started or more? how man AH was the battery?
It’s 12v 3A I think
This is what I was looking for. They have an adapter you can charge your m12 with a m 18 fyi
Someone told me that it could cause damage doing it this way. 🤷♂️
maybe
I did it anyways lol. Works fine just don’t let it go below 10.2V
No differant than hooking it upto a 12v marine battery...
Can you let us know how it worked out?
Works great, 3-4 hours witht he little battery and the larger battery 8-9 hours
