Another great tip Alex! I played this weekend right after watching your video on how to strike the ball when you're above it on a hill. Sure enough I found myself on a hill above the ball. Then it came to me... choke down on the club, bend the knees and don't take a monster swing. And boom, I had my 5 iron and striked it perfectly. My partner complimented my shot and I told him about you and your tips and how that's the reason I hit it well. Those shots were always so difficult for me. Not any more! Thank you!

As per your recommendation I started taking lessons last week. I can’t believe the progress that 4 lessons have created. Now so much more of what you explain here on the channel makes sense. Thank you so much!!

It's funny. You hear a lot of people saying that hybrids are so much better than an iron but there are a lot of how to hit hybrid videos for a reason. Same with woods. I have no control with them.

Thank you for your excellent, very helpful videos which have improved my golf.
Please would you do a video on fairway woods from the fairway.
I am 80 years old & carry 5, 7 & 9 woods but my total distance in summer ranges from 140 to 120 yards.
Older golfers use fairway woods to try & get some extra yards.
I am a subscriber & regularly make favourable comments.
    Renewed thanks.

    I love my HALO 19°
I just replaced it with a radspeed 19°. Both are straight, both are easy as butter to smash, both go straight. Radspeed feels hotter off the face and wins in distance. Both are stellar, I am just pickin up as much radspeed as I can at a pricebreak. I highly reccomend a 19° or so in everyone's bag

Alex I really like where you are coming from on this. Great ideas. I play with a bag of Ping Hybrids. They are my main clubs so I hit them all the time. I'm pretty good about hitting out of the rough with any hybrid loft but I never considered increasing the loft/Club with the deeper rough. I will sure think about that now. Great tip!!! Ball placement is pretty darn important. I had to give a golf lesson last weekend to a golfer who was placing every ball by his back foot trying to hit the ball. It was horrible. I got him to place it in the middle of his stance more and he started hitting correctly. I really enjoy your channel. Greetings from Manchester, Connecticut. Have a great weekend. Joe

Thanks for the lesson. I'm only starting at golf and building my bag by mastering one club at a time. I was looking for my next longest club for to tackle 4 par courses instead of sticking to just 3 par. I thought the jump from 7 iron to wood would be too big and was debateing between my next club being a 4 iron or a hybrid. Hybrid is looking a lot less scary thank you.

      @josephdubiel7129 Год назад

James, please add a few hybrids to that bag. You will really like them I think. I think Ping's are awesome. A # 4 hybrid will be much easier to hit that a 4 iron. Trust me. A good starting point would be to get a 3,4 and 5 hybrid.

Nice one Alex - funny I like when my ball is on the fringe - just sitting up on the short grass - better than the bare fairway in my opinion !
I have a 4 and 6 hybrid and they save my life many times during my round !
Swing easy and do a practice swing on bare fairway to bruise the ground and as you say ball a bit back !!

Just a suggestion: Rather than giving ball position relative to the heel, wont it be better to give from the center of the body (like the pant zip or belly button or nose)? Or you can give both if you want to. Everyone's center of body is same but not everyone has the same width in their stance

Alex, when I pick my 4 and 5 hybrids out of my bag, I cringe. They are the only two clubs that I snap hook. Not a draw, but a SNAP hook. I’m at a loss to explain it because I use the same grip. Am I coming inside? Irons and driver are ok. Confused!

Nice tip Alex. I really enjoy your videos man!
Quick question: My bag consists of fitted Driver, 5 Wood, 4 Hybrid, 5-GW. JPX921 HotMetal (PW 44, GW 49). I need to get fitted for more wedges. I can't decide if I should go for 2 or 3 more. Any suggestions on wedge count and which lofts to go for? Thanks man!

Sounds great! great to hear that you enjoy the videos - i would suggest a 4 degree gapping and 3 wedges i hope this helps. base your wedges of the loft of the wedge inn the set
