Well, i use both the SG Pro and the M2. And I must say i like them both. The M2 is without doubt a bit higher class product, with endless oppertunities. So if you are going for a big rig, with full Mattebox, monitores, batteripackes. Then go for Redrock. But the SG Pro is much easier to set up, and is really quick to take apart if you dont have a large camera bag or of storage reasons. video quality wise, they are pretty much the same. allthough i think my heart is a bit on the redrock
allright. A thing you should do is calibrate the back focus in a studio with a monitor thats shows 100% of the screen. and when you find the correct zoom and focus, write down the zoom number and focus number, so the next time you set it up, all you have to do is turn untill you have the correct value :) perfect image without doubting yourself :)
Hi. Well this is afterall my first time use of my SG Pro system. so I dident see the vignett before after i was finished shooting. What you allways should do when setting up the rig is connecting it to a video monitor or computer to see the fullsize of your image, and then you can set the backfocus to avoid vignette :) but some wide lenses will allways give you a kind of vignette effect.
Right now my mac is in for repair, but as soon as i get it back i'll se if i can dig up the project. But there is no color correction, I have only taken the brightness down, and upped the contrast. If i dont find this project, I|ll try to post something else. Cheers
Hello again. Well i own a V1e , but have used the Z1e alot. I like the V1 more, it has the possibility of shooting in 25p , the Z1 on otherhand can only shoot in interlaced, witch makes the V1 a mutch better choice if its movies you will be shooting :) concerning the redrock, if you have a Z1 its got a 72Ø diameter so it will fit right on the redrock, but the V1 has a lense diameter of 62Ø so you will need a step up ring in order for it to fit :) Good luck, just ask if there is anymore ;)
I posted a comment a minute ago, did it not appear? :( Anyway, I was asking, which formats does it produce? HD? DV? DVCAM? ...etc. And which VTR are you using for it?
I am afraid not, the Z1e can shoot in HDV (1440x1080) but it is interlaced NOT progressiv, it can neither shoot in 720p or 576p it can only shoot SD 720x576i and 1440x1080i No progresiv on the Z1e, the V1e can shot in both 720x576p (25fps) and 1440x1080p (25fps)
The SG Pro is just an adapter witch you can use on any kamera, be it HD , SD, HDV, DVCAM etc etc. in my case a have a SONY HVR-V1 and i shoot in HDV
I head the Z1E did have progressive mode, 720P?

Oh I see, Thanks a lot :)
SGpro'en er så nice!
Konge bilder:)
det eneste du må gjøre er å zoome litt mer inn pga vignetting. Ellers sweet!
< awsome girl at video! :)
vet, men det var også første gang jeg prøvde å kalibrere den, bruker en ekstern monitor når jeg kalibrer nå, så får jeg se enda mer :)
