    The side rest look like would be nice not to mention the angled number pad. I have been using a Razer Naga since WoW Mist of Pandaria. I was thinking of getting the Red Dragon M908. For the record I'm on my 3rd Naga. And the Razer Naga Chroma Classic is only $59 FYI for the wired version of course the wireless cost more.

    Also, I took my nagas apart and cleaned/repaired each of them each time they failed, but that only bought me 2-3 months until they failed again, and then again after a couple more weeks. Ultimately each Razer lasted 18 months max, even with the repairs and cleaning contacts and such.

I was looking for weeks (i like toi be very thorough when choosing hardware) through reviews for an alternative for my broken Razer Naga and your video helped me a lot making a decision, especially you holding up both mice and showing the physical size differences.

    I have the m801 Redragon mouse and the K596 keyboard. Both are wireless and pair well together for general use, typing and gaming. I also like the quieter switches in the keyboard. They still click like a mechanical switch should but they are not nearly as pronounced. They give you feedback without being obnoxious. Both are lit up like a Christmas tree. The keyboard even has side lighting which looks really good.

    I'm replacing a Naga v2, not because of clicking tho, in my case the laser started failing after a few years or so. Looking at this because I decided to upgrade to full MMO buttons, stumbled into it on Amazon, and saw that rapid-fire (thinking of remapping it to GW2's dodge, cause that would be more convenient then either v or double-press). Sounds good IMO...

      @@AbathurSnuggles So just got it (I was so fed up I'd rushed the shipping; also got one of their mouse pads with a cushion cause my razer pad had none and lo and behold the edge had frayed over the years I'd had it) and already feel myself falling in love. A big feature that either got skipped over or missed (unless I wasn't paying as much attention as I thought I was) is that there's a mode/profile change button the bottom; I'm definitely going to set that up so I can use the mouse to control media when not gaming then go back to gaming with a button press or two. Heck, maybe someday I'll go masochistic and challenge myself to play something on an emulator using buttons assigned to the side of the mouse just for giggles 😜
      oh something I'd forgotten to mention before was that I have never been a fan of the sideways wheel clicks, not because I've hit them accidentally but because I've always had an instinctive, irrational fear of breaking the wheel cause all other mouse wheels before that one didn't move sideways at all and it just felt unnatural lol

    I have been abusing a red dragon mammoth for 3 year now and it's still going strong. I just bought the m908 a week ago and it is a mammoth with the extra side buttons. It's a very large mouse. I bought this mouse just to see if I would like the naga or Logitech but I am very happy so far with the m908.

  • @jp3611
    @jp3611 4 года назад

    I switched from Razer Naga after 2 of them... each one lasted 1-1.5 years before double-clicking issues started. Swapped to RedDragon because it was basically the same functionality but way cheaper. Red Dragon just started having issues after ~20 months, so outperformed longevity on the Naga, and was way cheaper. I'll happily spend $30 every 1.5-2 years for a good, solid, reliable MMO mouse over the Naga.

      I would love to have a useful L/R tilt on my mouse. However, I actually didn't end up liking the tilt on my old Naga Chroma; it was too sensitive and I ended up hitting it too often when I was just trying to use the wheel button. If some mfg could manage to find that sweet spot where it was not hard to press but wasn't so easy you'd hit it on accident, I would be stoked to use a mouse with it.

      Yup, it's a nice setup. Depending on how serious you are at FPS, the sensor on this mouse might not be good enough for really high skill shooters. I think for the overwhelming majority of players, this one will be plenty fine but it is a bargain sensor so I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't up to par for very high levels of play. Don't laugh but do anyone of y'all use mmo mice on ps4? If so then what was your experience? What kind of side button mouse did you use with your PlayStation? And did you have any issues binding the buttons? Because I've heard some MMO mice won't work on Playstation unless they have an onboard memory and even then some of those might still don't work properly. I have heard of others like the Logitech g600 working but I'd like to think there are other options out there

    For the rapid fire, do one have to click the rapid fire button continuously or just the left mouse button after enabling the rapid fire button?

    • @AbathurSnuggles
      @AbathurSnuggles  5 лет назад

      It is not a toggle. You press the key and it autopresses another key for you X number of times. By default it is set to 3 left clicks for every rapid fire click, but in the settings you can change the key, the amount, and the delay... so if you want one click of the rapid fire button to hit right click 100 times, you can.

      It seems durable; it is still holding strong. I still don't find it super comfortable, but I think a lot of that is related to my hand size. Yeah, the driver download should be fine as long as its one of their official foreign sites. Some of the mice (like the specific one I looked at here) seem to no longer be available in the US so you have to get the drivers on their German site, but they are legit and work fine.

    • @AbathurSnuggles
      @AbathurSnuggles  5 лет назад

      I do play some FPS but don't have the skill level to really notice an accuracy difference since the biggest variable will be myself. If accuracy is your top concern, you should see research the specific type of sensor the mice use since that will be the most important thing for you. Generally budget mice aren't going to be using the best sensors (that's why pros generally use crazy expensive mice) so my guess without testing is that reddragon and utechsmart would be similar but I've honestly not looked into it. Because this is NOT a review, let me REVIEW it: wheel click and fire button click are EXTREMELY MUSHY. Sensor is Jesus Christ unresponsive, sometimes yes, sometimes no which makes it almost unusable. I lowered the rate of polling to 250 Hz and it seems the problem alleviates. What problem ? The cable is not shielded. Oh Jesus !!! You can feel the individual wires inside !!! How can you expect a polling rate of 1000 Hz through an unshielded cable ? This is what it makes really crappy. Also the mouse is too big, hardly maneuverable. To my BIG surprise, it has the FCC logo on the back which means it does dot have to cause interference and it has to accept interference. Far from that with an unshielded cable. One point strong: the lighting effects are gorgeous. But as a mouse it's chinese $1 garbage.
