"Mother Father" from this same concert (Live in Houston - 1981) is a MUST... he hits a note at the end that will blow your mind.

He’s called “the Voice” for a reason! His range is insane. And his tone doesn’t change no matter how high or low he sings! Good job. ❤
Mother Father from the same show will blow your mind. The range and power in that song from Steve is off the charts, admittedly by him is the hardest song to sing.
There was something truly magical about Journey.
My brother worked for Steve back in the day, including this tour. He was incredibly kind and generous to the people around him ... great reaction.

I saw them live for, multiple shows on the Escape tour then again multiple shows on the Frontiers tour. It was such a privilege to watch them, he’s my favorite vocalist of all time.

Just watched this and I have to agree Steve’s voice here is amazing and I’d like to lineup. Luckily I had the wonderful opportunity to see these guys live with this lineup and it was an awesome show was outside and it just rocked, good reaction excellent choice!

Probably one of the best times I've ever had. Right before this album came out. This one girl didn't want to get off my shoulders and the Hot girl would not want up!; they bought the beer and had the transportation. I drank all the way there and even successfully talked my way in. Thanks 👍
I was a junior high school student at the time, and Journey influenced me the most.
Journey had 2 lead singers. Steve Perry and Neal Schons guitar.
Don't forget Gregg Rolie, the original lead singer. I love the era of Journey where he and Steve traded singing lead.

I saw them this tour and then the frontiers tour.. they are a very underrated group
They have Several Songs from Escape Tour live in Houston 1981 " Stone in Love " Girl Can't Help it " Open Arms " Mother Father " Escape " Stay Awhile " they have either Live Songs " Separate Way's " ( live in Tokyo 1983 ) " I"ll be Alright Without You " ( Official Video 1986 ).
WHO'S CRYING NOW from this same concert is ELECTRIC. You have to give it a try.
My personal favorite is also a live video, THE GIRL CAN'T HELP IT. Enjoy
Back in the day when I was in the concert biz I got to work shows with these guys a few times. Even played them in a softball game once. ;O)

The reason y Steve Perry left Journey is because he wanted to have hip surgery and Journey didn't want him to and plus Steve Perry said that he was burned out of singing at the time and his girlfriend died of breast cancer.
