Fun idea for a video that I haven’t seen yet is a reputation/profession/spec guide. I’ve done a lot of research trying to figure out which profs should focus on which reps and try and line that up with the best reps for my class/role. For example I lvl enchanting on my healer. I want to focus on the healing ring enchant and the +healing enchants. But which reps are going to be top priority?
Here i am watching tutorials for an expansion that came out almost 15 years ago lol. Its deffinaltly fascinating to see how much the game has changed and how much more usefull professions are then retail.
Armor specialization bonus wasn't added until 4.0.1, so for some classes (hybrids mostly) best in slot gear doesn't always include their own armor type. For example Tribal leatherworking and tailoring are both good options for a resto shaman to get that +healing gear. Tailoring one offers a bit more +healing, but lacks stamina. ;)
At 1:01 you said "there's no more Songflower buffs", but the old comments from around patch 2.3-2.4 indicate that as long as a character lower than level 63 first activates a Songflower, then a level 70 character can come along and obtain the Songflower Serenade buff. Might not actually work in TBC Classic but thought it was worth a mention.
You are using the same style of videos like kargoz and even the picture on channel banner... but the video is really good so hopefully we see some more tbc guides from you!
Super useful guide, well done. I never like and subscribe to stuff since I find it cringey that EVERY youtube video includes it at the end. "like and smash that sub button huehue" but this time I actually did both :)
You forgot about various bags from tailoring, various buff from picking herb and the engineer fume gathering (forgot the name). I don't remember whether mining elementals is tbc or wotlk, too..
A little story about my tbc experience as an enh shaman; Tbc is very enh weapon unfriendly. I struggled especially on offhand weapons. Why? 1) There are no enh weapons among rep rewards, we are the only spec excluded 2) Blacksmithing weapons were BoP and restricted to specialisations, and afair, also mh only or unique 3) Karazhan enh weapons consist of a fist (mh only), and axe (mh only) and a mace (unique afaik), meaning you NEED the mace for offhand (never dropped for me) 4) SSC and the eye offer 3 weapons, all dropping from the same boss (Alar). They include a fist weapon set (mh limited to mh (duh), oh being fast. as well as an axe (never dropped for me) 5) BT/MH offered an axe (unique), a fist weapon set (again fast oh) and a mace (never dropped for me) 6) SWP patch lifted a lot of these restrictions, but that was at the end of tbc IF blizz decides to implement the swp patch upon release, BS is awesome as enh as you will be able to get a super good weapon for each hand, so long as you grind the mats. If not, be prepared to get your arena game up if the loot gods aren't favourable, because their weapons are all that's left
@@MrOrmanley . Yes it's sub optimal. But you do get extra spell power and can use add lava lash into the rotation. Or simply do Blacksmithing - Axe or Mace. I prefer the axe for orc.
@R ch I hope it is nerfed. Your right it isn't fun playing that way, but lots of people will do it anyway to get progress faster and feel they are being value added to the groups.
So is the meta to level jewelcrafting, and make the bop items you need then level enchanting and enchant with bop enchants then level whatever is relevant to what you're trying to do long term?
I think one thing you missed from engineering , it should be close to required for hunters IMO due to the guns and highest ammo (but thats my opinion). but for me one of the biggest things to craft is the 'cloud gathering' helm, (you put it on your slide, but didnt say how important this is) this is something that makes a killing especially when the wind clouds get released, but even without them you can make 50-100g just running around gathering them an hour.
How are high level recipes handled in TBC? The most annoying part of professions for me in Classic is that you can get to max level in a profession but you then you need to farm bosses or mobs for ages just to get your recipe before you can make your item(s). Is this the same in TBC or are more high-end recipes also available directly from trainers?
Hey everyone! I need your advice, which option would be better? I got a rogue with Mining and Herbalism, got a lock with Herb and Alch. Rogue is my main and mostly i farm stuff and send it to the lock for crafting. In BC i'm thinking to get JW. Would it make more sense to unlearn Herbs on the rogue or on the lock? Are there many good gem recipies from reputation? Thanks in advance!
In such a bind already, commited so much to engineering already and now having to drop mining for LW or jewelcrafting and let an alt mine for me etc. Dunno what to do lol
yes this is true, you don't dismount to gather herbs. it did not start that way, but was patched to be that way so fingers crossed that's how it is in classic tbc
I got tailoring and engineering on my main (mage) + all 3 secondary, than Alche + herb on druid and i am going to level a shaman (cuz ally xD) as 2nd alt in TBC with Mining and probably skinning o.0. I believe I should drop engineering and get jewelcrafting on mage, I am defo keeping tailoring as it straight out gives you 5 pre-BiS items in spellstrike and spellfire sets...
im a feral druid and went tribal LW. from your video it seems like id be better off with elemental for bc. will i be able to choose a new spec in bc or am i gonna have to drop LWing and relevel it?
Nice video! I do disagree on two points though: primalstrike set from LW is also very good for hunters, maybe even better than the netherstrike set. And the second point, which is probably the most important: LW is recommended for every class for pve try-harding, as drums are simply overpowered.
Engineering, goggles. Alchemy, trinket Blacksmithing, weapons Then leatherwork for drums Finish off with JC or enchanting Should cost a fair amount to have all on one character
I like engineering for the high stamina trinkets, BiS plate goggles, and generally fun aspect. Other than that one, I think LW for drums, JC for gems, or Enchanting for ring enchants are all my picks.
Swords are not the greatest choice for shamans in BC :P Also i think that the only good specialization for rogues is hammersmithing, due too weapons speed, swords with 1,6 aren't viable for mh/oh with this class. One last thing - i saw many hunters with bloodmoons/2x 1h bs axes, so it's even more than rogues can benefit :) I like ur video, but 4/5 stars for the bs part ;)
@@yams_the_1st My guess would be August next year in normal circumstances but with covid i wouldnt be surprised for 2022 tbh, may as well just play karazhan and get your TBC fix that way

i´m thinking on running herb+mining on my gold alt. You think that would be better than herb+alchemy since i dont want to farm all the reps to get every recipe?
