Exactly..Questing can produce lots of raw cash and at same time show you where elites and hyperspawn points are. So at the least it train's you. All the grays you pick up an vendor means quests= cash..

@@RiceCrispyMadness because it's a new market of low level players who have high level characters wanting to get to 70 as quick as possible. And because low level dungeon forming will be scarce, they will be willing to pay for spam boost dungeons.
The reason to level through dungeons isn't that it gives good xp, it's that you get REP while leveling. You're getting more than one bird with the same stone, in order to be ready at 70 to hop into heroics and start getting gear and badges.
It also actually *saves* you time to dungeon grind. Because once you get all that reputation and push it to honored/revered, you can then finish off that reputation via doing all the quests that you skipped earlier. That rep will push you much closer to exalted - which you need for the reputation rewards and recipes.
dungeon grind all the way and save as many quests(not attunements obviously) to lvl 70 and then do the quests, all those "high" lvl quests that you would have gotten xp from is converted into extra gold reward. Then again i got enough for epic flyer already, but thats my plan atleast for the first month or so :)

Been herb/mining for half a level of open world questing and found probably 5x felweed and fel iron nodes total...but 2 fel lotus.... It's picked pretty clean and hellfire peninsula is likely not super great for herbing anyways (grassy zones are usually the best at least in classic)

It was a huge battle and at the end my friend who was away from the bulk got killed by a spriest, I made it to him just as he died and 1v1'd the spriest who was near full hp/mana and won as a Resto shaman lmao. We pushed them back and got justices, was so much fun.
I got 1500+ gold by the time I dinged 70, on a totally fresh character just by questing and vendoring stuff. After I trained abilities + flying I was down to around 90ish, and now I’ve got 700+, again just by leftover quests plus running dungeons and selling those items as well.
I was making 2k+ gold per level from 66-70 grinding primal manas in netherstorm. Having a repair vendor right there allows you to vendor greys to avoid down time. Questing is for scrubs
Last night I did a circuit of HFP up to the wall in primetime. Got 6 felweed and some dreamleaf. Around midnight, I did a full circuit of an empty WPL and EPL in around an hour. Got pretty much every single plaguebloom, mountain silversage and dreamleaf node I know of, and even a black lotus. Currently all on AH for over 250g. Plus levelled my herbalism over 340.
Title should've been : How I made 1000G on an EMPTY beta server with 0 competition. Also, saying you set yourself up with basics, food, ammo and 100g but you literally sent yourself 3.6K gold worth of bags lol. Considering all the vendor runs you didn't have to do cause of it, I can garantee you you'd have made a less gold overall w/o bags lol
You are assuming you are gonna be able to do ANY quests the first 2 weeks of launch. I don't think that will be the case unless you play on a severely low populated server

As a Paladin, I'll probably rush for the Sporregar Shield and go back to solo some old, mid-level classic instances for stuff to sell. It does make me reconsider my professions. I chose mining/blacksmithing, but skinning and enchanting probably would've been more profitable.

Your point about “an inflated economy server yielding even more gold” is irrelevant here, as these items will vendor for the same, regardless of server economy. He probably means that although the gold you get from vendors does not increase, the purchasing power does. If bots are busted items will increase in demand especially early on. You may be able to sell a couple rare items have enough to buy riding early

starting of with assumption that you will have space for doing quests in any reasonable speed, is very optimistic and layers will probably work agenst you whith the gathererers that will layerhop to clean nodes on every layer tho the prices really could be inflated by a lot, but deffinitely you need to consider at which period of day you will be playing because that radicaly changes lucklyhood of being able to gather Edit: taking in consideration layering during stress test, leveling by questing doesn't look too bad.
All of the people saying open world wont be possible have no idea. We may have a ton of layers and open world will be empty since everyone is in dungeons. Frankly, we just don't know until that first week comes.
You'll make well over a thousand gold just questing normally from 60-70. Selling bop quest rewards and looting all gray items to vendor. It's not hard at all to afford the slow flying mount

You don't just grind for the shield, the shattered halls trinket, the sethekk halls libram and you're suddenly good to go. You need Keepers of Time rep at reverred, among many other things. Ideally you want T4 gear or better. Don't be under any illusions that you'll strike it rich the moment you hit 70 in all greens.
If you got a guy around 35 that's the best bank alt you can do, max professions and a mount to go around town, becomes a very profitable character to have
Not really genuine to say u made 1000g from 'scratch' when ur running around in T2 Gear with a 100% speed mount whilst owning larger than normal bags Boost a Character to 58 and attempt to make as much as possible for 2 levels and you'll actually have a real video
