On the Badge thing: Kara originally did NOT give you badges. That was only introduced in 2.3 So it is likely that during P1: Kara WONT give you badges.

I agree, there are far more ways to be viable as a raider in TBC, rather than focusing on "optimal" which was classics obsession. It's why the game is simply more fun.
@Neal DoubleAA I don't see how. PvP should be skill based anyway. People getting a few pieces to at least not get crushed by gear in a competitive setting doesn't seem all that crazy to me. The elite will still be better, get crap faster, and still have the advantage...

@@Gilfy91 Fairly certain the proc threat is roughly the same as a level 60 sunder application. It's not a bad sword, but I'd take a higher dps weapon over it from my beta experience.

Depends on the level of pre nerf.. raids were nerfed alot and when 2.4.3 actually hit it was a huge nerf that basically opened the door for any guild to start stepping into swp which led us to the downfall that is wotlk

Badges of justice won't drop in raids till a later phase. This is in line with how it originally was rolled out in patch 2.3
I thought the badge dailies were added later in the game too.

Proc is equal to 1 application of sunder at lvl 70iirc, and thunderclap is usable in prot stance 🤷🏼♂️
