Just started playing WoW yesterday for the very first time. Thank you so much for this video!! This answers a lot of questions I had and helps me understand everything a lot quicker.. Much luv 💚 :>
I actually would like to correct if it hasn't hasn't already. In classic through wotlk, green quests still yield the same amount of xp as a yellow or red quest will. Only when they turn grey the xp is lowered.
As far as a reddit post, 6 levels lower will then change the xp of the quest even though it is still the same colour. Though this is for classic, in TBC I'm not entirely sure if that's true since for sure they've change reputation since you can level it up with greys
Right when I played back in like 2005 or something like that when I was a kid ! It was so hard to level up I just started the trial to see if I’d wanna get back into it , level 15 in like 2 hours that’s crazy fast
Starting my first Wow character today, doing classic with my friend who's been playing some sort of WoW for 15years +. Going alliance Warlock and my blizzard account is already on the authenticator thanks to Overwatch. Thanks for the info🤙
Your game experience will be very bad if you play a low pop server, UNLESS ITS A PVP SERVER You don’t want to play full / high population on a pvp server. It’s terrible
Not everyone agrees tho. I plsy on bloodsail buccaneers and I'd much rather stay here where we have a good fun community rather than move to a high pop server where noone knows everything and every interaction is strictly transactional. If i wanted that id just play retail lol
Lol I just found that out last night I’m new to wow I was like wtf 😬 I play eso for 6years n u can only eat one food at the time n have only one food or drink buff active
I cant seem to get the slash target to work. I have tried to write the name in one word and in two. So what do I do wrong? Even tho I have been playing 3 years now, there are still a lot I dont know about. Also, thank you for this video!! Its super helpful for us newbie players!! I wouldnt be angry if you made a class overview of all classes, like this one. A looooooot of youtubers I watch, just assume that everyone has been playing since retail! =(
There's a few reasons for this, a lot of people boycotting blizzard over their sexual allegations, micro transactions and overall terrible handling of the game. A lot of the playerbase that were on previously medium realms transferred to firemaw and gehennas and these are now mega servers with long queues at peak times. Which is probably better for long term as it gives people confidence in the longevity of the realm they're now on
Thanks for the great tips, I have a question tho, I been leveling in TBC and SoM leveling Tailoring and Enchanting along the way, on the video you mention that it is recommended to skip professions while leveling, the thing is, how do I get the materials needed once max level? Can I just return to low level zones or what else can be done?
you can farm gold at max level and just buy materials from the AH. Its gonna be much more efficient than farming those materials that you could just buy extremely cheap
I don't completely agree with the guide on this. Yes, if the only reason youre levelling professions is to have them at 300/375, what he says is true. However: levelling something like leatherworking or alchemy also allows you to use the things you create to make your levelling experience easier. I do however still not recommend actively buying the items off the AH while levelling, unless they are really cheap.
You can still level your profession while leveling your caracter, but don't buy anything in the AH. Level your profession that you can do, if you can't anymore, just keep the mats for later. For tailoring, you mostly need cloths from humanoids or undead mobs. Don't sell the cloths, keep them in your bank. For enchanting, it's your choice. You can keep all green or higher gear that you will loot for disenchant or sell them for money. At max level, after gaining a lot of golds, buy all you need at the AH for your professions.
I would say use Wowhead with a grain of salt, but you really need more like a pound. There is a LOT of misinformation on Wowhead or information that is just slightly inaccurate, especially with class guides. Use them more as a basic outline or to learn what the class is like, but don't follow them to a T.
Is worth to start wow classic as a complete noob? I played a lot of hearthstone and other mmos, but no wow experience. Are there players ? Is it dead? i read on reddit a lot that its dead.
It's not awful. There's plenty of people leveling alts and such. Certainly not what it was at launch but I still see lots of people running around lower level zones. Look for an active server and you will be fine.
Dont read reddit. Reddit is negative about everything. The game is definitely alive TBC and Vanilla. It's really fun you'll have a blast. Just choose a full server
About to get back into it myself. Did you jump in and how was it? I’d expect corn that I was late to wow classic and haven’t touched tbc yet that it’s probably still gonna have plenty players on the high pop servers.
Probably announce by summer/fall. We knew once TBC Classic was announced the holy trinity was coming back. Might as well get leveled, geared, and skilled to the max now before rushing during prepatch and burning out at WotLK launch.
I think the tip about questie is extremely bad, part of why classic is so good is the fact that the leveling process is actually engaging I agree that questie is great for people leveling an alt or that have already experienced the game but suggesting using questie to a beginner can pretty much ruin the experience of classic for them the sense of exploration and discovery that you get looking around the map and actually reading what the quests tell you
I’m a brand new player and I’m joining vanilla classic; and there is so much to learn :)
Just don't stand in fire.
@@froschderergerer7877I just did this….
I literally just started playing this game today for the first time. It’s was a lot to process but seeing this video it did help me.
How has it been? Are you still playing it? Do you recommend it?
I'm a little intimidated but I really want to try it (beyond the first 20 levels). How has it been? from a new players perspective

I played in 2008-09 so its been a long break, excited to play again
I played WOW up until Lich King then quit for 10 years +. Started playing again last month. It's stupid how fast you level in the new WOW.
Right when I played back in like 2005 or something like that when I was a kid ! It was so hard to level up I just started the trial to see if I’d wanna get back into it , level 15 in like 2 hours that’s crazy fast
Trying this finally...thanks for the tips. Second log today!

Friend just drug me into classic. Never did Wow before. came from Everquest and ESO. Thanks for the guide
The first impression of a new player should be far better in WOTLK, the classic version will be very popular for sure
agreed! WOTLK was my favorite expansion
Just got into classic tbc and I'm gonna level and gear up my character and maybe an alt until WOTLK, I'm hyped asf lol
WOTLK classic is bringing me back. I played some during TBC, but Wrath was my jam.
How can any servers build up to high pop if you're directing ppl to just roll more on the ones that already have high pop?
Irrelevant. Playing on a high/full pop server raises the quality of they game exponentially. It's not the players job to manage server populations.
Your game experience will be very bad if you play a low pop server, UNLESS ITS A PVP SERVER

When i move my and my target frames after relog it is always reseted, any idea how to make it stay where i moved and locked it to?
Whenever I move my portraits it always goes back to default if log off and log back on.
your client must be in "read only", try to change it
i used a lvl 58 boost because the early zones were really dead, and now i have no idea what to do lol
Wait...you can eat and drink at the same time?! :O
Lol I just found that out last night I’m new to wow I was like wtf 😬 I play eso for 6years n u can only eat one food at the time n have only one food or drink buff active
Lmao noob
My gma always said I had to finish my food before I could drink my juice. I doubt this it's true you can eat and drink at the same time.
lol
yes
Thank you so much, I'm a new player and this helps me a lot!

thxxxx, helped me a lot
15 years since I played and I'm playing BC
Great video! Very insightful Subbed.
pretty sad that there are only 6 medium pop realms left
There's a few reasons for this, a lot of people boycotting blizzard over their sexual allegations, micro transactions and overall terrible handling of the game. Yeah you can go back to the low level zones and the mobs will still drop loot
you can farm gold at max level and just buy materials from the AH. Its gonna be much more efficient than farming those materials that you could just buy extremely cheap
Thank you guys!!

WoW is probably the most forgiving MMO I have ever played. For the most part, folks are friendly enough.
You missed the unpaid leveling guides from the curse app. Questie isn't exactly a guide
Please more videos like this
Great vid.
For the bag slots u need phone number and auth
Thanks I wanted to level through the game for real before Wrath
i just started last week. in 2004 i didn't play since i was broke
Enemy Nameplates is actually in the settings menu. Interface -> Names -> Enemy Units (under Unit Nameplates)
Or just press V
You can also just press the "V" key
You can eat and drink at the same time, also about heroic dungeons....
The worst advice is the one telling you to not do green quests.
I actually want to join the RP Server now.
1:32 Lol
Let me know when they announce wotlk and I’ll resub
Probably announce by summer/fall. We knew once TBC Classic was announced the holy trinity was coming back. Might as well get leveled, geared, and skilled to the max now before rushing during prepatch and burning out at WotLK launch.
Announced
I prefer medium size realms less competition on quests. And I never have to wait to log in.
Thanks I’ve been thinking about getting a month sub xD
1.3k views in 6 hours, nice!!
Can't believe you're promoting the cash shop.. Shame.
