I try and come up with a different story for each place. My overarching story being that the Minutemen have united the commonwealth. For Taffington Boathouse, it's an important location for trade. A well-traveled road flanked by access to a river and the sea. In Nordhagen I've built a hamlet. In that hamlet there's a harmless cult of illiterate tech worshipping scavvers. They used to live across the bay but had to leave the Boston Airport after the BOS threatened their lives. In The Slog, there's a ghoul reservation for all those who wish to be near other ghouls. Dalton Farm is an important port for north-south sea trade.
@@grubert3535 I tend to play more with the timeline and the open window that it gives me rather than contemporary AKA 210 years after the bombs. If you think about it, it's the one blessing that Bethesda gave us, that 210-yard Time Gap. A lot can happen in that timeline, especially with lifespans being expectedly shorter, if not dramatically, do irradiation etc. A lot can happen in a single location in that much time. That's the kind of story I try and tell. It's very rarely pretty, the story I mean, but it's as realistic and accurate as I can make it. This is the other reason why my profile has well over a thousand mods
Always nice to see build videos where the builder doesn't forget to include bathrooms for the residents. I cannot see how a settlement could have high happiness while havig to go outside the settlement to go in the bushes LOL
I just remembered there is a mod called THE TRAIN where you make your way to the front of the train and once you get there, the train becomes a settlement and yours to build also with a companion as well. This is way better than the train but the train is always moving I think, not sure about it but thought you'd maybe like to see about that after building this cool settlement. If you had Transfer settlments you could make blueprint of this and share it. I was curious which mod had the flat carts for the base part of your train build?
looks really nice and cool! it would kinda make sense for a mobile base in the commonwealth, and though if in some places the tracks are all messed up and buried, they do all circle around and link back up if follow them, just like the rail road tracks and roads in new vegas.
laying out new rails or repairing them would also not be the worst work to do in a wasteland... i mean... heavy and hard work sure... but WAY easier then reinventing electronics, chemical or programming if lost to the wasteland. Realisticly spoken. Not everyone can pick that up if the informations are lost. But for a train trail... you propably could figure that our faster in comparison. Would still need the material and protection on the work place until laid out.
There was an episode of the BBC Series "Survivors" back in the 80's (post plague apocalypse show) one group of folks were living in half a dozen train carriages pulled up in a forest, it looked pretty cozy! - I also think they'd be a great option in a zombie apocalypse. My FO4 settlement builds are purely functionary, I have issues when it comes to making them looked lived in/cluttered/etc.
reminisent of the Tiny homes of compact living we've seen trend these days. Great build although I'd probably make the bedrooms areas bigger for my own which would mean I'd probably need more train cars for expansion but I love how you did this, so compact in everything.
FYI it would be best if you didn't leave FCs in your power armors as NPCs be they friend or foe can then steel your PA suits and your followers don't need there to be an FC in the suit of PA for them to use it.
Greetings Mr. Jabber! This whole build is lit,as usual; my favorite spaces are the engine and the last carriage. The shot from the ground up at the revealed power suits is totally fire! The concept of mounting a multi-lensed(?) camera instead of the headlight on the nose to feed to the screen in the engine room is brilliant! I also admire the fact that you placed this build next to your COA tower at Starlight Drive In; the combo makes such an intriguing scene. Thank you!
It is confirmed in the Fallout universe that there is working cars, but they're usually only used by large military forces that can actually supply them with fuel.
Very cool! Thank you for sharing the mods, I love the base building and I am trying to learn more. I play hell placing and manipulating items into position must take forever to stack boxes and place items, turning flipping things on X,Y,Z is a pita. again very nice great job!
Ever since day one playing Fallout 4, I have waited for a modder to make a functional train. You know repair the tracks and have an actual train moving up and down the tracks....I have NO idea if that is even possible with the game engine or not (get it game ENGINE).
Honestly love these train type builds you have for settlements. This one reminded me of Metro Exodus to some extent. If the train was actually usable in-game. Oh MAN think of the possibilities!
You should check out RangerDave's (AKA EvilViking13) Bedford Station mod. It turns Bedford Station into a settlement and gives you the basics for building a train.
Pardon my newest to building , but are you using a mod for these builds? Are you on console or PC? I absolutely love these builds and would love to learn to do my own
Love these tiny cramped builds a ton you've been making recently! The areas are so cozy and feel really lived in too
The trick with building in so many locations is trying desperately to avoid repetition... I usually succeed... Usually
100% ....I find that It's harder when I post my personal builds too. It's becomes very apparent if im doing the same thing all the time.

They should definitely make me king. Defeat the evil Institute, rebuild the commonwealth....restore indoor plumbing.

Good question... Haven't played in a month or two. I'll have to look it up.

Instantly thought of Snow Piercer when i saw this!
Another solid build. 👌👍 I love the power armor deployment for quick response.

Fair
youre on a roll with these sick builds
This reminds me of Ranger Dave’s battle train from his Bedford station build

For the sake of speed in completing builds, these power armors are static objects ( fusion cores included). They can't actually be used.
Great build! The cockpit/drivers room is a good idea
Thank you 🙏😊

Appreciate the comments! 🙏
Fall Out really missed a huge asset if they had vehicles and moving bases in the game

@@Sleeper____1472 not in fall out 4
Omg, love it…💖🥰💯
Very creative on the engine room there...well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome build. Great use of the bunker - I would have never thought of using it like that.
Glad you like it!
it's a shame fallout 4 doesn't have a model for the tenders these trains run like 76 does
Another awesome build, i love your creativity!
Appreciate that

Yeah it's a bit of a nightmare sometimes. But if it comes out okay the payoff is worth it
Love your builds bro! Surprised to see you not have more subs, hella underrated
I appreciate that!

I'm with you on that one
Bro this is super cool. You’re creative unlike myself lol.
I should show my older stuff haha. Horrific. It just takes practise I guess

This really cool!
Wonderful build!
Nice job on the train
This would be one awesome mod
Fantastic work❤🎉
Thank you!

I'll check it out, Ive found some additional mods since I posted this. I might do a followup at some stage.
Ok this is Snowpiercer lol
So good 💯👌. Do you export your builds as mods? If not, please do. I'm sure many would love to have your builds, me included.
I've made blueprints before but I have no idea how to do the Nexus part
Discord link seems busted can you link it in the comments?
Nvm just took forever to load
Hell yeahhhhhh
Pardon my newest to building , but are you using a mod for these builds? Are you on console or PC? I absolutely love these builds and would love to learn to do my own
Yes sir. Mods on PC. Listed in the description. There's tutorials on RUclips that should be able to help you in that regard
VERY COOL!
How do you get the hatch and ladder ?
Those mods are linked in the description of the video. Hope that helps
Let’s go
letsss gooo 💥

Static unfortunately
What is a sittlement, or "sicond story" ??? Is it SO hard to speak like a normal person?
Thanks for the feedback
I love the train and this is just an idea you can make a Institute train
your voice sounds like that of Korg, notable for his kiwi accent and marvel fame,🏔⛰
Cut it out 🤣
