🦀 Question, can you make a video for a travel card strategy for someone without a business? Let’s say middle to lower class. All RUclipsr talk about businesses & first class but it’d be nice to see something different.
I like drive when possible, and go places within driving distance, especially if you have a family. IHG premier is great; 4th night free when paying with points, Holliday Inn Expresses are very consistent + free breakfast, and you can often buy points for 0.5 cents.
I've been gardening with the Ink cards, as I've been 4/24, but I'm finally back down to 3/24 and looking for a non-business card. You may have helped me pick the AAdvantage card, Seb. Good video, as always.
🦀 Really eyeing the Bilt for dining + rent in a HCOL city, and finishing up an Amex Business Gold bonus! Question for YOU, what's your favorite Vegas buffet? 🙂
🦀 I’ve been watching you for years and I just realized I hadn’t subscribed 🤦🏻. Also I have 3 capital one cards. Venture x I got last year. Savor one I got 3-5 years ago and a venture I product changed from a quick silver that I’ve had for 7+ years.
🦀 you mentioned a cap one rule of two personal cards.. when did that start?? I have savor one and product changed to quicksilver from platinum to keep building cash back so i can apply for Venture X in future for SUB and consolidation. Otherwise, thinking credit union is next step. That might be a good video.. whats your picks in the CU CC space?
🦀 No card offers on my plate right now. But curious about your airline comment. Why do you think American (OneWorld) is the only 1 of big 3 that has lots of value for aspirational travel? Just a gut feel or based on lots of data?
🦀I’m working chase and BOA cards with 18 month no interest. I’m putting my monthly spend into high interest savings and will pay it off later in full! I’ve been playing the credit card game for a long time so I’ve used up most of the easy plays already.
The Venture X Business seems like a good card even without bothering to meet that rather extreme SUB. I’d rather put that spending towards a couple of Inks.
🦀 CSR vs VX... currently in the CaptialOne ecosystem... but based in Illinois with Southwest/United where I could get more value from CSR... not too sure as both are appealing
🦀🦀 After being declined twice (due to too many inquiries) I have finally got the Barclay Business Earner card so Wyndham Diamond Member and next will try to match Caesar! 😊
@@AskSebby It was in late 10-2018 I watched your video and learn the Caesar status-march trick via Wyndham that saved me huge resort fees! Hope we can meet in Vegas one day!
@@AskSebby Applied in the weekend and got approved on Monday. Got Wyndham Diamond on Tuesday so Status-match Caesar and got Diamond in the weekend! Have received the card Monday so overall took 9 calendar days! Sometimes it’s so EZ!!! 😊😊😊
Sebby help!! Is the Hilton Honors Surpass the best credit card to sign up for if I plan to spend 30k at a Hilton venue? 155k sign up plus 12x points for Hilton charges. Could potentially be 500k points total plus 5th night free and another night free for 15k spend. Worried Hilton points aren’t as great of a value compared to other cards!
🦀 finishing up the Venmo $200 sub. Not sure which card is next as I'm getting the point where I have good coverage at 3% for most/all categories with my current set of cards as well as an Aspire... maybe start to hunt for the 5%? Or more aspirational travel...
🦀 Question. Is the "Barclays Business Earner" the Wyndham one where you get 8x back on gas? I've been eyeing that card for a while since where I live nothing is walkable and it's visa so I just get gas at Costco
🦀 Hey awesome video , I’m new to this card rewards game . . I only have a secured card to make credit and a Home Depot credit card. I have a 727 fico . I’m thinking to apply for the chase unlimited . Do you think the citi AA platinum card would work as my second card for a travel set up? Any tips would be be appreciated thanks
🦀Since I'm 4/24, on the Ink train. Next one is CIU, then CIP... or the CSP if it does get the elevated bonus. Currently have a targeted 90K/$4k in 6mo offer for the Amex Gold, but may get the Wyndham Business Earner before a Vegas trip... to get the Caesars Diamond Anniversary dinner... not a real rush for the Amex Gold.
Talked to ceasars rewards they said it could take up to 45 days for wyndham to match, even though online it says 12. Calling, chatting or anything cant help, in person cant help either. Just have to wait and hope you match.
Have the Ink business unlimited and would like a card that will allow for points transfer. Business preferred or CSP? Which would be a better decision? What are the decision points?
With this little context, i have spent 50k so far on my credit card YTD and want another one as i keep spending. I just started this video as i type this but what are the best value credit cards? I have 2 cash back CCs currently. Thanks and love the channel!
Have you looked at cards like Wise and Youtrip? My feinds in Asia rave about them because the exchange rates make them cheaper than using credit cards and paying the exchange they offer. When overseas to you usally charge in local currency?
I’ve had the Bank of America Premium Rewards Card for a couple years and I like that a $100 American Airline online gift card triggers the airline credit. Compared to other airlines that won’t trigger that credit on gift cards.
🦀 back in 2017 I was told that I needed to be Diamond or higher to get my wife’s crab legs steamed and not cold at Paris. 2024 and it’s been steamed crab legs ever since!
I’ve been thinking to get the citi aadvantage but I don’t really fly with American Airlines , do you think it is still worth getting it? I do know their redemptions to and from Asia is very competitive and I fly to Asia twice a year. Should I get this first or the chase preferred? I have Amex plat and chase freedom at the moment alongside with other credit cards.
Ugh I'm trying to wait until next year to open any personal cards since I keep getting denied for the Venture X but there are so many good SUBs out there. Currently waiting trying to finish up the Marriott biz card for those 5 free nights
🦀 thanks for all the info sebby. Recent venture x/savor one adopter here. Could you do a breakdown for major carriers from the us to travel destinations with capital one points like you showed the advantage card in this video? That helped me a lot
Do you find any problems with the BoA website?! Interface, recurring payments, minimum payment deducted when the balance is zero...Not too conducive to using the card.
🦀. Ive been wanting the business earner card. Was hoping for an elevated offer but this wasnt what i wanted 😢. The opportunity cost of 50k wyndham points on 11k spend is too high. Id rather churn another ink or throw that spend elsewhere. Especially when you consider the hurdle of barclays and them likely giving some toy limit lol.
Hi Sebby, enjoy your videos. My question is; doesnt getting all these cards mess with your credit rating? Do you cancel old ones to offset the new? Maybe a good idea for a video? Thanks
To be honest it’s helped mine and I have 14 (personal) cards now. As long as you pay off the cards you should be fine. In most cases you get the sign up bonus and then down grade to a free card. (If needed or wanted) main idea is PAY OFF THE CARDS
I’ve just gotten into the game. Finishing up an AmEx BCP welcome bonus, finished an AmEx Green bonus, and about to plunge into the Chase pool soon. I’ve learned a ton from your channel…thank you!! 🦀
I’m not 100% sure but I think you have to cancel it and then reapply. (AKA) transfer the points out and then cancel and reapply. AGAIN I’m not sure but that’s how it goes to my knowledge. Good luck to you though!

Yes. Most channels push travel. Some us just want money back
Just because you don’t have a “business” doesn’t mean you can’t get business cards.
Just had my Marriott Brilliant come in the mail, had to catch the 185k SUB before it went away at the end of the month!

Wynn!

No
