About the Single Plane Golf Swing
The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.
Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.
This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.
The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.

Guys, i strated golf 8 months ago, i started with the conventional swing, i am a quick visual learner: when i saw a video of sir moe norman, i wanted to learn and to try. My driver today can’t go under 310, idestroy my driver, i am so confident in it and the power you can release is absolutely mind blowing ( i added some salt by taking some advices from bryson too on how to maximize the power) and when i follow the exact lessons and tips given by todd my irons are just flying straight. Please guys give it a try, it’s amazing how natural every shot is. All love from africa todd. PLEASSSSSE CAN WE HAVE MORE TIPS ON THE SHORT GAME❤❤❤❤❤❤

Since I started this single plane journey my distances have increased without me trying to swing harder. As you make better contact and get more consistent, the ball speed and smash factor will increase. As you get better at hitting the single plane positions naturally the speed will start to increase naturally! Thanks again for all the great information you provide Todd! I went from 20+ handicap to an 8... hopefully next year I can get close to scratch :)

One year and about 4-5 months ago I got introduced to Moe Norman information and began watching golfers swings and particularly Bryson. I hadn’t golfed much, maybe 4-6 times over the prior 30 years.
When I was talked into taking a day off and playing 9 holes of golf. Using 35-40 year old clubs. I shot a 129+ that day for 9 holes and stopped counting around the 8th-9th holes.
Yet, I was hooked. Looked at Moe Norman and what you presented here. Emulated that swing. Changed to cobra one length irons, got a new driver and clubs. Kept studying Moe Norman, single plane swing and Bryson.
Now I’m pretty much a bogey golfer at 66 yo going on 67 yo, with some limited lower back flexibility and some general arthritis. I walk most of my 9 or 18 hole rounds. Down to a bogey golfer in general with a HCP of 16. Very happy with this and enjoy the game. Tinker and try out different clubs and approaches. Course management has now become the big concentration at this point.
One day I may get to single digits. But in less than a year and a half have gone from 129+ for 9 holes to around 90 for 18.
Getting rid of the elbow drop down toward the body is a hallmark of the consistent single plane swing.

Bryson has much bigger turn on his pass parallel take back swing .Also he lift his left foot way up to generate much more power on his down swing. Amazing 👏

Yes love Bryson and the single plane swing. Another one I have to add is the grips he uses. Upgraded to the jumbo max grips that Bryson uses and they make a lot of difference. You can feel the club in your hands much better through the swing. Single plane and now grips helped my game the best

It is true that Moe had a precise and compact swing. Tiger analyzed it as something like a grooved pull (which also intrigued me)! We all know a true square swing is at the center (and a grooved pull is close). I do not know of a grooved and slight push swing, but it certainly is possible. There are pull-hitters with great power in baseball. Anyway, I see Bryson as having powered up to get to 3rd in the World for Long Drive and in Winning 2 U.S. Opens, he can be consistent and accurate as well as long and has a COMPLETE GAME
that led to his 58 as well as the 2 US Opens. Watch him hole out from greenside bunkers, short and long chips and pitches as well as excellent long bunker shots he pulled off under great pressure in the last US Open...truly astounding! He is a Hot and Cold Putter like Daly but when he is on, it is almost magical.

The new further away Bryson maintains his spine angle (space relationship to ball) better so he can go at it harder, he doesn't
back away on downswing at all. In Bryson 1.0 because he is standing closer to the ball, halfway down and into impact he is backing out and going up to compensate for the close to ball set up - unlike Moe, Todd, Trevino and Iron Byron! (Tiger in late 2000s struggled with driver because he was too close to the ball)

I'm a father and I'm currently introducing my 2 young, beautiful daughters (9 and 10 years) to this wonderful game. I'm absolutely sold on the single plane. I'm not a life time player but I've caught on quickly and I'm a single handicap (I've been playing since 2019). I naturally addressed the ball with a single plane mindset but watching other players and listening to other theories, I did everything to abandon my natural instinct to address the ball and swing on a single plane. I struggled with contact in my longer clubs. Anyhow, I'm back on board and I'm smoking it! Sorry for the biography. I said all that to ask this: How do you feel about a swing change for these girls who are very young on their journey? I have always told them to not have swing thoughts. Square the face and get comfortable with it. I want them not to develop bad habits. I want them to follow me on the path to the most consistent swing theory and the most simplified, machine-like golf swing mechanics. Does a swing change this early on make sense? They've both been playing for less than 2 years.

Hey Todd, Bryson talks a lot about "swinging down the feet line" and just adjusting his face angle a little bit if he wants a fade or draw. Is that something you think about in your swing and something worth thinking about in my swing?

How do you feel about bracing into the lead leg during the backswing? This seems to limit but not totally prevent(per video) a little trail side shift for me. I seem to notice Bryson tugging with lead arm before lower body starts to rotate.

No & I think that's why Byson's swing sometimes produces a stronger draw. The knees braking system of Todd from the subtle breaking of Moe is extremely important.

Depends on your swing speed. Higher speeds will benefit more from one length.

    • @tonybarber420
      @tonybarber420 3 месяца назад +1

@@Kevaleen well to be honest its just a normal golf swing with a stance slightly wider than shoulders and basically standing farther from the ball... he has said in another vid tjat with his 6 iron hes about 26 inches away from the ball... try it with a 6 iron in your driveway and get a tape measure and feel what its like being 26 inches away from the ball... and then make a swing, it will feel like youre reaching for the ball but you will get used to it.

The limits of the body can be utilized to square the club face consistently. This is what you can learn from Bryson. Hope that helps.
