I remember watching this series for the first time. When they revealed the final product after all their hard work, my eyes widened and my mouth dropped open a little 🤤(and the music in the background took it over the top). Absolutely stunning; superb job guys!
That song actually dates back to their first Civic build back in 2011 (possibly even before that), I still remember watching that way back in the day. It's awesome how far their channel has come over the years
Thanks for producing this 20min wrap up of the build. Whilst I would hate to miss out of all of the full episodes, this was a great way to remember them - and the ending was glorious! Well done Moog for putting ur mate first. Truly inspirational - and your music was epic as always. Cheers boys.
19:36 not a Civic guy, never saw their appeal, but man... that car looks MINT! Great work MCM and friends, that was awesome.
sames, especially this model, definitely has grown on me.
a lot of people will never understand what honda does with those little vtec engines. but im very grateful that you guys managed a very tasteful build without taking a piss out of the civic for once. If you really refine that build and learn to drive it you've got a very fun and fast track day car on your hands.
Man.. I've got a lot of friends, coworkers, and acquaintances in life, but I would give so much to have the car friend ship you two share. It's been such a long time since I discovered your channel, and I truly cherish the videos you two make. The sarcasm, jokes, trumped up rivalry, and some much appreciated autism dabbled in just makes your channel so frigging good. Really love you guys, and always look forward to your very entertaining videos.
Everyone who deals with road salt cried a little watching you zip those LCA bolts out so easily. Seriously, the cars around Chicago of that era require a flame wrench and a sawzall to remove LCAs usually.
I had an eg Hatch & Del Sol when I lived in Chicago, both 40% rust & crust by the time I sold them. Brutal to work on
Crying in canadian
@@notsevenfeettall it happens on Toyotas too. I’ve worked on a few.
They started salting the roads in western Washington and yeah in the bin
@@ARamseyGuy soaking them in copper paste would/will just futureproof doing maintenance on it... had to cut my lca bolts at the rear on my eg hatch too, soaked all the 3 with copper paste and now you can zap em in and out any day of the week, GER here - sadly got the lowest trim and smallest engine still a fun car nevertheless :)
All the lag, none of the boost. Love it
This has got to be one of my fav builds on the channel. It’s up there for sure. I got a soft spot in my heart for the golden era of Hondas. The end product is beautiful. And the “let me hold you” song is beautiful as well.
Would love to see a reasonably priced turbo k24 conversion from the best 4wd chanel on youtube. Keep up the great work guys
Thanks for the upload, always feels like hangin out with old friends.👌 Without this video,my day would've been IN THE BIN.
Super enjoyable series, I love the shortening of it here, but I also really love watching each episode in the series. ❤
I loved this build, it was truly heartwarming when moog surprised Marty with the paint job you two are legends
This build was brutal, but that ending made it so worth it-wonderful stuff, well done once again chaps on a great series.
You boys have gotten efficient over the years, no way I could do a full resto in anything less than an hour.
editing is ON POINT! Much enjoyed watching :)
looks like someone had fun chopping this together . its frantic
This brought back so much nostalgia. Love these 90s civics and how light they were. A Del sol was my 2nd car (learned manual on it) and it eventually got a B16 swap. Now 20 years later, I'm more into BMW Ms and C63s but always will have a soft spot for these fun, low-maintenance, and tossable cars.
Oneday I hope I get a friend like moog. Honestly seeing them work on cars and slowly make them better makes my day. Congrats Marty.
I love these! 😍 IN THE BIN!!! I missed this 🤣
This was sick. The ending the car came out beautiful. I have a 97’ EK had. 95’ EG (EH2) eventually will do CRX as well. That 88-00’ golden era you either get it or don’t. Nice job on the edits, motor work and the paint work!!
100% agree!, 👍🏼
Love it, great recap for those who weren't or aren't able to watch the full build videos. Car turned out so great. Fantastic job. I hope these keep coming. I gotta commit to losing some weight and buying some of your merch. Least I can do for the 10 years of great stuff. Gaps in between of me watching but I've been loving the 4x4 stuff lately. Not going to stop commenting about fraser island until you guys go there!
I wish I had that car to take to meets and autocross here in the states. I would be a legend. The 20 minute makeover was inspiring. 😁🤘🥃
Got myself a 10 year old 96 EK4 way back in my young days. I thought it would only last for a maximum of 5 years... I sold it in 2020 and still regret that decision. It never once let me down and everything always just worked. Yes, it was rattling, the brakes were underwhelming and of course: it was a Civic. But it was a simple, reliable, fun car.
Great series and so many good memories! Got the poster hanging in my living room :)
i feel this, you sell them to move on but you end up wanting to drive them again... it's intoxicating really... welp got a civic and a prelude here so im, for now, happy enough
I don't know which one of you that did the final edit MOOG or Marty, but I really love your breakneck speed editing. Making mere hours seem like seconds. Film magic. Now you only wish the whole build took this amount of time in real life. Ha ha ha!
Seriously one of your best vids ever! Made my heart sing to see Marty so happy!
This is a fun throwback to all the old Honda nuggets you've owned, it felt kind of like a feature build but in short format and it must've cost you loads of time for "only" 20 minutes of video... Loved it guys keep it up!
I've been watching over 10 years I've watched all of the episodes multiple times... You guys definitely need to do this montage with Gramps, supergramps, the Mira and the fairlady... All of the longer builds!
I've got 4 kids and as soon as the Christmas episodes drop it's on regardless 😂 quality content.
I really loved watching this the first time and now I might have to watch it all again.
Moog: owns any Honda
Also Moog: spouts philosophical prose about acceptance and perspective
Someone had fun in the editing booth. This was like the TLDR of the civic build. Loved it. ❤
You guys rock. The ending was fantastic. Much respect
This is one of the best episodes I've seen in a long time, keep it up mates.
IN THE BIN!!!
My wife and I for the last year have been using the term IN THE BIN for so much stuff. It’s a natural move here and so funny.
PLEASE do a IN THE BIN teee. I will be all over it and so will my wife.
Thankyou for including the track listing in the description
yeah no doubt about it, that final reveal and the music in the background. MAN!!! Amazing job guys keep it up. i was honestly watching this video to get some drive and inspo to continue on my mazda build
Great tear jerking summation, boys. 🤌
Moog's favorite car, excited to see the next Civic!
I like the long series and videos. But this one is almost asmr satisfying
one of my fav series, was hysterical to see you guys work on it
Beautiful message guys. World needs more of that final message more then ever. Love in-spite of our differences.
This 👍
Don't ever stop being so dang wholesome!
Epic "In the bin!" compilation 2023
Loved the build at the time, this is just excellence compressed into 20 minutes of pure joy.
Loved the cameo snippet of Daniel Day Lewis
Nothing like making your best mates day. Well done boys.
the one episode that Honda owners always needed but never got. condensed, factual, even "in the bin" gets a workout, because that's what this car is.
maybe get a Celica or something "cheap off the internet" for a future build. I'd be into that.
Loved the series when it was dropping and this was a great recap of some of the best parts
19:56 That's the thing what is this car all about! The smiles that it gives :) People are so hung up on big horsepower numbersand "street cred" that they forget that the car should be fun!
You're such an inspiration. Long live your friendship
No word of a lie, the best looking EK I've ever seen!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Awesome job!
I absolutely love your yellow Civic EK. Great job - very entertaining and inspiring video!
Editing was tops on this video! Well done boys. Awesome vid! 👍
That Honda civic is amazing it goes really fast out Road Race Track 👏👏👏👏👏
Best Civic ever made!
Perfect wrap up just in time for the turbo civic vs Vtec civic battle!
18:10 Moog your a stunning guy fella, You could not have worded life better, Thank you both for being who you are because you bring greatness to this world, its not the car videos its the persons you are: Respect
For a moment I thought it was another Civic all together. Looked like you guys were about to start your own Civic Racing League.
Wish this was a longer series beautiful outcome
It is on the main channel
There is an extremely long series, you're in for a treat! Just look up MCM civic
Certainly enjoyed the short version and the series of this build. I think my favourite part was the voice over at the end by Moog speaking about his respect and love for his great friend Marty. Awesome
Glad that you didn't throw it into a bin.. I know it's not a original Type R but hey, a piece of automotive history
Your editor deserves a raise!
Watching Moog hate this project the whole time made this very intertaining for sure, ❤ you guy's and all the maad build's,
*"Mighty Car Memories"* 😎👍
Vtec always had a iconic sound. I love Hondas they don't sound bad if the parts and mods are done right
Ah I remember seeing Marty sad when Moog took the civic after winning the bet. Only to see him so happy after seeing his car back!
Best ASMR channel on the internet!
What a satisfying ending to a video
A really great daily driver... with some boost. What a great clasic car. And a good friend, supporting thier mate in a dilusional fantasy world.
Moon Buggy, now THAT I could understand.
Now that MCM is quickly becoming the best Honda Car Channel on RUclips, can i suggest a Honda Jazz with a K20/K24 swap?
This has been the nicest ASMR experience 🤣
It’s been forever since I seen you guys !!
I love this, I'd watch all of these if you made it for every build series you've done.
2:20 i must have missed this bit when i watch the episode.. that joke caught me off guard 😂
The 15 year old me that built this car with every cent I ever had till I was 17 is so happy about where it’s gotten, my original dream was to do a facelift on this and paint it yellow but I just took what I can afford!
I picked to work on a civic ek all because the budget civic eg build many many years ago
Have photos of this from when I purchased is silver and damaged to being complete ( or somewhat complete )
Got to have fun with cars. You guys do it.
My dream car since 90's.
Would love to see you guys build a successful Corolla sportivo
We need to see a race between this and moogs vtec mini 😂
Wow, I cannot believe they managed to fully restore and paint a Honda Civic in under half an hour. That's amazing!
How a Honda should be build 🤝🏼🔥
The ending was epic
Pause at19:58 pure happiness right there! 😆 Awesome and great job guys!
heartwarming
These are the perfect car for the streets. So much fun, you don't need to be going 200km/hr +.
This car once it's done... beautiful 😢
World's best bromance ❤
Brilliant edit!
My god... I love the disrespected series and the purity of just watching to blokes with the right tools get things done, but this should be considered ASMR.
I especially enjoyed the spooning..
Some vehicles just live in our hearts, they aren't always the fastest or the nicest to look at but we love them. For me it's my diesel 83 yota, rusty, slow, ugly, but he's my boy and I'll spend stupid money to keep him around another 40 years.
pure concentrated mcm straight to my veins
18:20
Wow…car looks great!
Best car of your colection.😊
the feet part and in the bin are always the funniest, almost what video for that hahahha
There definitely should be a video like this made of every one of your builds love it 🤌🤌
🤔 this car Turbo would be an absolute unit🤑🫡
"spoon your skunk until it mugens" - Moog
Top supercut lads
da color looks hellla cleannnn.. fiire
The joy is real 🔥👌🏼
