I'll never understand people being surprised by Henry pointing the gun at Joel. In case you didn't notice, he isn't on THIS side of sanity anymore. ya' know, after shooting his own little brother.
"Without a second thought, he just shot himself."
I wouldn't think twice either.
It’s not random. The infected were underground and it was brought up when they were planning their escape early in the episode. (Same with the bloater the big infected brute as shown in the previous episode with Kathleen and Perry)
it was shown in the 4th episode that ground that was pulsating it was the infected underground so this isn't random. he shot himself coz sam was the only thing that he cared for
oooooh, damn. didn't realize about that pulsating ground at all. makes a bit more sense now :) thx
He shot hinself because all the horrible things he had done for sam was all for nothing, gone in an instant. He couldnt live with himself for even one more second without Sam.
Henry killing himself was really no surprise. He had already committed the ultimate act of betrayal to save his little brother's life. Ironically, this caused the rise of Kathleen to power-- being the sister of a beloved martyr.
From Henry's perspective, without Sam-- he had no reason to live. So he killed himself after he was forced to kill the creature that Sam had become.
The fact that she called that a stupid decision and that he should of thought it threw just pissed me of. I would like to see her be rational after she shoots her little brother...
To be a "collaborator" with Fedra is to cooperate with Fedra, not oppose them, just to clear that up.
Henry was trying to slow down the situation to process what was happening that's why he shot the floor in front of Joel. Both him and Joel were awoken and confused and Henry's first reaction was to protect Sam, but soon realized Sam was turned and he needed to save Ellie. He points the gun at Joel to, once again, slow the situation down and process what had happened.
lack of empathy its all i saw in this reaction
The infected were always underground. You saw that in the last episode when the ground was moving up and it was stated from this episode from Henry that Federa forced the infected underground years ago. They probably honestly tossed what were the recently infected underground somewhere and that just kept building up over time and probably some people who were trying to escape through the tunnels were probably the same way, eventually got infected. And remember, most of those were clicker variants, so they were probably following the sound of the trucks as they move along and the cracking of the foundation of the house. When it comes to Kathleen not immediately killing Henry, sometimes as the character the situation happens a bit too fast to process and she probably wanted the satisfaction of killing her brothers reason as to why he died plus she wanted to kill them all anyway, so she was also probably thinking of way to kill them all really quick while savoring the moment. Though that is all about speculation. And for Ellie, we can clearly see the Ellie is very naive about the world. She thinks she is invincible in many circumstances and she hasn't really seen it often the downward effect of someone coming to be infected whom she could have helped at the time. We see that there are many amputees in the Boston QZ because they had to immediately get their limbs chopped off in order to save them from the infection, she could have done that with Sam, but she was overconfident in her immunity and that's how we find out that isn't how that works and her reassurance is the reason he died albeit it would have been traumatic for Sam to have his leg cut off, but that would have ultimately saved him. Henry chooses to go out because his entire purpose in life was to take care of his little Brother. He is heartbroken and in that deepest point of depression, he loses all sanity and decides to take his life either because he blames his own hubris or simply because his purpose is gone, or both. That's the thing about this world, it is cruel and some people would prefer not to live in it.
Kathleen didn't want Henry-- to simply die. She wanted him to suffer. She wanted to see the pain in his eyes before he died. And maybe even give him one of her legendary lectures.
The last episode showed that Kathleen and Perry were really scared when they saw that moving sinkhole while trying to find Henry and Sam. It’s not random. It’s also mentioned this episode that FEDRA drove all the infected underground. So to me when the truck fell into the sinkhole. It just shows that Perry was right to be concerned about the infected in the underground while Kathleen was hyper focused on getting revenge on Henry and Sam and pushed the real priorities to the side. I think plenty of context was provided but I see your confusion 🤪
I only made it a few hours into the video game so I know nothing of the lore and am speaking purely from watching this show and what’s shown.
You obviously just been staring at the screen with this series with no comprehension if you think its all random
When Henry said he was a collaborator,he meant he worked for FEDRA against the rebels and gave FEDRA information on people in exchange for cancer medicine for Sam. It paints a very gray area showing that not every situation is good or bad / black or white. It really all depends on how desperate a person is and what they will do for family or for survival. Especially in a post apocalyptic environment where resources are scarce and the rule of law is chaos. BTW Alesia like always I enjoyed your reaction video👍
Collaborators work with Federa in this case. It's like if your friend betrayed you to the bully. You know the Bully is evil from your point of view, but your friend is supposed to have your back, but betrays you to the bully anyway. You hate the friend more because you expected more from them.
The "convenient" moment when the infected swarm the hunters was in the game while Joel was sniping. Coming up from the ground is made believable because of the truck explosion which I'm sure melted/burned into basement or underground tunnels where the infected were forced by FEDRA few years earlier. Henry ended his life mainly because he lost his purpose - protecting in the one person that mattered. Same the way Bill with Frank, and this act of loss of purpose will be "on the mind" later in the story. First turn to look at Joel from Henry was like total shock with "What if I've done", but second turn is realizing there is nothing to live for anymore.
Oh my, the lack of common sense and empathy from this channel lol
The point of a GOOD show is that characters portray that people are imperfect. It's wild that you're upset that people made decisions that are based on very human emotions. Vengeance is a thing. Despair is a thing. You said you're mad at Henry for killing himself when he had just killed his brother, his sole purpose for trying to live. Also, Ellie legitimately believed she could heal Sam because she has been told she was the cure to the infection, otherwise there would be no way she would fall asleep with an infected in the room and also probably wouldve told the adults. Her believing that dripping blood on him is also a very naive thing that a preteen aged girl who never lived in a world of technology would think. Hence why the "I'm sorry" she left on his grave is more poignant. Your reaction lacks introspection and I hope this passage helps you recognize how film/tv has to be nuanced to make for a good story. Otherwise we might as well rewatch Walking Dead and save our time.
Even though it's shock, it's still creepy how she smiled when Henry shot himself.
@@mikecheeriot2650 Yeah, it was a very sociopathic response lacking any form of empathy for his situation. Very strange reaction, but whatever.
13:46 The incredible hulk infected is known as a Bloater🧐😵💫😵Freaking terrifying in the game!
Great reaction thanks so much Alesia🙂Couldn't agree more about Kathleen standing there waiting to get killed. To make it more believable they should have stepped up that whole getting attacked from behind.
It is painful to listen to your conclusions. Based on ignorance and not paying attention. Nothing is coincidence as you see it. Everything was prepared and logically built and implemented. The series seems too complicated for you, although everything has been clearly shown and explained how everything works in this world since episode one. This applies to fungi, humans and Ellie's imunity. You have absolutely no knowledge of people and are definitely too young in your head to understand this show and characters.
A little tip for you. Maybe you should play out scenes before you make your strange statements. I especially mean the spot where Ellie shows her arm to Sam. This is so stupid.
I honestly have no idea why you watch a show that obviously overwhelms you so much.
Btw. Of course, Ellie doesn't tell Joel about Sam's infection. His first thought would be to shoot him. At least it's her fear. She still remembers how he reacted to her. Ellie is simply hoping that her blood will heal Sam. She is 14 years old and not a professor. She was only told that she is immune and can bring the cure, but not how. She acts according to her age and wants to save her friend, who otherwise cannot be saved. She is convinced at that moment she can help him, just out of the hope.
And Ellie didn't fall asleep because she was confident, but because she just got tired. You don't know anything like that?
savage
kathleen isn't even in the game so keeping her alive and having her chase them across the country would make the show diverge wildly from the game
t's not inconsistent that Ellie and Sam didn't act rationally in this situation, they're still children.
Why Henry point Joel with gun?? simple, its call shock, you cant demmand a logical action when someone is in shock.
Kathleen is what would happen if a kindergarten teacher became in charge of a revolution.
The sinkhole was foreshadowed in the last episode. Not totally out of nowhere.
Holy crap you have no clue at all about this entire episode.
I know I got so annoyed at the ignorance 😒
yeah her reaction actually makes me kind of angry that people can miss so many beats
@@cantgetriight those are the people saying it's trash.. people that miss almost every important story beat. God I love humanity...
This is such a strange reaction. I don't think she really pays attention to what she's actually watching. Some people just don't get it. Calling Henry and Sam stupid is something someone who's out of touch with the gravity of the situation. Gave her a thumbs down.
it was early because of something called ;The Super Bowl, ....you can google that
what you said at 11:12 made no sense whatsoever lol
They literally explained what happened.
How did you not know about Ellies blood?
reaction is a little too fake in some parts, positive criticize please don't get offended, people who watch reaction channels watch other reaction channels too so it's kinda obvious who is faking it, hope you have a good day
Peacemaker season 1 would be right up your alley.
The infected were NOT RANDOM.
You completely lost the plot here on this entire episode, including the final moments of Sam and Ellie.
Not sure what show you’re watching.
no one forces you to watch their channel.
@@kiro__tv she needs the feedback. Her take was wrong on so many levels.
@@jpgames1363 and you were never wrong? or are you a perfect being?
@@kiro__tv ARE YOU NEVER NOT AN AZZOLE ??
I just noticed the Dali decoration 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I've only just found your channel a few ago and I'm really enjoying your reactions. If you are looking for a show to watch after this; I think you would enjoy The Expanse. It's a fantastic sci-fi series, or Band of Brothers is a great miniseries made by Steven Spielberg, and Tom Hanks. Stay Awesome Gurl, can't wait for more
A great show to react to is Community. Just great writing.
I call the convenient timing "Infected Ex Machina" 😉
Look up the word Collaborator
You saw the ground moving earlier. That truck crashing into that building gave them the alarm bell to rise. I'm a little disappointed in you. It's only a TV show, suspend your realism for a second. Like they're really infected.
The Expanse next
Another great reaction!
But never be surprised when a child-- behaves like a child. Ellie believes her blood may be the cure. So she decided to play amateur doctor. She didn't tell the adults because she was afraid that they'd simply kill Sam before she had a chance to conduct her experiment.
GREAT REACTION///// ARE YOU HIGH??
Kathleen was a weird choice IMO. she was made for the show. I didnt like her and dont think she brought much. but oh well. on we go. Ellie is just a child. She didnt want to lose Sam and Henry. if she had told Joel he would either have killed Sam or taken Ellie and run away with her again. She really wanted to believe her blood was the cure. the last remnant of innocence was taken from her when she realized that was not how it worked.
Kathleen was an ancillary character by definition, she wasn't meant to be a main character and wasn't written that way. She was there to add depth to and inform your opinion of Henry. To choose a side when it's revealed he gave up her brother. It was just another mini moral dilemma in a show all about morally grey dilemmas. Over 2 episodes, she had like 13 minutes of screen time in 1 hour and 45 minutes. You could argue they use that 13 minutes for more Henry and Sam moments and I wouldn't disagree but it might not make this version of their story any better.
