just a note: *a bagel is a dense bread ring that can be covered many different toppings like sesame seeds or salt, an "everything bagel" has ALL the toppings on it. it was a pun. **in order to verse jump you simply had to do something that was weird/random/statistically improbable. when evelyn starts to verse jump around desperately later in the movie, she doesn't know where her actions will land for her. she was just hoping to land somewhere that might be useful. ***the bagel is like a black hole, so dense that gravity would pull everything apart and never escape. in other words, joy was trying to commit suicide to stop being everywhere all at once.

But this scene mikasa did kill the mask guy... Thats why in the real story she kill Eren... Damn this Masterpiece foreshadowing

I ignored this movie for so long...when I finally saw it I was amazed!!! It is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Funny, sad, spectacular, disturbing...Believe it or not, by today's standards this was a relatively low budget movie, filmed in just over a month, and edited by 5 people who learned to do it using RUclips videos. It just makes even that much more amazing. But let's be clear...wonderful though the effects are, it is the acting and script that are most impressive. And there are three languages (spoken): English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. The last two are written the same but pronounced differently. Great reaction...but it PAINED me when you asked "what's a bagel?" Only one of the best bread products ever! (actually first boiled, then baked). Derived from Poland, I think, but quintessentially Eastern European Jewish. Best ones I have had are in NYC.

The Bagel is a representation for Nihilism. A philosophy that suggests if the universe is indeed infinite, then nothing we do or anything that happens matters, because every event that occurs is just a statistical inevitability. This is somewhat demonstrated the both "everything" and "nothing" are really the same, since they are both absolutes. And as such, they can both be represented by zero, which is also the shape of a bagel. Putting everything into the bagel is like taking everything you can think of and tossing it into this void of meaninglessness. It's like sending something into a black hole. Jobu Tupaki is tortured because she experiences every possibility from every universe all at the same time. She's looking for the one version of Evelyn that is capable of experiencing the same thing, in hopes that she might find a way to end her suffering. In the scene where they are rocks, Joy says "I was hoping you would see something that I didn't; that there might be another way." It turns out that it's Waymond who has a different way - he fights with kindness; with happiness, and perseverance. He helps Evelyn to understand that she can use her great knowledge and power for good instead of evil. And that by doing so, she's actually sending that healing in waves through space-time, to every version in every universe. She discovers that sometimes the best way to heal people, including herself, is to just let people be who they are and help them to have what they want, even if it's something that you don't understand, like a universe where everyone has hotdogs for fingers. By learning this, she decides to give Joy what she wanted and needed, acceptance, understanding, and love. And she gives herself permission to "let go" of trying to control everything. When Joy realizes this, she starts to disappear into the bagel of nothingness. But at the last minute, she realizes that she DOES matter. And if "nothing matters" then that has to mean that EVERYTHING matters, including this timeline, this world, and the the love that she now feels. She reaches back just enough for Evelyn to grab hold and pull her out. In that moment, the universes align, the timelines are healed, and just like that, the war is over. In the end, we see Evelyn still having to deal with the realities of this world, but she is able to handle it with grace and peace. Even though she still connected to the whole, she now knows how to be fully in the present.

Everything Everywhere All At Once gets better each time I watch it. At least ten times. I could barely handle it the first time. Had to take breaks. It took two days to watch it. I initially gave it a score of 6 but I loved the film score so I went to see it in a big movie theater - where the whole movie clicked and it blew me out of my chair.

This was the saddest movie I watched.
