The one that really increased my efficiency and workflow isn't even a keyboard shortcut per se. If you have a wheel on your mouse that can be pressed in, pressing it will display the tool menu right where your cursor is, allowing you to quickly change the tool you're using. Huge game changer for me!!
Love this!! Great video. S1 has so many shortcuts nice to have someone pointing them out for us. "Alt/Option+Z" is "Zoom Full", and appears to be the same functionality as the Macro "Zoom Restore" Plus "Alt/Option+W" is the "Zoom Undo" command, super helpful too, and nice to toggle between the current Zoom and whatever you had previously. (I believe that "Zoom Restore" Macro was created before they added the "Zoom Full" shortcut.) I never use the Split tool anymore, just double-click with the Range tool to get the splits. Love the scroll/zooming options. Thanks for all you do for the community!
I have my "Z" key assigned to ZOOM TOGGLE - which toggles two zoom states. So if you have bars 1,2,3,4 etc showing and then you go into a track as you did and then press "Z" it goes back to that bars 1,2,3,4 etc view - pressing "Z" again takes you back to the close in view. Press "Z" again back out to the bars 1,2,3,4 view - If you now condense that view so that only bars 1 and 9 show, then press "Z" it takes you back to the close in view. "Z" again goes back to bars 1 and 9. Zoom toggle is very useful if you make a couple of changes at the micro level and hit play to audition your changes - unfortunately you are too far zoomed in to see where or what is playing. I have zoom overview assigned to another key eg SHIFT "Z"
Zoom overview F T W! Gregor will definitely approve of this message. Maximum human energy efficiency is paramount. I would not want to see Gregor "end you".
Shift Scroll doesn’t work with logitech mouse on OSX since forever! I have to uninstall the logitech software to make it work. But thats not a solution. In all other DAWs it works perfect.
4:29 Talking about that, when will we get the possibility to freeze the track height for the tracks we want :D ? It could be great for keeping folder track at a minimum size for example.
My biggest timesaver: keypad minus = undo. It's right next to the '*' key ... so I hit '*' to record, space to stop, and if it was lousy I hit the '-' to undo. Repeat ...
Which mouse do you use to get smooth scrolling ? Apple Mouse ? or do you just use the trackpad ? I also have the trackpad but I find it quite tedious for the finger when moving objects
Hey i am very new to Studio One. So l use SoundID to flatten my headphones frequency’s, Can you use SoundID in studio one? is there a master channel to insert sound id while mixing? thank you!
Very nice! I've already been using ALL of those, but that's because I'm a GEEK, and that's one of the first things I look for and edit/create on any piece of software I use a lot. I think S1 came with Ctrl+Z as the overview shortcut, but I'm going to change that to just Z, since I use it so-o-o much. I've got so many shortcuts programed in now, I have to look them up sometimes, 'cause I can't remember them all. 🤔 What's the point of that?!!

I like using “Shift+W” to zoom horizontally and “Shift+E” to zoom vertically.
Nice, I didn't know that one 👍

Super handy stuff. So many vids about mixing and electronica, but how about a video about >>efficient audio tracking workflow
I use K to split the track at where the cursor is, I use the four arrow keys on my keyboard to do horizontal or vertical zooming.
thank you joe
Thanks again Joe! Very helpful!
I have the left and right pointers assign to shift the timeline 1 bar in their relative directions

I use this Trackball for smooth zooming and you can assign shortcuts to it ruclips.net/video/PVX91onQH0w/видео.html
