I was very impressed beyond words just the feeling that that gave was as intoxicating as me playing the game all over again so thank you that game has a special place in me and now so does that video🩸🩸
THIS! Game is truly ahead of its time!!! Good lord this game lore masterpiece and music! And characters, And I liked how you did well detailed work on pictures of whom they take their places!
I have been a huge Legacy of Kain fan since the late 90s. To me, Legacy of Kain is one of the greatest video game franchises regardless of what sales and critics say. It is in my opinion the greatest Vampire fiction ever told. This was due to the fantastic writing first done by Dennis Dyak and then Amy Henning who wrote the narration and script in the sequels. Never has there been a video game franchise that really made me question the philosophies of life, free will, good and evil, and reality like the Legacy of Kain Franchise did. And this Franchise along with the World of Darkness has inspired me to write my own Vampire Horror novel. Truly was a great franchise and it's sad that several people who worked on those games are no longer among the living. Their work and talent will never be forgotten. It's also sad that the games never got a sequel to Defiance and a conclusion to the story. But as Kain said at the end of Defiance. The first bitter taste of that terrible illusion. Hope. There's always hope that a sequel will come out someday. If a sequel never comes. At least I imaged sequels after Defiance and a conclusion to the story years ago that gave me the comfort of how I imagined the story ended. Even though this is the go-to channel on all things Vampire the Masquerade and the World of Darkness. I can't help but acknowledge the impact Legacy of Kain had on me. As for Vampire and World of Darkness, it will always have a special place in my heart. It inspired me to write horror and fantasy as the Legacy of Kain franchise did. It's just The newer versions of Vampire and World of Darkness are too romanticized for my taste compared to what they were in the 90s and early 2000s. And a lot of newer generations of fans take it way too seriously and are way too critical and condescending which just turned me off of the games entirely. But I had good memories of both franchises.
Hell yeah dude outstanding it actually gave me cold chills just remembering you described it just like I was actually sitting there playing it so thank you I’m actually a little bit choked up after listening to that I’ve actually got happy tears🩸🩸
I had no idea you had a essay devoted to Legacy of Kain. I shouldn’t be surprised, but what a treat this is. Easily my favorite lore keeper shares his wisdom in one of my favorite games. Thank you Primogen. This is an awesome find.
Glad to see you back. I had been thinking about you and hoping you were OK or at least getting better. Thanks for the video. Was this the result of a play through?
Little known fact that if Silicon Knights kept the rights to Blood Omen then it would have taken the series in a much different direction or rather look at Deadhaus Sonata for what "Blood Omen 2" would have been. Also even the original Soul Reaver game was going to turn out much differently where Raziel was originally meant to kill all of his brothren including Turel and Kain and open the Silence Cathedral pipes to kill all the remaining vampires in Nosgoth only to discover later that the Elder God pretty much duped him so Raziel sets off to the Chronoplast to Nosgoth's past to undue it all and Amy Hennig once said that the series would have went in a similar path as the sequels but in a different fashion.
Wanted to know the backstory to play Soul Reaver but i wasnt enjoying playing Blood Omen so thanks for telling it to me in a good way.

This is the game series that made me love vampires and which eventually lead me to this channel
This is the only Kain I'll acknowledge.
This series deserved an ending. It's such a mind-bending ride with so many twists and iconic characters. A masterpiece of storytelling.
such and amazing game. Very excited for this video
Now do a video for soul reaver and soul reaver 2 and defiance
nice
love this series, a classic!
but a played much more Soulreaver (first one) than any other
Only thing you got wrong was Bain and Dejoule were with Anacroth the guardian of states not Lady Azimuth.
That's right, Azimuth is the dimension Guardian. Dejoule was the Energy Guardian.
Wonderful!!!.
I love this series.

Great video, just started this game now on the steam deck
