Thanks for the video, I was having a hard time getting a round and smooth tone without the pic attack and bite, I finally found the “bass eq” and it put all the low end back into my amp and the wet dry option made the tri fuzz mix awesome! Keep rocking brother
Thanks brother! This can be used for anything, I will be releasing a song in the near future which I did some keys and patched it though the HR. This is a great studio and live tool, I am happy with it. Rock on! ;)
I have had a psychic prediction from the very near future Francis LOL I predict that the versatility of this unit, as a tool for both live and studio work, is soon going to take on a whole new level of depth and fun! If you had said to almost any of us 40 years ago that one day we'd have all out favourite amps, both Bass and Guitar, and Acoustic, and all our favourite Cabs, and all our favourite effects, in a unit weighing as much as a small rack mounted delay and including a wah-style pedal that does more than just wah??? We'd have suggested they calm down, seek some therapy, or stop taking all those pills LOL. Hoverboards here we come!
Cool, but limited bass selections. Why I kind of retired the Spark, Ampeg, and Rumble for recording and went with the AmpliTube plug in. Can run 3 different amps off one signal and get all crazy with it! They really nail it when it comes to all the Ampegs and Fender Bass amps! (they have Acoustic etc. too) I usually run an SVT, Portaflex, and a Bassman 300 at the same time and add various pedals to a couple of them for wet/dry.
That is cool boomer, now a day there are lots of options, you gotta run with the one that works best for you. just an fyi the blue line bass is a model of the ampeg svt, and the bassman is in the HR unit also. in this unit you can run up to 4 amps at the same time with 4 cabs. I could show you if you are curious. Rock on brother!
@@ThePaddedPedalroom Ah cool so it was a quick demo. Try a Bassman dry for smooth lowness and an SVT with an octave, chorus, and an envelope ...weeeeeeeeeeee! LOL
Thanks for the cool review Francis! 👍 The pedal is a beast considering the size and the price point! I'd like to see the classic stereo combination for a bass rig with clean amp with loads of low end and dirty amp with more highs and mids to cut through if possible! Cheers 🍻
Hi, great vid, thanks for sharing. I like the sound of Celestion bn15-300x. It is specially made for headrush, or I can by the normal one on their site?
It is an IR it is not specific to Headrush, you can use it with any unit, here is the Celestion link www.celestionplus.com/products/bass-responses-by-speaker/
Big question: does this have PC software (interface) to control settings or do you have to use the onboard controls. I haven’t seen any videos about software.
There is no computer software, it is all in the HR. With this touch screen it is so easy to control that the need for a computer software is not necessary. This unit can be used as an interface so if you record with it, you do not need to use an additional interface.
It is for both, if you check on my channel did make a few rigs for guitar as well as bass one. I will be making some more in the near future. feel free to ask questions if you need to.
Thanks for the test "in the mix" so important.
My Pleasure, I am preparing to do another batch of mx5 vids, keep an eye out for them. Thanks! ;)
Wow ... wow ... this is really cool and interesting !!!

i need to get one of these ~!
They are pretty cool! a very good studio tool as well as live! ;)
I like Francis 🤟
Grazzi Fabio! ;)
nice video i did learn some, just wish the ISO on the pedal cam was a bit lower, it's kinda hard to see a lot of the information
Thanks for your feedback. I am always trying to improve the equipment and the production quality. I am glad you were able to learn some. ;)
blue line an acoustic brand solid state amp 'cause the blue line logo on it ?
Hi Epi, the blue line bass in the HR MX5 is actually a model of an Ampeg SVT 300watt.
Is this for guitar and bass? Or only for bass?
It is for both, if you check on my channel did make a few rigs for guitar as well as bass one. I will be making some more in the near future. feel free to ask questions if you need to.
