Oh gosh! It me! Thanks a lot for the thorough tutorial and demo, mate! Much appreciated! 🍻 The pedal sounds great as well. I am still thinking between the MX5 and the HX stomp, but I believe the Headrush will win in the end. Just looks like more bang for the buck.
Your Welcome for the demo, and I sure which ever you choose will be fine, you can get great sounds out of both, for me I prefer the workflow and the screen of the mx5 but they are both great products. Keep on Rocking! ;)
I got a very nice Steve Harris type tone with my P Bass with Flats by using the Trace Elliot for the low and mid and the scooped SVT for the brightness. 1 x 15 cab for the Trace, 8 x 10 for the ampeg. Sounds great on any bass really.
Great video Francis. Bass players get a short-shift from most of the RUclips "crowd" LOL!! Which is perhaps not all that surprising, since Bass-Players embraced solid-state amps over a generation ago, and the sim world of amps and cabs seems to suit bass better that guitar for some reason (maybe that's just me?). I guess the D.I. method of running a bass straight out of a head without a cab also makes the transition to simulated rigs an easier step. We bass players are always versatile!! (Why do I keep remembering Bass-Player jokes?? I AM a bass player, this is so unfair!!! I've been "programmed" by the six-stringers - AAAarghhhhhhh!) We apologise for any interference, or distress. Normal service has now been restored.... Great video Francis, love the rig, and it sounds really good in the mix... mix... mi.... Beep!
Great video! I'm trying to do something similar with the headdrush prime, but also run a channel for the vocal processor. Any insight on how to "fake" a dual amp bass sound using only the limited amount of pedal spaces due to running the vocal with it? Maybe something with assigning the "A" expression pedal? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks. I also have the prime and even thought you are limited to 7 for guitar and 7 for vocal you can still do a dual amp. just select an amp hit the x2 you can select different heads, then in another slot you cans select an IR hit the x2 and pick two separate IRs. your only limitation would be you can not do this with the amp clones unless you run a split rig, which means only a guitar rig and no vocal. I hope this helps, if you like I could do a price video making this type of rig.
@ThePaddedPedalroom Oh man that great!!! Please let me know if you post a video, it would be super helpful!! Until then. I'll play around with the x2 as your recommended. Thanks again!
Hi there, you have done it again, great demo, cool presentation. I have a question, can you recommend an Rig bundle for classic hard rock sounds. Does Celestion or someone else sell a bundle like that? You/re great! Thank you again.
Hi Angel, are you looking for Impuse responses for Hard rock, I am sure if you look at the celestion IR site you will find something suitable if not check out www.choptones.com/collections/headrush-patches they got some cool stuff there.
Great video my friend! Hope you are doing well!
Thanks! You too!
Very interesting video my friend!
Thank you Andrea! ;)
Nice bro! Split rig is the way to go for bass! Cuts through the mix and brings the thunder! 😊👍

No offense, but I could hear more of your strings plucking than the amplified sound. I can't really tell what kind of tone you got here
Awful sound.
