Had a goal of getting to the top 100 last season in Rumble. Got there but It was a bit of a grind. I stopped after that so the rank fell off. Mad respect to him for putting in the hours and continuing to put in the time to get to number 1. For myself, gun skill is important but also understanding spawn locations is a definite key
If this video showcases anything at all it's that gun skill has literally no importance whatsoever. Just use a broken special weapon with little to no counter play, proxy camp and patrol a high probability spawn area of whatever map you're playing, and that's it. The only skill on display here is perseverance, because to use that broken loadout and not get bored to death after 30 minutes takes some serious mental aptitude. Either that or genuine illness.
This was really interesting to listen to! Regarding controller sensitivity, I use 9 with a 0.5 ADS modifier, which actually makes my ADS sensitivity fairly similar to Lego’s 5
Thank you to Legoleflash and Pattycakes both for this. I'm new to PVP, and it shows. Just listening to a top tier player's perspective is helpful for beginners. Lego was very generous with his time and shared his techniques. Very informative!
These videos of interviewing upper tier players is awesome. Would be awesome to see more console PvPer interviews (I feel like there aren't that many or maybe I'm just not aware of who might be a console player as much as I think I am). Either way, great watch!
As soon as Legoleflash started talking about his strats and mentioned Cartesian Coordinate I _knew_ I had played in his lobbies during that time of perpetual invis :) (probably one of the reasons I still main Antaeus Wards)
My god this looks like the most boring way you could ever play the game. I couldn't imagine playing even 3 games with this setup and style, let alone every game 30-50 times a day... Says a lot about the state of the crucible when someone with self proclaimed "bad aim", who only uses broken special weapons and never touches a primary can get to #1 rumble player. Really not a good look for the game at all.
I really wish you could Golden Tricorne using ability kill > weapon kill rather than having to do the order of weapon kill > ability kill for the 50%. Makes it feel very clunky for me.
So, back in d1, precharge I to the ads helped consolidate your bolts, basically making stability null. Not sure if they changed that into d2, but 100% how it used to be in d1
I have a feeling that heating up is gonna be a good perk to look for on fusions now that range finder is nerfed, I know heating up doesn't give you zoom but it will allow you to keep that stickiness at longer ranges after your 1st kill so something like Successful Warm-up might be the play to pair with it in my opinion.
Regarding glaives, I think the shield energy should drain over time when you’re not using it, at a slower rate than it does when you’re guarding. The fact that they give an effect which doesn’t expire unless used and is as strong or better than a lot of perks which only last like 5 seconds is part of their issue I think.
The issue is the 75% damage resist. It should be like 20% at most. Considering most pvp damage buffs fall under the 12-15% mark or the 33% kill clip and swash type perks at max stacks. At 75% nothing is killing you.
The other hard part with sensitivity is stick tension. I play on a Xbox elite controller which means I can have a stiffer thumb stick tension than a standard controller and so the fact that I run on turn sensitivity and .8 Ads doesn’t mean it will translate to my friend who has a standard controller, and that variable only increases when you bring up the thumb stick hight.
Thank you so much for asking about the Seasonal fusion! I've been using it with my hunter, and it is a fun build, but I felt like sometimes I could be doing better. The main reason I use it is bc of the Jolting rounds and pairing that with some seasonal mods and arc hunter. Love watching Lego, this was such a great and informative video! Thanks so much Patty!
The point about ease of use regarding ttk is why I enjoy scout rifles in PvP, especially Rapid Fires like the Aisha's Embrace I got with Adagio - to paraphrase Coolguy in his vid talking about the Contingency Plan "I'm going to hit my ttk; are you?" and often, they do not. I have no range concerns using a scout, and if I get another damage buff alongside Adagio it just deletes people, it's silly, and also incredibly satisfying getting a 3 hit kill.
I'm still new to Crucible (I say with about 100+ hours into it and it only lmao) but while I'm watching this I will drop a few of my tips I've found that are actually increasing my k/d (no bs) 1) Play with at least one friend during most of your matches. Comraderie makes the experience more pleasant. 2) If you start getting tilted, remind yourself it's just a game and it's silly to be upset. Furthermore, 3) If you're performing poorly, don't be afraid to change up your weapons. There will be some matches I do excellent with Duality and others where it's my death sentence. I usually will switch to Stars In Shadow or just start experimenting with my choice in loadout in a general sense. 4) Use cover. Slide to cover or dodge to it or set up shields/ wells. I need to work on sliding more effectively. 5) Don't get greedy and go for a kill you know you can't get. Trust me, your intuition will tell you "Yes! He's red bar and I can probably one shot headshot him", but I guarantee most of the time you will not have the aim you think you do. 6) If you're using a new weapon, don't feel discouraged if you end a match with negative k/d or a 1.0 k/d. It's just a part of the process and you will improve as long as you're cycling weapons, using good tactics, practicing your aim, and not getting tilted. The game is supposed to be fun. If you aren't having fun... either you're doing something wrong or you're getting upset like I told you not to!
Another tip: If you're trying to use a sniper or a bow, don't let your pride get in the way of you using a backup gun to get kills with. If I miss a shot with a bow I usually don't force myself to get a kill with it anyway. Instead I will use something like an SMG, hand cannon, or auto rifle to pad my performance so that at the very least I'm still contributing to my team's odds of winning. A good example, tonight I clutched out a game of Clash after performing abysmally with my Duality + Rose loadout. I switched to Stars In Shadow and The Huckleberry, ended the game with 29 eliminations and our team won the game by 9 points. Don't let your pride get in the way of your performance, take pride IN your performance.
I find it sad that at the very top "not having to think and aim" is the optimal playstyle in D2. I hope someone important enough at bungie watches this and pays the drawing board a proper visit.
Haha the 800 hours I’ve spent aim training outside Destiny didn’t love that concept either, but whether we love it or not that’s pretty much how the game works these days
Lego said the opposite. He ment, it's better for him to not think about getting the perfect ttk all the time, and rather think about the mental play and concentrate on his gamesense.
@@yoshi1951 @Yoshi @Yoshi "Anything that let's me, not think as much as possible and let's me think about the mind games and game sense, rather than my aim..". Directly quoted verbatim, here is a quote again I find sad to be associated with D2 top tier pvp.

I've played him . He's a cool dude just hated playing a fusion and a sniper lol . I'd be using a hc and he'd run away till he had ammo . He played a titan then xD .
the gameplay with the lubrae's ruin and something new was fun to see. I feel like PC doesn't get to use half the weapons in the game because of the overall speed mnk grants over controller.
For fusions just use the adaptives or high impacts. For adaptives, use timelines vertex or burden of guilt. For high impacts, glacioclasm, iota draconis, and the iron banner one are fantastic. Precisions are gonna suck after todays patch so i urge everyone to try the others
@@chrisbarnesbarnes8332 if youre on pc, that makes sense but statistically speaking, at least for console, after that nerf, adaptives and high impacts are better for consistency
I would try it if I could be bothered to craft another one. ATM I'm running it with enhanced incandescent and enhanced dynamic sway. Just love incandescent for the explosions and it can tag people which can lead to assists or make them less inclined to engage straight away 👍
Heartshadow gives more easily accessible invis function to the other 2 classes. In several GM’s I have used it to revive the other Guardians, it’s boss damage may not be as good as Lament though it is still decent. I really like it but if I played Hunter main it would be just an option.
Cool insight! I think that trinity system is also an underrated fusion (or people just don’t gambit…because gambit). But I do want to start testing decreasing my sensitivity and increasing range on my fusions to see how things go. Thanks for the info!
This is awesome. I just try to hit plat or higher ELO every season..... Trying to troll the shots from glaive users, is one thing myself and my team try to do all the time, Imho, I think they should do away with being able to use a shield with glaive in pvp, I don't know if it would be possible, but leave the 2 shot aspect, but like you even said, not that many people are using them, that much. My problem is I'm always trying to make myself more in line with ads speed adjustments and movement adjustment... And lining my elite 2.0 controls in conjunction with how I have my movement speeds set in d2, mostly for pvp, it does get frustrating sometimes 🤣 Thanks for the tips Lego 🤙
Me: oh man Pattycakes dropped a long vid with a great interview just in time because I wanted to step back in the crucible! (Watches the whole hour featuring absolute cracked builds and gameplay) Also me: yeah, maybe next season. 😂
Yea I remember like a year ago I was playing rumble a lot on ps4 and hit top 500. I had some games where I joined in the last few minutes and it was just so infuriating. like -50 elo where I only made like 5 elo on a 1st place.
Roughly 30 minutes in.. haven’t finished the video. I usually run a 7… But running 5 sensitivity does it affect you when trying to turn around fast enough to fight someone behind you?
Ngl I didn't really take anything away from this video other than the number 1 player likes using fusion rifles. Not trying to hate on others who did but I kinda thought they would go over strategy and other stuff.
Every single rumble map has broken AF spawns. The strategy is hold down the area with the stupid spawn trap and farm the 4 dogshit players faster than the one other decent player in the lobby.
My housemate bought me a couples plot a few years back, not realising it was a couples plot. So my puppy got to have her own plot of land and title. (I was fresh out of a break-up)
As someone who recently picked up Destiny 2 again on Playstation.. which guns should I go after? I would also love to run some Fusion action, but don't have Witch Queen, so unable to play Trials..
If you can do the duality dungeon the epicurean from that is good. Can get it with range finder and because it has barrel options you can get it to 100 recoil direction. Can get one shot kills from around 20m, and you can craft it (if you can get the red border drops lol) 👍
Great vid and accomplishment but I can’t help saying that these load outs and play styles are what many players find extremely frustrating to play against. Double GL, invis all the time with fusions, Glaives, witherhoard, bow swapping, linear fusions plus khepris wall hacks, etc. I guess this is just how the game is.
Learn how to use your movement and learn to fight in your guns effective range, also avoid playing overly short range cause you cant outplah the broken melee system the game has. Went from 0.8kd in forsaken to 1.7 nowadays, game is still shit tho pve is where its at.
Thanks so much for inviting me on to talk about that crazy journey! Was a blast getting to catch up and I hope everyone here enjoys the convo! 😄

No where near top 500 but I've been top 1000 which was my personal goal.
Wow he is soo good , that's incredible!!!! Great job Legoflashes!!!
So awesome! I played thousands of hours of D1 Rumble and ended up beating the #1 Rumble player 3x in a row (RealKrafty) I was so proud.
I've played him . He's a cool dude just hated playing a fusion and a sniper lol . I'd be using a hc and he'd run away till he had ammo . He played a titan then xD .
Oh man. You faced me during the double special days. 😅 I literally couldn’t play without ammo, that’s funny. Can’t really run that anymore.
@@Legoleflash all good man no hate 🤣 GG happy I'm not getting mapped anymore lol 😂 and congratulations 🎉
@@liuthegreat7510 Oh yeah! GGs! I didn't read it as such! :)
the gameplay with the lubrae's ruin and something new was fun to see.
My adept god roll plug one begs to differ. Its still maps people
@@chrisbarnesbarnes8332 if youre on pc, that makes sense but statistically speaking, at least for console, after that nerf, adaptives and high impacts are better for consistency
I am on control. I see no difference after the nerf.
That "realistic TTK" topic is exactly why Gutshot Straight is S tier on the Ammit AR2 to me.
And with the buff that's coming, it'll be REALLY good.
Crafted that to the enhanced version.
Thank you for not including the in game audio. If I had to listen to the vvvrrrrr everytime a fusion charged up I would be in an asylum.
Cool insight! I think that trinity system is also an underrated fusion (or people just don’t gambit…because gambit). But I do want to start testing decreasing my sensitivity and increasing range on my fusions to see how things go. Thanks for the info!
Trinary system is an insane fusion with a good roll, most people just dont know about that cause gambit haha
I know how Legos feels, I too struggle to holding my spot. I'll say being in the top 10 million I am truly marks as a legend.. 😂
This is awesome. I just try to hit plat or higher ELO every season.....
Trying to troll the shots from glaive users, is one thing myself and my team try to do all the time,
Imho, I think they should do away with being able to use a shield with glaive in pvp, I don't know if it would be possible, but leave the 2 shot aspect, but like you even said, not that many people are using them, that much. My problem is I'm always trying to make myself more in line with ads speed adjustments and movement adjustment... And lining my elite 2.0 controls in conjunction with how I have my movement speeds set in d2, mostly for pvp, it does get frustrating sometimes 🤣
Thanks for the tips Lego 🤙
Me: oh man Pattycakes dropped a long vid with a great interview just in time because I wanted to step back in the crucible! (Watches the whole hour featuring absolute cracked builds and gameplay)
Also me: yeah, maybe next season. 😂
Great video! What's the roll on CC fusion rifle? I'm same with sidearms🤣🤣Full auto every single one!!
... My Main Ingredient has around 7,000 crucible kills. This talk was really good, thanks Patty!
🤮
You could call your land Pattys Patio PVP Playground
What a great collaboration 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome player, awesome video, great interview, thanks
Yea I remember like a year ago I was playing rumble a lot on ps4 and hit top 500. I had some games where I joined in the last few minutes and it was just so infuriating. like -50 elo where I only made like 5 elo on a 1st place.
How the hell did I not know Glaive Skating was a thing? 🤯🤯 these clips just blew my mind
EDIT: it‘s already nerfed 😭
Good for Lego on becoming #1, sincerely. However, almost anyone using invis Hunter, fusion rifles, and glaives can easily climb the ranks.
“Lego how did you become the number one rumble player in world?”
Lego: “I destroyed everyone”
😂
I was in a round in crucible with legoleflash. He killed me so many times i can’t count 😂
I'm not really playing Rumble, tho I'm always looking for stuff that generally improves my PvP game.
What’s the thought on firmly planted on fusions?
Today I realized Fusions can kill from an absurd distance.
Roughly 30 minutes in.. haven’t finished the video. I usually run a 7… But running 5 sensitivity does it affect you when trying to turn around fast enough to fight someone behind you?
Very interesting insights….what is the fusion with the scope in the beginning?
If it’s one with a big scope that is the epicurean! 😄
So if you leave early it doesn’t count as a loss and effect your win loss ratios and elo?
my eternal fr4 from back in the day could kill at 43 meters consistency
Legoleflash is just built different 💪 homie I’d awesome!
3:08 WTF THAT SHOT
Ngl I didn't really take anything away from this video other than the number 1 player likes using fusion rifles. Not trying to hate on others who did but I kinda thought they would go over strategy and other stuff.
Every single rumble map has broken AF spawns. The strategy is hold down the area with the stupid spawn trap and farm the 4 dogshit players faster than the one other decent player in the lobby.
@@JakeFish5058 lmao
My housemate bought me a couples plot a few years back, not realising it was a couples plot. So my puppy got to have her own plot of land and title. (I was fresh out of a break-up)
so, what do you do if you face cheaters. or people target you specifically with cheats when you play to not let you rank up?
This was really cool to listen to I learned some things too
I wonder how @Legoleflash load out has changed since since season 17
Not surprised. An invis hunter with a fusion rifle 😒
Damn he's that good with Farewell? I literally cannot make lightweight sidearms work.
Where is that Realistic TTK spreadsheet he spoke of?
Pattyvile! Once the village is built you’ll see a hoppin hunter with 5T0MP-335 lol
If Cammy becomes a lord next to your land you can call it Cake Nation
As someone who recently picked up Destiny 2 again on Playstation.. which guns should I go after? I would also love to run some Fusion action, but don't have Witch Queen, so unable to play Trials..
If you can do the duality dungeon the epicurean from that is good. Can get it with range finder and because it has barrel options you can get it to 100 recoil direction. Can get one shot kills from around 20m, and you can craft it (if you can get the red border drops lol) 👍
Also, the snori world drop is the same as it can roll with 100 recoil, but no range finder unfortunately.
Easy one is just to buy Null Composure from the monument to lost lights (next to the vaults in the tower)
I lowered my sensitivity and it’s made a big improvement
How are his fusion shots so sticky? Is that mnk? On controller it does not feel like that at least for me
Great vid and accomplishment but I can’t help saying that these load outs and play styles are what many players find extremely frustrating to play against. Double GL, invis all the time with fusions, Glaives, witherhoard, bow swapping, linear fusions plus khepris wall hacks, etc.
I guess this is just how the game is.
Play all the time and have a ton of natural talent. Those are the best ways to be good at the game.
He's using a fusion don't be too hard on yourself
Learn how to use your movement and learn to fight in your guns effective range, also avoid playing overly short range cause you cant outplah the broken melee system the game has.
Went from 0.8kd in forsaken to 1.7 nowadays, game is still shit tho pve is where its at.
