Are you sure Legion Gen 7 is being cleared already? Where I am in Europe they are clearing Gen 6 right now, that's the Legions from 2021. There are some very nice discounts right now on Legions Gen 6.
I am pretty sure Gen 7 will be around at least to the end of the year, if not Feb-March 2024, when they will be cleared with discounts.
Hard to say for certain. I’m seeing hefty discounts from time to time.
you can overclock the 6900hx to match a Dell XPS 9720 12900hk performance. Basically get 27-28 000score on passmark. Not as good as the 12800hx but at least silent

Hello, Does the fact that this model does not support Thunderbolt 4 mean that it is not possible to connect more than one external display?
No, it can connect to externaj monitor by USC C as normal. On AMD ver. will have USB4 instead of TB4.

Brother i am planning to get legion 7i 2022 12800HX 3070TI but still waitin for price drop its like crazt expensive in my country but aure to get legion 7i 12800hx 3070ti. Everyone on yoitube have revoewed 3080ti 12900hx and even if anyone haa unboxed legion 7i 12800hx just has shown a slight look. No performance chek no gamong test....etc etxc plz can uoi make so many vaming videos and every performance tests in legion 7i 12800Hx 3070ti plz plz🍀
Hey brother, I won’t have a chance to do the full review of the 7i/3080 that I wanted too. It’s physically identical to the 7. As for performance, I saw like 15-20% better frames than the top spec 7. I didn’t get my hands on the 3070Ti model and probably never will. Lenovo are moving on to the Gen 8/4000 series laptops. I would not expect a big sale on the 3070 model. I think supply is limited.
Does the lid stil leaves gap if its in good posotion?

Do you have problems with the amd gpu drivers like black screens and so on? Is the performance enough for gaming without dlss?
I didn’t have that issue. And yeah, no DLSS
It's a pretty common issue with the amd models
I've tried 5 different driver version, some from almost before the 6850m xt was launched. It seems to happen when you switch from hybrid mode for the first time, a fix that seems to work is if you Uninstall your gpu drivers using ddu, and don't switch modes. It is dumb that they haven't fixed this problem yet, or the 140w kneecap in place, but they basically told everyone to cope harder. Support even told someone to just go to reddit 💀. I've been experimenting with disabling the igpu from device manager, it seems to work fine now, but I'm not sure if it was because of the latest update or not. Message me if you have any problems!

It’s relatively heavy. So it depends on your preferences.

The new gen 8 has really garbage build quality! It really looks like they moved towards ASUS ROG crap quality, still better than those but I just don't want it!! Gen7 all the way even if its less powerful
I’m withholding judgment until I get one in for review. But definitely the features took a backwards step - and that bites. Seems Lenovo will release a Legion 9 with those features and it’ll be 18” with a higher price tag. But I wouldn’t be shocked if they bring them back to the 7 for the Gen 9 next year. Fans aren’t happy. As it stands, Legion 7 Gen 7 is the ultimate Legion yet.

I'm still waiting for the legion slim7 gen8 with the Ryzen 9 7845hx, but if it will have the same tendency of downgrading quality, i will stick to to current slim7 AMD, it's 1500euro here from Lenovo itself with a 10% Coupon. From what happened to the legion 7, there's a big probability that the slim will have the same cheap plastic touchpad and frame. And that's a big no for me/us. Especially that i currently use an m1max.

@PKperformance The biggest problems with these new 16 core cpu's, are the battery life. People have reported less than 3 hours doing normal tasks. 6900hx series only having 8 cores has let me reach nearly 11 hours!
@@TechAdventure1 I'm guessing another reason for gen 8 being trash is because of their release schedule. Most of their 7 models release near the end of the current cpu and gpu generation. Like how the 3080-ti came out, and the 4000 series is already out, making them have to put heavy discounts on their current models or else they won't sell. So next year, it should be much better, and maybe with a 9 model. Or maybe they just wanted to make the Legion 7 gen 7 so great because it sounds nice, "Legion 7 gen 7", it's quite satisfying to say.
