      I think it's more that someone messed up the color balance in editing really badly you can see the drum set and conductor's face turn red as well

    I got to play in a backing band for James about 20ish years ago, As a brass player (trumpet, Trombone, Tuba variants) the pleasure watching him go thru his warmup routine, prior to a performance, If you thought that run was fast, you aint seen nothing, and it was always so clean you could make out every note. George you did a fabulous job doing the notation, but to sit back and close your eyes while you listen is just magic

    Ive met James,
    he told me a story about when he played with a punk band, they covered the end of the trumpet with duck tape to put a microphone on it.
    i recall that his nose and ears were bleeding, everyone thought it was hardcore. he is so talented that he can fit in with a punk band while his ears are bleeding.
    its safe to say that he never played with a punk band again.

    As a (former) trumpet player I can tell you it is VERY hard to hit those LOW notes when you are coming off those very high notes. Getting your embouchure to relax fast enough to get down into the lower register is hard to do.
