For real. Although I think there are some bands that don't have many views or kind of visibility, but are very popular among the niches of a specific genre. The best example is Satyr.. they have 20k on monthly spoty but they tour in good venues and are very appreaciated, even playing at Audiotree

I love these pro mixed and produced jam videos. Its great to watch when wanting something aside the album or live concert version. Mastodon has also made videos like this.

That's a great point. Tool and Pantera did that well too - helped of course by the fact that each of those bands has 1 guitarist.
They know how to use bass frequencies from the actual bass unlike most metal acts nowadays.

seriously! wtf?! does this drummer know any beat? because he just plays like there are only fills, real monster, he probably played more fills in this track than dave lombardo in his whole career, amazing >
umcHugo Despite playing fills, he keeps the beat and sticks to the couple grooves that this song is made up of. There isn't a lot going on with the other instruments most of time; he might as well 'fill' up the space. It's his style. Not every drummer is content just holding the beat forever, especially in an aesthetic like this. Maybe you should look Danny Walker up. He does a lot of stuff on youtube and in other bands, definitely not worth judging based on one song.

Can anyone direct me towards any specific albums (rather than just bands) similar to progressive sludge music of Habitual Levitations and Valley of Smoke? Recently opened my mind to the colours of Mastodon, Isis and Baroness, but my I am very eager to hear more beautiful sounds like Intronaut.
Yup it is a real shame; I play in F Standard and Drop Eb mostly and I still use the bass guitar as the main source of low frequencies even when both the bass and guitar are in the same Octave.
