I wish the intro was filmed as well...
im sure its really challenging to play and wont sound perfect lol
It's to beautiful for eyes...... he didn't want to melt our eyes.
Chris does a nice demo here ruclips.net/video/hygI00u6RZs/видео.html
Dominick Guerra the hardest part about the intro there’s a double power chord arpeggio that you have to use your index to middle then move your index to the B on the 3rd string
@@survivalstyle9228 probably one of the most difficult learning curves I’ve ever had on guitar but once you get it down its amazing to play. And show off
One of the crowning achievements of the entire instrumental metal movement over the past decade.
Am I the only one frustrated that the intro has no actual footage of this guy playing his part? Same with the bassist it kills me man...
He gatekeeping😂
Everytime i think i am proving to be a player, i run across something like this that knocks the wind out of my sail.
I know the feels:(
this song is like a breath of fresh air
This is so accurate
This guy is a genius. A storyteller.
100% talent!
Emanuele Mazzoni he really truly amazing whats in a person
*100% skill, trained and honed through years of unrelenting practice
@@beredetump1635 of course man👍
talent... you know that you spit every professional whatever in the face, when you say its talent and not hard work?...
At this moment in time, EMG had Chris, Tosin, and Devin perform live songs in their studio. Talk about the roster.
I do not deserve to hear such beauty
By far one of their most well written songs.
This song reminds me of looking at my daughter right after she was born :,)
Kinnzie Martin Oh sure, rub it in my face that I don't have functional ovaries.
Sorry I didn't mean to "trigger" you
***** It's okay, I actually just found out that men aren't supposed to have ovaries, so my situation is perfectly normal. Kisses!
+Kinnzie Martin emotional song and emotional story. I'm gonna cry :'(
+Kinnzie Martin Inspiring?
dude..I was honestly listening to the bass the whole time. Love the lines he adds. Really motivating to what I like to do.
Man you cut out the fucking intro :l I wanted to see how he does it.
+Ollie De Bidaph there's a tutorial for it

Few bands can have every member of their band play with impeccable technicality and still have listenable music. The biggest two that come to mind are Rush and Scale the Summit
Listening to this song makes me feel like I've just gone through a horrible time in my life and I'm coming through on the other side and everything is getting better
makes me wanna play a strandberg now
Feel u
its awesome :)
Remember: the guitarist makes the guitar, not vice versa. I've learned the hard way.
Archibald Turner what did you buy?
@@arseniitrifonov9015 right, better I go buy some new tools because i'm going diy now.
It's 2022 and this still blow my mind.
Great piece. One of StS's best and excellent hiking/traveling music.
To those saying that, "this is not very technical" or "this is so easy", it isn't about using every trick in the book to make the song better. It's simply about making a great piece of music, to which they have definitely succeeded.
Also, SPOILER ALERT: musicians who put out albums have limits to their technical prowess just like you and I.
Jordan Mandas I very much agree. There's a huge misconception in the metal community that speed + complexity = challenging. Listeners often neglect aspects of intricacy, fluidity, pacing, and patience. (that last part being my biggest obstacle as a guitarist)
+Gregory G. Dude, I saw the patience thing for the first time myself the other day. I taught the other guitarist of my band a simple as pie riff that had accents on the off beats at the end of the riff so it had a bit of a funk vibe to it, and he just simply COULD NOT play it. He HAD to hit the beat. I constantly showed him the right way to do it but it's like his body wouldn't let him take that extra split second to rest. Really weird experiencing something like that firsthand.
+Anthony Nelson that's why I practice with a metronome over as many different time signatures as much as I can, even practicing simple exercises in this way can teach your hands to move more fluidly over unorthodox beats and timings. especially if you start at the slowest pace tolerable over each sig you decide to work with. maybe mentioning this to him can help him learn those riffs that incorporate interesting and/or procussive angles a little more comprehensively.
I tried playing this on my 8 today. This is hard y'all. I can play the woven web. This is way harder.
Dude. Who could ever say this is easy. I quit trying to cover this song just looking at the tab of the intro lol.
Nonetheless, music is not about techinical difficult. For me, it’s about touching someone’s soul in its deepest part.
The progression from 2:00 - 3:00 is absolutely beautiful.
2:10 the delay melody is so bucketheadish
Reminds me of anything off Colma
You guys know any such similar melodious instrumental music
Buckethead electric tears
The bass in this music is so great! The bassist should be recording this video along with C. Letchford!
He has quite a few play through videos of Scale The Summit, including this song! His name is Mark Michell
My brain can't even comprehend what he's doing.
My new favorite StS song. Hell, my new favorite song period. I'm so happy I learned of this group a couple of years ago. I feel like a better person for having heard their work, and am grateful I've been allowed to bask in it's glow. Mr. Letchford and company have a lifelong fan in me.
Tda semana tenho q ouvir esse som..
I would absolutely love to play drums in a band like this. Perfectly progressive.
I love that part from 3:22-3:30
the slide sounds so pretty with the delay
Best part
Amazing!!! Easy and gentle with every finger stroke and move. Breathtaking and simply beautiful!!
I stumbled upon this band last night, have yet to listen to anything else since lmao.
The intro is so sick. I love the song as a whole, but i wouldnt complain if it was just that the whole time
Fantastic, Chris! Brilliant and feels so free!
This would be cooler if the bass player were next to him
***** good comment!
+Sam Tuthill Indeed, one the best bassists I've seen.
StS was in my city playing a show when I left for vacation,
Cmon!
I bought 2 of their tabs book and felt really good buying it. If you like a band, supporting it is the best feeling ever. Plus I really like the fact that you learn the song it is meant to be played. I will definitely buy this tab book as well.
I just want you to know, Chris and Travis, that you two are my main provider of inspiration now a days. I bought your tab book, and currently learning this song. It's proving to be a hassle and a challenge, but seeing the flow and how easy you guys do it, I'm encouraged to continue. Thanks for making amazing music.
So melodic i love. Everything about this son is creative and soft nothing rough but beautiful in a sence. Hats off to you my friend you did a great job.
I love it more and more each time i listen to it
What a beautiful song... and badass guitarist
The intro of this song is simply mindblowing I wish we would get to see Chris play it all!
This is almost euphoric. I love it.
This is so awesome!!
First time hearing them and already in love with just hearing the intro.
I must say this is very good. I'm not usually into this kind of music but the atmosphere he creates with the effects and choices of notes is incredible, it almost takes you to another dimension. Amazing precision and expertise of playing. Could listen to this over and over again.
I'm here to see what he does at the beginning, they only showed a tiny portion of it (bastards!), but I stayed 'til the end 'cause this song is fucking ethereal!
Man, this is great! The feel of this song is astonishing
Oh my!He's just gold
Ha, awesome. Can't wait to open for this band in a few days.
Yes. A million times yes.
one of the most wonderful songs in life
I totally forgot this existed then found it on an old playlist with barely anything else on it. Today is a good day! Just wish they'd shown Chris playing the intro!
This is beautiful.
Just wanna say.... Epic ! Can't wait to see you next week :)
Chris is no Tosin Abasi, Nor is he a Guthrie Govan or Paul Masvidal. I feel he has taken all 3 and made them all of his own in STS :) Long Live Scale The Summit.
This is perhaps the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.
Brilliant composition! I also think the album artwork fits perfectly, surreal.
shredds me tears of joy every time :,)
No puedo creerlo!
Es Sorprendente Ver la ejecución de tan bella melodía, y el fingertap WOW. Me encantan los efectos que utiliza: el Flanger, chorus, reverb, delay, wah, etc... Simplemente genial.
This is beautiful guitar playing! Very impressive and inspiring.
I discovered this band now and I have nothing to say, just love.
This is really amazing.
Very nice! I like the atmosphere of this song!
This song is so breath taking that it seems like it never ends. After a few seconds I kept looking at the minutes to see if it's even moving. It is moving, but doesn't feel like it. Seems to stop/slow down time. Take in every part of this song
Beautiful.
such a beautiful style, love the new album
Wow man that was beautiful.
Pure bliss!
That is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.... Love the harmonic run at 4:00!
awesome sound!!!
Gorgeous ideas
its pleasure in my ears
this really fascinated me
chris is a talented dude, he deserves all the success he gets
I want to see that intro so bad, I wish it showed the EMG portion at the end, that part seriously put me in a trance when I first heard it
Fantastic guitarist!
Que timbre... fenomenal!!!
that tone with the delay is so beautiful
soooooo good
Fast? Shredders have their own idols and heroes. Chris L. plays with accuracy, melody, and a wonderful talent for feeling the scales. My compliments to EMG and Chris for showing us this beautiful talent. If there are more guitarists who play similarly, they are welcome to put up their music. I would listen eagerly. Moar i say.
This song inspires me
my god this is amazing!
amazing performance! really wish they would have played this at South by so What this year but oh well. glad i got to meet them :))
I love axe fx... love emmm
Great talent.
Amazing...

The 57-7H & 66-7H have been released and are available to order on the EMG Pickups.com site now. They haven't made it out to all the retailers yet but they will shortly.
Who needs vocals when you have these Melodies!
The whole Coma Album is reverb/delay heaven man
Such little effort and played with such ease, yet produces such a beautiful sound.
this is so cool
Awesome.
Really enjoyable!
Oh man I want that guitar.
great sound because of great playing.
Beautiful piece, as one of the comments below mentioned, it's like Durutti Column taken to the next level.
It's nice actually being able to hear the base.
He's just like, "fuck, I don't want to play the intro again, my hands caught on fire last time."
oh man.. this track is way awesome.. love it :)
The backing from 4:19 onwards is flipping unreal.
This is the best part of the song for sure.
