Whenever I feel depressed about being stuck in a job that I feel is stopping me from writing music, i watch this, contemplate the fact that ben is a commercial pilot and is pulling this off at the same time, Inspirational as fuck.
More power to Ben Sharp and Intronaut! One of the most creative bands around.
Same here dude!!!
I have the same exact feeling man!
ohhhhhhhhhhhh now beacons makes sense
God, those slow slides in the middle buildup section are so damned haunting. Like an air raid siren presaging the end of the world.
thats part of what makes this song sooooo fantastic!!
It's a pretty clear impression of a plane going down, damned haunting indeed.

Any idea how he makes those sounds? At 3:30 it shows him holding something in front of the strings with his picking hand, but I can't figure out what it is. I can see what he's doing with his fretting hand well enough.
Crislips it’s called an E-Bow :)
@@Crislips EBOW / Chord interval / Lots of delay and reverb
anybody that says that this gets repetitive isn't listening close enough
You know how people are... no patience... :)
infinite variation within repetition. :D
This was my first time hearing this track and I’m hooked
Shit gave me chills. It's great to break away from anything readily recognizable as being divisible by 2, 4, or 8.
This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen
The most amount of props ever given to Intronaut for soliciting Benn to be his backup band!
I played in a band that was second opening for the show that was in Portland OR in this tour and I don't think I've ever topped the euphoria and love in one night compared to that night ever in my life. I watch these videos from this point in time and it fucks me up with feels, every time. One of the best moments of my entire life.
The drummer is an absolute champ too!!
Ben Sharp is definitely my biggest guitar hero and inspiration.
Nothing compares to the grooves, riffs, and just power that he has created.
Their drummer is sick!!
For anyone wondering, this was recorded in Vancouver. And at :10 in, the really loud ear splitting scream was me.
+Jeff Evans LOL
The audio is from the studio recording right?
Into The Infinite no. it's the live performance with mixing/editing
You're on Spotify, awesome man \m/
Hell yeah dude
Danny walker is by far one of the best drummers in this day and age- met him live in okc-cool humble dude with a welcoming approach to advice on his gear and style-having said that, intronaut altogether as a band are just a bunch of kickass dudes that write amazing music- cloud kicker , respectfully in his own right, produces equivalent, astounding music and is a one man army machine- god I love music!!! And these guys collaborating!!!
GrapeSkoda Allegedly.
Intronaut + Cloudkicker
The perfect pairing. Hope they do this again in 2020.
Ben Sharpe I love your music man, I've been listening for almost 5 years and it just doesn't get old. Dude you are probably my favorite musician of all time. I really hope you keep making stuff. And hopefully you read this someday.
I wish this track was infinite.
Their bassist was soooo good live. Intronaut just played amazingly, and of course ben was tight as fuuuck
semenski90 Joe Lester is Intronaut's secret weapon.
This tour was fuckin lit. Saw the show in Edmonton. Was my wife and I's first concert together and it was fucking amazing. Cloudkicker performed amazingly and the band was tight all throughout the performance. Even in a small little joint the sound was wicked. Never forget this night.
The ol pawn shop! I was there that night. Bobbing my head in the back in delight and awe.
what an honor it must be to play Ben's work live beside him. couldn't have had better musicians to work alongside Ben as well.
just awesome. never thought he could achieve such a perfect sound with a live band, intronaut do the job incredibly well
Saw these guys on tour with TesseracT a few years ago. What a killer show!
I was in Edmonton for one those shows.
@@poorboysadventures4636 We were probably at the same show then :)
@@mark7166 once in a lifetime experience. Probably my favorite show I've ever been to.
@@mark7166 the fact it was the habitual levitations tour as well. My favorite Intronaut record.
@@poorboysadventures4636 Mine too!
What a delightful experience it is to watch it.
That dude in the middle is such a darn cloud kicker!
Nothing better than when a band sounds great live. I love tunes like this. All around great music with no vocal interruptions. ROCK ON!!!!!!
Such an incredible piece of music!
Greatest bass tone eveR!
Been working my way back through the Cloudkicker catalog and became fixated on this track. The band does an amazing job putting it together live. Simply amazing, meditative, heavy, and entrancing.
I always come back to this song/recording every year or so and it captures me every time.
The level of discipline is through the roof!! What an effing groove!
I just cannot believe I've missed this one. When I became aware of Cloudkicker and his work years back I thought to myself: "Great stuff, would be awesome to hear it live but probably never gonna happen." And just yesterday I came across this video. Intronaut did incredibly good work here. And if I'm lucky enough I'll be listening to live CD from next week on (purchased, now waiting for delivery) :)
This is impressive.
I remember seeing this show those years ago in Philly, and watching this just gave me goosebumps! incredible performance. Wish Ben would go out on tour again!
I love this hard to follow shit. Then when you find the groove, it's so satisfying.
Awesome groove. Such an underrated band! One of my favorites. Right up there with AAL.
I'm so glad he's doing live stuff, stupendous work by the way Intronaut.
Man I loved this show.
And this song, is such a jam, one of the ultimate build up/progression songs. Always think of this and into the everflow by psychotic waltz
So glad we managed to make the trek to the Cleveland show. Have seen Intronaut many times and wasn't going to miss this amazing combo show. Cheers from Canada!
dude...every time I watch this, I zone out in the music and trippy editing.
+TheMadeMan36 Yup. Amazing song, for sure.
This is a celebration
Вступление огонь! В лучших традициях прог-металла!
Super découverte..
Merci Damien soupizet ❤️
Danny walker and intronaut, this has to be one of the best performances I've ever seen! Of course you can't forget about the one and only BEN SHARP!!! We love you CLOUDKICKER!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
no drummer in metal sound nearly as good as Danny does. what a beast!
Sounds awesome! Can't wait for the record to drop!
Holy shit!
I will never forget the chills I felt during this show. (not this filming.... it was Portland, Oregon) but Nothing will match with high that Ben got during the first few shows of this tour. Nothing
One of my favorite shows ever
So good, so so good.
Soooo Awesome. Great job on putting this together, I love that I get to see the drummer throughout the song. Danny Walker kills it!
Danny is killing it live!
Hypnotizingly good!!
love this video. the ending with the triple super imposition effect, bad ass.
Ben's my favorite artist of all time.
Absolute excellent!
This song is perfect.
AWESOME
Fantastic.
Awesome track!
beyond the mind, awesome!
groove overload!
love it! \m/
Pretty damn awesome
Awesome way to relive the Seattle show... thanks again!
Ahhhhh, you were there, too?! Was amazing, wasn't it?!
Anthony Nelson I let the sound just wash over me... it is like a parting gift from the universe before it kills us all... happy trails!
I don't think that could of been any better.
ART
Fly my plane! Ben Sharp > Steven Wilson. He's one of the few musicians I'd want to go see live. I can listen to his music again and again, it doesn't get boring. Ben, just in case you read this, thank you so much for making such fantastic music. I LOVE it.
FEATURING MY HAIR AT 1:40 LIFE MADE

Intronaut can pull any band's music so fucking awesomely :D
Never heard of Intronaut (kicking myself in the ass cuz they are extremely good) and I'm so glad Ben had such a great band to play his music with, so much talent here!
Pretty great recording, must say. A/V quality is on point.
Да, детка!!
Man, this is tight as fuck.
cool
WOW, BEN NOW CAN PERFORM
New Orchestral. this calms me like bach or debusi. brain food. 4 minutes in and that slow drag. and people say there isnt any new good music. they aint looking properly. sadly wont find this on the radio

как же ахуенно!!!!!
fucking awesome
6 mins 43 seconds of just fire
Ben sharp is so fuckin awesome, and this isn't even his day job lol
really fucking good!
Can anyone tell me how it is called that guitar technic that played Ben Sharp? Greetings from Guatemala Central America
Solid as fuck man.
Any reason Ben doesn’t play his own lead vs rhythm? Is it just to give the guitarist fun shit since they are backing him up? Love CloudKicker!
He said in an AMA that he picked the most emotional guitar parts to play
Anyone has any idea what tuning this is? Thanks very much!
Balls squad!
What is the guitarist using around 4:00 on his right hand to get that sound.?
It's a device called an E-Bow. It vibrates the strings to create endless sustain without any pick attack. It's been around for a long time. Super cool gadget.
Ben was also using a slide on his left hand to add even more of a ghostly sound by allowing the notes 'in between' the frets to sound out. Really cool imo.
Ben using this device in more song
Anyone know what he's using at 3:19 ?
That's an Ebow :)
This music is perfect for people who love GY!BE but don't love being on mushrooms all the time. Can't believe I haven't see the gybe comparison yet, actually. Epic song, Ben is amazing.
Yes, absolutely. Different musical worldviews I think, but very interesting and profound intersections.
i thought that Cloudkicker doesnt do a live shows
he wasn't...he was writing and recording the songs all by himself cause according to him "couldn't get the ideas from his head exactly the way they were in there when working with others", but people was asking him to form a group so we could hear him live and he did.. :)
Where are these dudes from by the way?
Who is that drummer hes on fire>>>>>>>
Danny Walker, extremely precise drummer.
