I have watched this video MANY times. I have never needed to look for another video showing me how to do this because this one is so well made and clear. I just bought a small warping board which doesn't have the raddle crosses built in, but after watching this I realized that it will be worth building in a raddle cross to the warping pattern and maybe adding 3 pegs to the unpegged board later.
I got a Gilmor Mini Wave loom for Christmas and had no idea what was involved. I picked up an Ashford Warping board yesterday and was thankful to find this video. I made a warp - think I did it right - and now it's time to sit down with the loom!
I made it the first time like instructed here. It is great how simple it is. Weaving live can be so easy ;) Thank you Kate for your detailed explanation. You made a good job! ♥
I have relied on this video for some time. I have acquired an Ashford Warping Mill. Have you made a video on winding a warp on the mill? I’m a bit fuzzy on how this would work on the reddle cross.
Question: I have no trouble cleaning 95 percent of my banger except for the same spot , over and over. There is a section in the convex bottom in the valley where product has burned more heavily , harder to clean. I use a manicure tool to scrape away the burn. Is this because I am not heating up the banger properly? Holding the heat on that spot too long?
I have a large 36" x 36" warping board. I don't use it on my Newcomb Studio 48" with a "sectional back beam". It was really easy to warp, I have the Newcomb warping tree and the tensioner. Recently I added a Leclerc Dorothy table loom (Old Clone of the pattern) so I know I need a warping board for it. I don't want to use the huge 40yd board. I purchased a smaller board, but IDK quite how to apply your technique. It is ~ 20" x 20" with 2 pegs, 11 pegs, 2 pegs, 11 pegs. I'm confused about where I would put the crossovers? I really want to get the "Dorthy" setup to my wishes. The warp on it is ugly/small. Thank you.
This was very helpful. You explained it well, went slow onough so that we could catch what you were doing and showed some closeups of the crosses. Very well done.
I am a newbie and I don't understand why you only cross every 10 threads at the bottom? Because there are 10 threads in a half inch but why is that important? Please clarify, thanks!
So what to do if your warp is 14 inches I am doing it on turned over tables I would like to get pegs or a board but I know this will not fit on a warping board or maybe I am wrong this will be for a shirt this is only half I will have to do one more I wish I could do it 20 inches but I was told on a backstrap loom this will not work any help would be most appreciated

I agree!

But.. but.. having yarn rolling around on the floor is such great fun! Especially if you have cats.
So true!
What an interesting way to do your second cross. I like the idea of keeping your groups of ten separate like that.
All the videos and finally one that makes total sense!!

wtf is this comment
When winding an odd number of warps (color changes), is the thread cut and new thread tied to old at the end peg? Thanks for your video

Brilliant instructions. Thorough! Thank you!!!
I had a stroke & Love Ashford's videos, wish I had bought an Ashford loom. I can't seem to find much from Leclerc Bergere.
Do you have a video for using your warping mill?
what's the maximum lenght you can weave on a table loom?
Thank you
that'll depend on the thickness of your finished weave and how much of it can fit around the front roller but it's a LOT.
So can I use this warping board for backstrap loom can't find any video on it that are clear
Good job there. Am from Nigeria, how can I get those books, and how much each?
Ogbole Philomena , have a look on the Ashford website

So she can have exactly the same number of threads in each space in the raddle.

For this warp , can you use a PEG .
I've always wanted to learn weaving. I think it might help me if the technical words were spelled out.
Have you had a go at any weaving? Can I recommend you start with weaving on a frame loom and learn some of the terminology at a simpler level.
Hello, how many combos? How many teeth are in 10 cm? Can you teach us the most calculation when we weave?
Is that for weaving use?
If you lose count of how many threads you can just count the groups of 10.
The catalog of the loom is presented in different designs
thank you this is very helpful
