Oh, my! I can't thank you enough for these warping videos! I am new to weaving, hence I've been doing so many things wrong and struggling to get satisfactory results. What a public service you have created for we aspiring weavers. My heartfelt gratitude!

I am delighted to find you, Jennifer, and this great set of videos. It's been 3 years since I wove and I am trying to get back into it again. Now I feel much more comfortable and less afraid to begin. Thanks very much. Janice

I've had my Ashford 24" 8 shaft loom for 10 years, and this video FINALLY shows me what the cotter pins are for! THANKS. I normally thread front to back, so don't use a raddle, but I do use the single string at the front for tensioning, a wonderful way to do it for adjusting as needed. BTW I notice that your heddles are still all tied together at top and bottom, I have found it easier to cut them apart.

Thanks for the easy tie-off on the end. I am about to set mine up for the first time and thought ’I better watch one more video…’ you saved me a LOT of time and frustration!

The best weaving videos I've seen yet! And love the accent! Thank you for the detailed How To and the patience you show. I'm looking at buying this exact table loom. These two videos gave me the confidence to go ahead with the purchase. Thanks!

thanks so much!!!! my 5yo isn't great with knots but has loved this little BRIO loom we got, and there were next to no instructions! i love the extra bit of rope at the end, rather than me keep re-tying all the knots!

@gridflash Hi, sorry that is just the way we speak in New Zealand, I can't really do much about that :-) Glad you enjoyed the demonstration though.

Does it matter if you do it from left to right instead of right to left? Also, how do you keep from getting blisters? I can never keep my lashing tight enough.

Rather than do a header, simply throw 3 shots then beat but don't beat it all the way to the beam stick where the knots are and you'll be ready to weave right away. Beat until you feel a resistance. Warp will spread out evenly. Might have to do that 2 times depending on the thread, but generally simply throwing 3 shots then beating is all you need to do.

I watched this video not to see how to stretch warp threads,
but to see what mechanism moves the shafts down.
Nowhere do I have any information on this for table looms.
I wanted to build my own loom using some own technics.
I once built a loom. The problem with that was that the shafts were very difficult to move down.
It took all of my body weight to push them down.
The warp threads of wool were sticking too much to the heddles.
I can see, how the shaft were pulling up, but not how it is pulling down.
How does your table loom do this? (Sorry of my English, because it is not my native language)

The sett is 20 Ends Per Inch. She is using a 10 Dents Per Inch Reed so she has to put 2 threads in each slot.
