This video shows the step-by-step process of purifying a solid through crystallization. A 1 gram sample of impure NBS (N-bromosuccinimide) is purified using water as solvent and a hotplate. Techniques used include: boiling chips, boiling stick, paper towel holder, and scratching to initiate crystallization.
