The younger Elizabeth Sparkle did what a lot of young people do, abuse the use of something because they don't care or think that there will be consequences and only knows what they want, and it affected the older Elizabeth Sparkle.

Y'all gotta watch the whole movie to understand that it is her n only her. As the person who provide the med constantly remind her on the phone that both of her is one. When she is in her younger body, she is reckless, not thinking abt the repercussions of her actions. Like how u get high on drugs or alcohol. But the next day u hav to battle a nasty hangover n u regret ur past actions. That is what is happening. Both r herself. Hating herself, disgusted at herself, but when the time comes to take accountability, she rather enjoy n still do the same thing over n over again. That is her.
This hits close to home. I’m turning 40 next year. A lot changes I have to come to terms with. I finally realise that I need to stay healthy to feel good and have started to eat right and exercise regularly. Maybe I started this late, but better late than never, what with the cost of health care being crazy expensive these days. I hope to stay healthy not burden anyone for as long as I can 😁
Wow! Please stop acting as if your life is over. No man on earth who is 40 is sitting around thinking about things like this. Take care of yourself, but stop talking about being a burden or it being too late for anything. You can do and be whatever you choose.
Do you really know enough about how consciousness works to make a statement like that? In the movie only 1 of them can actually operate at any point in time.
I agree. I was expecting HER to turn young, kind of like in “Death Becomes Her”, NOT a whole different version of younger version of herself with their own personality to be created. I was thinking she, herself was going to have a younger body but with same mind. The younger version literally wanted to erase the entire memory of the older version instead of extending her life & legacy.
funny how things come full circle. or how the tables turn. or whatever. demi moore is on top again and her ex ashton kutcher's reputation is totally destroyed.moral is WAIT. BE PATIENT
She does. It is herself. The whole point of it is her being insecure and hating herself to the point that the old her is even envious of the younger her n the younger her disgusted at the old her. It's an endless cycle n the reason she was insane enough to go through with the whack science in the first place😅. She is narcissistic n greedy, only living in the moment, getting the repercussions of her choice when she is in her other body.
I like the intent of the psychological aspect of the fight they had. The truth is most women battle with changes of the physical body as they get older. Accepting one self is usually best. Interesting movie though.

I liked the first half -sort of like Jekyll and Hyde and Dorian Grey - but it’s like they couldn’t figure out how to creatively end it and just went for about 30 minutes of body horror instead. I think they should’ve kept it as a thriller or come up with a more creative ending. It seemed like it was trying to cater to both gore fiends and a more cerebral audience (yes, they can intersect probably not very often). Also it’s one of those movies where you think, ‘how could the characters make such stupid and selfish decisions?’ which makes them less sympathetic.

Demi Moore did an excellent job but they should’ve uglied her up from the start to make the younger and “hotter” claim believable. She’s stunning. The younger version was cute and all but Demi is on another level physically, age be damned.
I think that was the point of the whole movie. Elisabeth was vibrant and gorgeous. She gave that up just to walk around in a younger body 2 weeks out of the month. She ends up becoming what she feared, old and ugly. And at the end she becomes a literal monster.
