Way too late, but no. What the Paris specific section of the rulebook means is the icon shown gets you one point for each stolen good. It's not always in effect.
Another great video. Thank you. There was remarkable dexterity displayed in this one by way of card manipulation and box handling. Rodney is the true mastermind!
Another great "completely skipped the rulebook" tutorial. Thanks Rodney. Also, what a fantastic little game. Super fast with a high "decisions per minute" score. Excited to play again.
I just found a barely played copy of the Mastermind edition at a used bookstore! Can’t wait to play this one. Thanks for the clear explanation once again!
How do you prepare for your videos in order to feel completely confident in your teachings. How many times do you read the rulebook? Do you play the game before? Do you watch "How to play" videos?😂😂😂
Rodney, you are top notch at this.... seriously no one is better at it. Thank you for all you do. You make the board game space (and probably the world in general) better just by being yourself. Another amazing how to play video...Thank you.
I always find your run throughs really great. Other people can learn a lot from you. You don't make any mistakes, go off in tangents, there is a good pace, you thoroughly explain things with examples, well organised. You even explain complex examples and pitfalls would could easily happen if we don't pay attention.
am i correct in saying that this is a re-launch of he original Caper game plus it's expansions, or is this different all together? been looking for the original for a while.
Great video, as always! Just a quick question, though...Can you confirm that it's only the player that wins a location, that gets to score ANY points there? Thanks!!
They are the only person who scores the "location" related points. When you move onto scoring Thieves, for example, you still get the points from thieves at locations you didn't win. Know what I mean? You put ANY in all caps, so I want to make sure you aren't referring to ALL steps of the scoring phase. This section will cover it in detail: ruclips.net/video/Jrya73WQA7k/видео.html
@@WatchItPlayed Ah! I’ve been playing it wrong since buying it! I thought it was ‘Winner Takes All’ at each location. How did I miss that?!? Thank you!
Thanks!
You’re very welcome Michelle - thanks for the kind support!
3:37 Perfectly picking and fanning 4 cards twice in a row? What is this sorcery??? 😂
Was going to say the same thing. I had to rewind to watch it again, and thought, "Damn that Rodney is smooth!" haha
right?! impressive!!
You’re simply the best Rodney. I appreciate all your work on these. Ark Nova next? :)
Ha! Haven't had a chance to play that one yet - so many games, so little time :) Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed!
@@WatchItPlayed A wonderful problem to have :)
as always - clear and concise
Thank you kindly Ulrik!
What was that cardistry magic 😳???
So when playing Paris a set of 3 stolen goods is actually word 12 (9+3), a set of 2 stolen goods 7 (5+2) and 1 stolen good 3 (2+1) points. Correct?
I normally do my best to answer all rules questions, but I don't have my copy (I lent it to a friend), so I can't look this up for you, sorry!

Come for the box flip, stay for the tutorial.
Hope you enjoyed :)

Hey hey Rich - so glad to hear you enjoyed playing this one!
I don't know if it's been done before, can we get a box lid dropping, card fumbling blooper reel? lol
RODNEY NEVER DROPS THE BOX! He’s already confirmed this
@@lawofgravity1979 well if the law of gravity says he's never dropped a box, he's never dropped a box
Certainly! ruclips.net/video/9WXTNh3fsM0/видео.html

My pleasure - have a great time playing!
03:37 That double 4 card lift and fan really warmed my extremities
04:47 don’t tell me that’s a double 6 lift, this is madness!
So glad you make videos Rodney! Rulebooks put me to sleep 😴
Very glad these don't!

I do my best to ensure the presentation is as good as I know how to make it.

Very kind of you to say Davis - thanks for the kind feedback!
Everything about this game oozes Wes Anderson style. Pretty cool.
Agreed!
This is an excellent game. It is simple, clean, quick and fun. I would consider this a must own.
So glad it's one you've enjoyed :)
Great timing! Just got this game as a present for my wife. Any chance you will be doing an explanation of Mind MGMT in the future? Thanks!
Thanks for the interest! I talk a bit about that here: ruclips.net/video/EdtDuvIUa6A/видео.html&t=342
This is such a cleverly elegantly made game
So glad you 've enjoyed :)

Great video! Super cool art! 🖼 😎
Thanks Henri - the art is really great, right?
This was incredibly helpful, thank you!
You're very welcome - glad you enjoyed!
Does Chaz know that he lost in your tutorial (again)?
I mean, it's not my fault he didn't play very well!
Eggsellent! The slight of hand is next level.

I never played the original, but I believe this is a different game?
It the same game with an extra location and redone art.

@@andreagnew Just to be clear, the winner takes all in terms of the "Location" scoring.

is this game basically marvel snap? haha
I can see the comparison :)
keep up the videos, you do a great job in explaining them
Thank you Troy, very kind of you to say!
This looks like a lot of fun! Are there other caper games besides europe?
There is a game called just 'Caper', it's pretty good!
@@SmushroomProductions thanks
