Wow, so much to think about! Thanks for pointing out so many useful tips: cord storage, rolling chairs, pool noodles/storage containers, hot stove, plants, candles, curtains. I was thinking of using a baby gate for an entranceway that does not have a door, but I was also thinking it may not be tall enough. The clip of the cat jumping right over the gate confirmed it, I’m going to have to think of another solution
you're very welcome!!! =) glad i could help! i think it depends on the personality of your cat, i have 2 cats and one isn't so much of a jumper where as the other one is. so a baby gate might work if your cat isn't much of a jumper and obviously try to buy the tallest baby gate you can find lol! i bought a pretty tall one but i had to set it up higher with cardboard blocking the 1 foot gap at bottom at first so that the gate would be even " taller" when i was training my kitten that he's not allowed to go to the other side of the gate. now that my cat knows not to go to the other side of the gate, i can set it at regular height ( without the cardboard ) and he doesnt try to jump over it.
buying a cat from a breeder still needs boundaries and time to adjust. These mama's are bred over and over for profit. Visit an animal shelter and you will find a cat (perhaps a senior cat, they are much more calm in most cases) or a kitten who is dying to find a home.
Hi! I might be getting a kitten around april-June and my parents said if i get a cat it'll have to stay in my room, after like 2 months it'll be able to walk around but ill have to follow it. Is that ok? Ill have all the stuff it needs in my room just a little nervous
Excellent video. Glad you were there to save the bunny. Just before Christmas I was woken up in the morning by the sound of a crashing sound and a cat running up and down the stairs. It was Emma who got her head stuck in the string handle on a paper shopping bag. She panicked and ran around till it ripped. She was smart enough to run upstairs and hurl herself into my bedroom door (she knows that if she does it enough the door will open on its own). Poor little girl was traumatized. As I type this, Gromit is sleeping on the floor with his tail almost under my chairs wheel. I'm always cautious of that and my recliner.

You're so welcome!
Thanks for these helpful tips.😊😊😊
Thank you
Good advice, I'm thinking a kitten is not the way to go now, but maybe mature cat from a breeder. Thanks.
