  • We take the Jeep over to Bruny Island and explore from the Northern corner to the Southern tip, passing through the Neck, checking out local delights and hiking to stunning beaches. We even manage to find an old logging road that cuts across the island to explore in the Jeep

Nice of you to be a discerning driver and not run wild on the beach like some ...
Cheers to both of you. 🍷 & 🍺

@@TheRoadChoseMe 🙌🏻 Dan, i’ve been meaning to ask, what kind of filming equipment do you take with you? I’m planning a 3 month trip myself and would really appreciate you experience with this topic. Thanks!!

Dear Dan, great videos. I would kindly like to ask you if you could tell us what gopro specification/setting do you use for these great time lapse videos during driving, as you did in Africa. Do you use wide, or super wide, or standard? How many frames per second? Resolution? I would simply like to set my camera the same way, except I have it mounted on the roof rack in front. Thank you very much, Martin

What are your thoughts on the length of this trip around Australia? Do you have any specific time frame you are trying to get done by? I would think this could take years.

I spent a year touring OZ a few years ago in a 4x4 and thought these videos might bring back some good memories. The first I watched some weeks ago had 90% of the shots with your vehicle side or hood taking up most of the frame, in the rest the camera was pointed directly at your face. Couldn't even get through a few minutes of this because I see you've decided to combine the two and completely eliminate any view of the landscape.
I hope you take time to really enjoy the places you are rather than setting the camera up to record yourself driving through another puddle indistinguishable from the last. If I wanted to stare at you or your jeep I'd hang a photo on my wall, the natural scenery is much more appealing to me though. Might also explain why you only get ~5% of your subscriber count in views. If you're happy with it and find it works for you, then best of luck but to me it comes across as unnatural and narcissistic.

Thanks for the feedback. I've still got a lot to learn with regards to telling a story on film, and I'll use your input to improve in the future.
