Love your content GT, you manage to be both entertaining and informative. I’ve decided that before I start ordering my grow gear that I’m going to sign up for the Patreon tier that offers a 30 minute tent setup telephone call, and once I’m ready to grow, step that up to an hour call a month.
To those who might think it’s a waste of money, consider if you will all the costs associated with outfitting a 2x4’ or 4x4’ tent with everything you need, not to mention $100+ on seeds, so IMO spending a little extra for a bit of mentoring each month, to hopefully insure a successful first grow, is well worth the investment, especially when you need the harvest to treatment of medical conditions.

Now I live in Michigan where they had to put their pig shit away for good. They used to mess with potheads all the time. Since 2018 when weed became legal, they had to give up completely. Even the medical marijuana they messed with people on that left and right but now 62% of Michigan voted in 2018 and those cops know what they can do with it. Freedom. Be sure to vote.

dude this is SERIOUSLY so IMPORTANT. I wish I came across this before and REALLY great advice I wish somebody had told me to start small too because there is so much to learn and grasp and its constant adjustments, etc... One thing that I didn't realize and makes COMPLETE sense is to have the fans working together and not against each other. I have an L shaped room that I just had trouble in, temps and rh were on point, I had SO many fans too but all oscillating in a random pattern... Ran into a tiny bit of issue but got it under control for the most part, now I'm reassessing everything. Seriously great video, SUPER IMPORTANT. Definitely not talked about enough.

In my Gorilla 4x4 Instead of using a small oscillating fan like you do in Zone A I picked up a cheap AC Infinity 4” Inline Duct Fan with 2 pieces of flex duct, one into the tent and one on the back side of the fan. Normally I just let it pull fresh air in but I live in the Northeast so During the winter i hook a piece of flex duct from my hearer vent in the room my tent is in to the in-line fan and keep my tent nice and toasty 👍🏻

I have an in line fan for intake so that it can blow on top or under neath the canopy. Also keeps the walls from sucking in and reducing square footage. 4x 6 with 4 inch exhaust and 4 inch intake strait lined only 2 bends on the intake. 1 12 inch and two 8 inch fans blow in across the canopy where it hits the wall on the other side. At which point the air goes up and down the circulates back to the fan. In theory. So underneath I will direct the intake below canopy so it points toward the wall that has clip fans blowing above canopy.

I started right with a 5x5 and just went overkill from the beginning. Two small oscillating fans on the floor. Then 4-6” fans on the top of the canopy. If it is super hot I will stick a large oscillating fan. This time I don’t have room for that so I added an air purifier that also moves air in the tent. I have never had any problems with mold

I use a flat panel circulating fan. Its 20 inches wide and has a rotating grill that vents the air into different directions while not taking up any floor space in the tent (its suspended in the air by a few adjustable rope hangers.) On its lowest setting it will still gently move the furthest plant from it and the rotating grill prevents the closer plants from getting any wind burn. I got it for $15 at Aldi. I also have a 3x3 that I use for drying. Its connected to the 4x4 with a single dryer vent duct and positioned close to the carbon filter. My exhaust fan is able to pull enough pressure to suck air in from that duct allowing me to have a small amount of airflow without buying another exhaust fan, since the duct is so close to my filter I haven noticed any increase in humidity in my grow tent despite having it be much higher in the drying tent.

I have a 3x4 tent from Vivosun. It came with a wall so it can be a 3x3 with another 1x3 section, but I leave out the wall so it's 3x4 inside. I've never seen 3x4 tents advertised but if that's the right size for you it's easy to get the divided kind and don't use the dividing wall. Other brands make them too, I know Mars Hydro has the same thing. I found the 1x3 space to be basically useless and it's hard to find a light for that space. The 3x4 space is pretty good for me. I could probably get 3 plants in a 2x4, 5 will barely fit in the 3x4 and 4 is about perfect with 5 gallon pots and pans under them.

Hey GT, thanks for the informative and excellent insight. I haven't started growing yet, but the first thing I bought was a 5x5, so now having to buy heavier equipment like an expensive FC-8000 and an 8" exhaust fan to cover its size. I also bought a 2x4 as a seedling and cloning tent, with a 4" exhaust and Mars Hydro VG80 light. So just to confirm, with the 5x5, I need two 6" clip-on fans, One tower fan, and one 12" floor fan to cover A, B, and C? Thinking I should just put the 5x5 on hold until I get some grows under my belt and swap out the VG80 for the FC-8000 in the 2x4? I am an American living in Thailand so it takes forever to get seeds sent to me here, so really don't want to this mess up.

After extensive research.. 😂 I ended up going with a Vivosun 3×3 which really seems like its 4×4... its odd. And a 4" mars hydro Exhaust, with a 150 watt Mars hydro light. And AC infinity clip fan. I feel like I need another light though... what do you think GT?

Should you always have the exaust fan at a low of one? should it always be running?

I have to run a heater and humidifier with the exhaust fan on a constant speed of one. How do you set up your air exchange.
