I'm not even a professional detailer, and seeing someone put vaseline on dashboards and steering wheels really upset me too! Just like using a harsh drill brush on leather seats really upset me when i saw a video of someone using it! That is what a good cleaner and a leather brush is for!
Wack and hacks super funny and that’s why I enjoy the Rag Company videos. I’m a customer of The Rag Company they have some of the best products and my rag cabinet has nothing but The Rag Company rags. Loved the videos of the transformation of your facility by obsessive garage. I purchased most of my detailing equipment from them.
Unfortunately, it's not bait!!! The worst thing is, that Porsche guys have been doing it for decades! You can go to any air-cooled 911 forum and they STILL recommend doing it!
Dude said Vaseline is the best way to restore your interior! Wow! Homie even sprayed WD40 on top of it. Also, this guy hanging out at an Autozone tried to spray bug spray on my headlights once. I told him not no but HAIL NAW!
On headliner I use a sander with Meguiars carpet and upholstery cleaner and use it to spot clean on a microfiber pad, the foam is basically dry and removes all wherever I have used it on customer's vehicles. People applying Vaseline petroleum jelly makes me think they just want to destroy those vehicles 😜😜😜
#1 big wack - just steam it. #2 - use encap carpet cleaners for headliners or rinseless. #3 - wack. WD40 is only good for chewing gum on fabrics - trim resto there's four ways - polishing with silica and ultra fine polish on two inch rotary for permanent result on smooth or semi textured elastomer, ABS and unpainted semi textured rear spoilers (toyota 86 for example) as well as solution finish, shine supply trim paint, trim ceramic coatings. the anti static one - done that for decades especially with mild pet hair - helps pick up more hair. I hate carpet lines - gimmick. petroleum jelly please no - dust attraction, fogging and the GLARE off the dash in the sun - ahhh. HUGE WACK. If I steam that vaseline after it's set on for ages it's going to come off like a sheet of seran wrap - had it happen before with built up armor all.
Vaseline?!?! no way that reminds me of those that coat the vehicle with a ton of hyper dressing and still looks oily. trying to blind themselves also with the sun glare....
Vaseline might be useful on certain parts of your vehicle. Maybe you could put a bit on your trailer hitch to protect it from rust, although they actually make proper products for that.
The correct spelling is “Sydni Gwinn” 💯 Source: We see her almost every other week and she finds it funny/annoying how often her name is misspelled by people in the comments. 💀
You could try that, however you really want a product that part of its purpose is an anti-static. Paint Gloss truly is the better option and it evaporates quickly and doesn’t leave moisture. Absolute may. I do use absolute in an IK however for somewhat dry extraction
You use products that are meant for that purpose. They should watch videos on RUclips more that them correctly doing the cleaning and waxing. All I can say is WOW. I'm a beginner detailer how I learned was watching Pros on RUclips.
So much fun😜😜 Josh you are the man although you don't have an apparent title but when I met you at MTE you responded my questions and showed me all the products 👌👌👌
Some people should never be allowed to even make videos, let alone when they have NO IDEA of not only knowing what they are doing but not even knowing the "chemistry" involved when using petroleum jelly on Interior plastics and ehat petroleum jelly can do to these items!!" WHACK ATTACK" to the extreme!!!
Did you guys play that Wilson Auto Detail video at half speed? I've never seen that guy so calm.
😂🤣😂
That guy. He should go to be a high level salesman. And get out of the detail business.
@@ivoryviking You can be a high level salesman in the detailing business. Closing ceramic coating leads can make really good money.
"You know what I don't have in my shower ...car soap" lol even tho I have thought about washing with onr 😂
Ima have to bust out the Vaseline next detail 😮😂
We need to get you in one of these videos next time you visit TRC 😂
I think that dashboard had a bloody nose 😂
That Vaseline one has to be a troll!
Looks like “Real Mechanic Stuff” for detailing 😂

That Vaseline wheel was rage-bait for sure 😂
I like to throw in some crazy ones from time to time just to spice things up😂

For the anti static hack do I let the product sit and dry or vacuum right away after application?
6:00 if anything use a massaging gun... That really gets it out, without tearing up an expensive polisher...
The 'toilet brush' works for me, no compressor and tornador. Just vacuum, brush, vacuum, brush, vacuum 👍
Levi yelled no like his kid's name was Vaseline 😂
true😂
I hear ya! No slime and No glitter. If a car was coated in glitter, I would pass on that job!
Imagine getting your car back from a detailer and the steering wheel is coated in vaseline.
Calling the sheriff 100%
straight to jail
That's great stuff
I. Sure you can find more please do. That was fun❤

Yes, Humberto, I agree with you & Luke!
Protect your paint with vasoline for that deep oily look ;p
no way haha

Nice one, funny how angry they got about the vaseline, that really shows their dedication. Got some useful tips out of it too.
OMG i'm not even a detailer and i was cringing with the vaseline, Levi was having a fit for himself as well as Sydni. Yuck!!!
Boy, I love this series haha. So good
Glad you enjoy them because we love making them!
Awesome reactions!!! Funny video guy
Oh my gosh. I just recorded a video like this last week and scheduled it in my queue. 😂😂😂😂
Liked watching the video.. entertaining to see whats going on out there in the world.... if it's easy for yall, keep making them
Vaseline?!?! no way that reminds me of those that coat the vehicle with a ton of hyper dressing and still looks oily. trying to blind themselves also with the sun glare....
Pls do more loved it 😊
Really cool video! Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!

Love you guys and gals!
The sad part is people will watch those ridiculous “hacks” and do them. I caught a friend using toothpaste to remove scratches from her paint 😳🤦🏻♀️
Oh no 😅 did you show them the right way to do it?
@@theragcompany I tried but she thought it worked great and was telling others 😂
Nooooooo 😂
Lucas and Josh!!🥰🥰🥰
They are the best!
Is the Paint Gloass being used with or without the wax in it?
Hey, using that Vaseline on dash might help for the sticky dash problem?
Could Lady Gwinn spell her name out? I’ve seen it spelt out two different ways. Just saying.
Her name was accidentally misspelled in our day in the life description, her name is spelled: Sydni Brae Gwinn
The correct spelling is “Sydni Gwinn” 💯
Source: We see her almost every other week and she finds it funny/annoying how often her name is misspelled by people in the comments. 💀
It is Sydni Brae Gwinn
🫶🏼
The cone shaped brush for carpets works great for some? Don't knock it until you try it...
💯
That qd vacuum trick.
Could i just spray Absolute (256:1) on my carpet and hoover it up or does it have to be absolute qd (like 15:1)?

I like this series.
More to come thanks for watching!
So what do you use to help vacuuming?
Paint Gloss from P&S
Has anyone ever seen someone smear black shoe polish on tires? This drives me nuts
We call it valeting in the uk
So much fun😜😜
Josh you are the man although you don't have an apparent title but when I met you at MTE you responded my questions and showed me all the products 👌👌👌
Glad you enjoyed!
Pleasure meeting you Humberto! Always happy to answer any questions you may have.
I've been a food stylist for NASA since 1990.
LoL hellacious 😂
When i doubt......Don't! Ask or watch detailing videos before doing evil things to your car people!!
Enjoyed this video! Thank you
Of course! Thanks for watching!
7:45 I thought it was the extra weight of the chemical that helps with vacuuming, not a static issue…
Does Sidney have a youtube channel?
I do, however I don’t use it currently for my own content. I plan to, but for now all the videos I am in are either on TRC or P&S Detail Products.
I bet Levi likes Silly Putty though!
idk he seems pretty anti anything close to slime 😂
Your better off doing the rims like that with dish soap and its cheaper......but even that is a HELL NO!!!! Just not an angry hell no like vaseline
That was wild
The next one will probably be crazier

I'd rather listen to the song Vaseline! STP!
I was gonna say, total troll video on a junkyard car.
Hope he hasn't borrowed that jar of vaseline off his Mum.
They're all wack.
WACK!
Ok, just like nice Cube once said, “No Vaseline”
