What Matt is saying about the hexagon light it’s true. There are other cheaper and 100% better options. When you are polishing I find stressful to see the hexagon lights. Now I disagree with the Rinseless wash, I have friends who live in apartment complex and this is just life saver. Also, they work as water softener and quick detailer. I still think a pressure washer and soap is better, but rinseless is just game changer.

I've been hammering Matt in the comments for years on rinseless washing. I do 99% of my washes with rinseless and I use the same process he does for the wheels. I may use an IK foamer instead of a foam cannon, but I could do a foam cannon if I wanted to. I'm using the pressure washer almost every time I wash. If he was at my house in either the dead of winter, or the dog days of summer...he would absolutely understand why rinseless is S-Tier for life.
Matt is 100% correct about Hex Lights though. I went with Barrinas for a temporary solution until I can afford the CREE lights he sells, but I do not like the Barrinas at all. Their only benefit is a lot of light for very little money/effort. They may give me a headache and eye strain, but at least I can see what I'm doing in the garage now.

Fun video as Matt says what is on his mind. Matt’s financial advice is spot on so listen to him. Please keep shopping at Costco as I bought stock a few years ago at 375 a share and now the stock is over 740 a share. I am the oddball who first bought stock at the age of 14. The hexagon lights are terrible in my opinion too as the moldings crack and the lights run radio interference. I do not like those floors either as they trap contamination and harbor it. I worked for Publix for 12 years and clean floors is really important to me after working in a food prep area. I will argue rinseless wash is more efficient and economical than soap. Just because it is rinseless does not mean you cannot use a pressure washer for removing the presoak and cleaning wheels. Thank you for a fun video and hopefully this happens at least once a year!

I can't help but utterly piss myself laughing with Matt, what a legend! I completely agree with Matt's way of thinking, Matt is not weak at all, I can agree with his way of thinking and our thoughts are definitely aligned. The reason why everyone is so angry at Costco because of their food is full of UPF (Ultra Processed Food) They're all back in the store trying to fix up their sugar crashes and fill up on modified sweeteners, preservatives, stabilisers and colourings. Cold turkey on sodium benzoate, MSG, nitrate and sulphite, BHA and BHT's. That's why it's so tense and pressured in stores like that. Natural foods give you a clear mind and body. Any food that is 'soft' in your mouth and has a smooth texture like bread, Pringle snacks and anything that turns into a smooth paste once chewed only a few times is generally bad for you as rule of thumb. Pretty much all natural food like an apple, takes more often then not takes more chewing and its tough to begin with as its natural. I totally agree with Matts food OCD.
Hex lights- hahaha...... I think a strong amount of diffused lighting from lots of square ceiling light boxes, that mimics natural light that has plenty of light to completely fill your working area is the best.
PPF definitely satisfies my OCD. It's an S for me it could cost 10k I'd still pay it, I can't have stone chips. I would sell a car if it was crashed and repaired but the repaired paintwork wasn't pristine.

Hex lights are fine if you’re wanting to display a vehicle or for photos. Not so much for work in a garage.

Oh god...not the hex lights lol. Pretty much agree with all these rankings, with a few outliers:
PPF - kind of hard to tier this. I feel like there are generally two types of people...those who care about rock chips, and those who don't. If you care, then it's an S-tier because what other options do you have? I also heard $3,000 price points mentioned...I didn't hear what type of coverage that was for, but in the northeast, you can get "essential" coverage (full front bumper, mirrors, 1/2 quarters, 1/2 hood) for

@timkinley1779 PPF from 25+ years ago was definitely rough, to the point where it was still sort of competing with car bras.
Modern PPF is really solid. Quality films are typically warrantied for 10 years now

@timkinley1779 so good question - I can only speak for the Northeast, but our most common customers are actually folks who keep their vehicles for 10+ years. Our customers drive Subaru's, Lexus's, Honda's, and Toyota's...vehicles they plan on keeping long-term that they want to protect.
Matt mentioned "there's no point in getting PPF if your vehicle isn't at least $80k". Oddly enough, that's probably our smallest customer base. 35-70k are our core clients, and then we have folks with $150k+ vehicles and huge disposable incomes. $70k-$150k tends to be lease territory

Costco is the working classes favorite store. And for good reason!

Costco is fckn dogshit. Swarms of people your bumping in to, cant look at something for 2 seconds before someone behind wants you to move out the way, waiting in line on a fckn monday at 2pm for half an hour, parking lot is contantly filled, zero need for having a 5lb container of peanut butter or ketchup unless you have a giant family..tons of overpriced food in bulk that goes bad and/or gets freezer burn sitting in the freezer..i can go on and on. Costco is for bottom feeders. You'll spend less getting what you need for a week or two at a regular grocery store.

@@timkinley1779Costco is perfect for larger households and small businesses. Not sure why Matt thinks their inventory is cheap or junk because it really isn’t.
