Take's me back to the late 60's England when seeing group's in small venue's was all we had. Most band's played a lot of cover's and you got real EXCITMENT in a venue with no more than 200 people in it. You can see how much they are enjoying both the playing & the Audiance. >>>>> THE GUITAR BREAK was extreamly enjoyable
It was also so affordable to buy tickets back then too. The British Bands are my favorite. I started to go to concerts in 1967. When the Fillmore West opened in 1968 it was $3.00 to see 3 bands and one was a headliner. I have so many fond memories from the 60s.
Listening to the both of you performing all of these great songs brings back so many great memories. I am 70 years old and I want to thank you so much!!!
Mona can sing with more grit in her voice than I can muster. Or she can sing like the sweetest songbird. The Twins are amazing talents who've put in a lot of hard work on their craft.
@@vegashainning8071 They don't do a bad cover, everything they do is well rehearsed and practiced, have you heard them do anything you thought was less than good?
I'm 63 years old and vividly remember "back in the day" when this and so many of the other songs your father raised you to appreciate were hits on AM radio. Thanks for (re)capturing the fun, innocence and life of this music. I especially appreciate your use of Rickenbacker and Gretsch guitars to maintain the authenticity of of both sound and look of the era. I think you would make Lennon and Harrison smile.
You're quite right. I had previously commented to them that their song "This Boy is Mine" might be the best 1964 era Beatles song that the Beatles never wrote.
gert just jensen...though, if he prefers energetic rock numbers like this one, he might happen to like "This Boy Is Mine" and "When We're Together" better than "The Wide Wide Land"... ;)
Oh yeah! Mona's singing is so beautifully gritty and on the mark! Along with the spot on harmony singing, Lisa's guitar work is mesmerizing and thrilling. I can't sit still when listening!
Your energy is just like it was in the day, pure exuberant joy to sing from the gut unashamedly, just belt it out but also keeping it melodic. That was the brilliance of the Beatles not only their song writing abilities but also to 'belt' a song out or to sing the sweetest sounding ballads, to melt any womans heart. t's so good to hear these songs again in the way they were originally sung, brings the memories flooding back! 😘
This is the best cover of this song that I have ever heard. (One of my all time favourite songs.) The vocals, vocal harmonies, guitar sounds, instrumentalists and pace are bang on. Whoever did the video and sound recording certainly knows what they are doing. The venue is really cool too. Now, here are 2 songs that you MUST do..........The Who's, 'The Kids Are Alright,' and 'I Can See For Miles!!' I have subscribed to your channel ladies, and I'll be waiting for these 2 songs to appear! (Please.) Lol. Keep doing what you're doing. You are seriously, seriously brilliant. A breath of fresh air in the music scene!!
well another Saturday dealing with dementia, than you MonaLisa Twins. you make it a little easier to get through it. This seems to be my go to song. love it all. rock on
I love you guys it’s good to see the younger generation gets this era of R/R so well. Your passion really comes out in your Cavern shows. Rhythm section rules and I can tell you all have a good time. If ever In Seattle USA email me and I’ll get a bunch of friends to see you
The production values on all your stuff is just outstanding. The camera work, editing, audio recording, mixing, mastering, all top notch stuff. Along with your talent and charisma and you've got the WHOLE enchilada, ladies. Keep it up.
THese folks are so good, they don't have to show off. Tight , crisp rock and roll and great vocals! I"ve heard it a bunch of times and can't get enough!!
The Stones need to hear this so, I posted this on The Rolling Stones Official Facebook Page. They have 19.6 million Likes so you ladies will likely pick up a few more fans. :)
MonaLisa Twins Congratulations, you have just made a huge rock fan of 40 years existence cry his eyes out Is there anything you CANNOT do, you have given me my memories back with interest, how you girls are not getting singles in the UK top 40 on a regular basis God Only Knows as The Beach Boys say, please by all means carry on, you have stunned me you seriously have and in my opinion thats the hugest compliment I could possibly give you THANK YOU :) xxx
What makes this song sound so great is a beautifully gritty vocal, hard driving guitars and a strong sounding snare beat. I guess I should say something about the bass playing since bass players contributions usually go unrecognized in bands. Oh yeah....he backed up everybody's talent perfectly.
One of the things that I enjoy most viewing your videos is, you two seem to be having fun. And I always thought rock'n'roll is supposed to be fun. Keep on rockin'!
Couldn't agree more. I love the guitar-playing so much, but I especially appreciate the vocal performances of the twins, which is where I think the real magic happens. It's what gets under your skin, what seeps in through your subconscious and creates the emotional impact of the music. If you haven't listened to their version of the Hollies' classic, 'Bus Stop', I'd recommend it for the same reason. The vocals are full of colour, honed to near-perfection, as are their youthful versions of 'San Francisco' and 'California Dreaming'. Just sublime.
probably my fav early Stones song (along with "It's all Over Now) ... Great job, ladies - but what else would I expect ? You keep setting the bar higher and higher ;-D
I feel the same way...The Last Time and It's All Over Now were my favs . Those 2 songs had that country feel which paved the way for Dead Flowers and Faraway Eyes
probably my two favorites too , love both those songs ..... Me and my buddy covered Last Time , check it out if you like , it ain't too shabby - ruclips.net/video/nHUU2kjhziQ/видео.html
Gracias por todas esas canciones que forman parte de muchas generaciones en el mundo, ustedes son unas chicas muy talentosas, sigan adelante. Las felicito sinceramente
WOW this is the 1st time I have heard you do the Stone's Cover Of "The Last Time", What Awesome Vocals and Amazing Lead Guitar on this one as always Lisa!! Neal from Boston, Ma. USA :)))
great video, as always! i love this track on the album, it sounds brilliant :) i hope there will be a video for "people are strange", i'd love to see Michael and Philipp performing their solos live!
Great Job, Great Song. You guys are REALY getting good. You make it look easy and these songs are hard as heck to get everything to mesh. As a guitarist, I love seeing you Play. Keep it coming!

MLT make me feel happy😀
Great to see a younger generation enjoying the 'classics'! Good job!
Mona can sing with more grit in her voice than I can muster. Or she can sing like the sweetest songbird. The Twins are amazing talents who've put in a lot of hard work on their craft.
I just *like* these ladies.
My favorite Rolling Stones song. These two songbirds do it justice!! These 2 women are just FANTASTIC!!
Any other cover of like minded song you find a liking to?
@@vegashainning8071 They don't do a bad cover, everything they do is well rehearsed and practiced, have you heard them do anything you thought was less than good?
This will not be the Last Time I listen. Oh no! I am hooked on Mona Lisa Twins.

If you haven`t already, you should take a listen to their original songs as well. Like The Wide Wide Land. Those girls are brilliant songwriters too
You're quite right. I had previously commented to them that their song "This Boy is Mine" might be the best 1964 era Beatles song that the Beatles never wrote.

Rick Goodin Ahh, I wrote my reply to Gert, before I saw yours...LOL
Rick Goodin Yes, they could have put that one on any of the first Beatles albums, and it would have fitted right in
I have been watching these girls for 2 hours....I must say I am hooked
Me too. Then I switched over to the Beatles for 6 hours. RUclips rabbit hole.
Was one of my early MLT favorites and still is. Just a good rocker with a great beat. Nice guitar solo and backbeat and vocals are fantastic.
These sisters can "bring it" every time... all the time.... period😀
What a perfect match, Mona's vocals with Lisa's lead guitar skills. Great music!
Thanks for keeping this music alive and fresh.
Die MonaLisa Twins sind die beste Live-Band, die ich kenne.
The drummer and bass player are fantastic., All Of Them are incredible
Oh yeah! Mona's singing is so beautifully gritty and on the mark! Along with the spot on harmony singing, Lisa's guitar work is mesmerizing and thrilling. I can't sit still when listening!

It blows me away they were born in 1994 and all the music they play and love is from the 1960's and 1970s! God Bless them!
The Twins were born to rock!
Great guitars. Great drum. Great bass. Great singers. Joy.
PURE JOY!!!
You both are beautiful additions to the world through your music, spirit, and courage. Thanks so much.
LOVE this song, and Mona’s vocal are such a perfect match for it.
Beautiful !!!! Regards from Belgrade Serbia...we love you !!!!!!!

love it. dealing with a dad with dementia, your music is getting me through this. Thank tou
Excellent! That gives the Stones a run for their money! You show them how it should be played!
Mostly - they show Mick how it should be sung ;) (Though he couldn't do it this way, even if he wanted to, since he doesn't have the necessary voice.)
I am 63 years old and I love everything you girls play. Your awesome !!!!
The production values on all your stuff is just outstanding. The camera work, editing, audio recording, mixing, mastering, all top notch stuff. Along with your talent and charisma and you've got the WHOLE enchilada, ladies. Keep it up.

For me, this is one of the Stones' very best songs. And very well done by these talented musos.
I agree!
These ladies never cease to amaze me.
You just keep on kickassing the 60s the best :-) Outstanding...Love it :-)
They sure LOOK better than the Rolling Stones.
Just about anybody would look better than the Rolling Stones these days.
Very Skanky.!!
Even better than the 'Pretty Things'... 😆
Not better than 1960s stones
So good. The energy in your performances is like that of the early British Invasion. Riveting. Not enough ‘Likes’ to give you. 👏🏻
Merci les Twins c'était le premier disque des stores que j'achetais j'avais 16 ans mon groupe s'appelait "" les Zodiac's""
Great version all of you. Its hard to make a classic like this sound refreshed, but you did just that. John
