I noticed a big shift when I turned 50 that freed me of so much rumination I had about whether someone didn't like me, or did I say the wrong thing, or act the wrong way. It was absolutely magical that that veil was lifted. But I love that you mentioned that you can't do anyone harm either. I've definitely seen mean people who say something awful and just say, "well that's how I am and I don't give a ____." Be a good person. Keep your side of the street clean. Let the rest go.

I totally agree! I just turned 60 and I feel so free now. It's really liberating to not care about what other people think but that does not mean we are a 'mean' person. My mom used to say: If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing.

      Bend and stretch ,
      Reach for the stars
      There goes Jupiter
      Here comes Mars
And this was on BBC Television UK !965 or maybe the 1970’s
      I am a senior of 81yrs now
      So I love an appreciate

I grew up being told that I had to be nice to people or they wouldn't like me. In trying to please everyone else, I lost the person I really was, always trying to emulate someone who seemed to have it all together. I went through two abusive marriages and divorces, and have been on my own for more than 30 years. Your videos have helped me A LOT in recapturing who I really am. Great video Sandra I reached this stage of not caring what people think probably when I turned 28 I am 73 years young now . I don’t hurt anyone or insult anyone, I am very careful of others feelings. I just turned deaf ear on what people think of me. All my life I like classy fashion, colorful clothes, high heels & wearing makeup not to forget long hair 2 inches past my shoulder . I heard this so many times aren’t you old for long hair??? Women in your age should not wear red, OMG how you walk in these high heels, you are old you can fall & break your neck🙀 You still dye your hair, what is wrong in grey natural looking hair & the list of comments goes on. In the beginning I used to explain why I color my hair because grey wash me out, why I hate black & dark clothes they don’t go with my skin tone etc…. Then I stopped explaining , when I hear one of these comments my answer is yes I am still wearing high heels I love them & no I am not worried of falling & breaking my neck it is my neck after all.. This is me take me the way I am or leave me alone 😃

If others like it wonderful if not then don't keep looking. THAT made me look worn out, just beat . Do now thats over and now, now i enjoy the freedom of no makeup snd watering my plants in the yard in clothes i jump into. About age 30 I stopped caring what others thought or said about me. A sister in law and her family accused me of having affairs when in reality I was working 3 jobs as a nurse to support my two children whose irresponsible father was present but not contributing to the family finances.

I didn’t even want the drs and nurses seeing me look like this , listening to you I realize how silly that it all is . I’m 71 yo why should I have anxiety over my looks when I’ll. Thanks for a great video.

So inspiring for me today Sandra you are a joy to listen to and learn from … I’m almost 70 and so low… you absolutely lifted me … now to get a grip, I’m very fit but need to embrace, for example, the crinkly skin, dress colourfully and not care what anyone else thinks… pretty tricky though 😂 thank you Sandra❤

Everytime I watch your videos, I just want to thank you so much. Your words of wisdom resonate and mean so much. I'm 60 and feel like my feelings are finally changing after years of being a chronic over thinker, worrier of what people think, way too sensitive and too much of a people pleaser. I'm now just starting to accept myself and feel so grateful for all I have at this stage. Your videos inspire me to embrace the years ahead rather than fear them 💖 xx

Thank you lovely Sandra and your sweet furbaby Mooshi 🧡🐾🐾🧡 for today's Vlog - wonderful. I'm just about ten years behind you, and I try to always remember what Eleanor Roosevelt said ... what other people think of me is not my business. Now, I'm going to also remember what you said ... who cares. I love you and this community.

When we were Young we seemed to be in competition with one another so we look for approval, you knew other women would judge what you're wearing, as you get older you really don't care, as you get older you become invisible to the younger generation ,so there is that. I don't give it any thought what people think one way or the other, have a wonderful day rain or shine, no rain here in Jacksonville

Sandra, I have always been attracted to and curious about the uniqueness of others... Different ages, cultures, ways of looking at the world. I've discovered that people respond to my interest in them by being interested in me. It's a two-way street. No need to try to impress or please or judge. When I'm just being me, they are free to do the same and a respectful friendship can develop. I learned this lesson pretty early in life, but it's never too late. True freedom!

Oh Sandra, your talk about not caring what others think is so powerful! The main obstacle I give myself in life is comparing myself to others and caring too much what they think. I realise it is a waste of energy but I struggle to let go of it! I need to listen to this on repeat 😆 thank you for your wisdom and for being authentically you, and I totally agree with you (as an actress and a person) that it would be lovely if actresses and others allowed themselves to age naturally, thereby keeping their uniqueness 💕

I’m still working on exposing my arms. I also have imperfect looking thighs with cellulite and last year gained a belly I’ve never had before. I do plan to loose that, but the saggy arms and cellulite thighs I want to be rid of my horrible thoughts about them. I do love and appreciate my miracle body. It’s been through so much and the pain isn’t easy living with either, but a grateful true survivor of so much with many miracles. Like yourself I’m disappointed in Hollywood lately for many reasons. I adore and appreciate you greatly. Hugs of love to you, Sandra. 💕

I think that experiencing concern over others' opinions of ourselves allows us to reach a point of 'not caring'. It's a process. I think when you say 'I don't care', Sandra, a person needs to reach that stage in their life to really understand that. It's like you've earned it. I get it! Love it! Thank you and adorable Mr. M!!🧡💃😘
