Replaced the S&B dry filter on my 2016 Denali HD at 17,000 miles after the first one was covered in dirt without the optional air box bottom plug in from S&B.
That's a good sign , that filter is working good stopping all that from being sucked into your engine 17 thousand miles like 27 thousand km that's not bad really considering that was a dry filter the oiled filters last longer.

What’s wrong with the S&B filter? Why would you want to switch to the PowerCore? I run the S&B dry filters on my truck and get about 20,000 miles out of them. Could probably go longer.
have you did a search on box plug? i can’t find one not even on s&b website unless it’s called something else. like to know a link or something thanks.

oiled filters more maintenance and if you don’t spread evenly could mess up maf sensor with excess in tubing.

For that to go 17k is crazy your supposed to replace them every 6-12k miles
Did the bottom plug come with the CAI?
