Just purchased a 2011 Subaru Forester and am doing much of the servicing needs. Stumbled upon your video and you made it fun, appreciate that. Adds some personality while getting the help I wanted.... Thanks much
It's about time the humble Outback had a starring role. For too long it has play the Bert to the Legacys Ernie. The Ringo to the WRXs Paul or John. The Luigi to the Levorgs Mario.
Love the H6. Still drive one at 30. I've owned it since new back in 2008 Reason why the transmission doesn't drop so much oil is because the Torque Converter holds a lot of oil. Its time consuming turning the car over and going through the gears to get as much oil as you can out of there.. Nice vid mate. You're a Pissa
Your videos are back to the quality banter it had at the start. Was losing abit of momentum in the last few episodes, but its back to the winning formula. Keep it up. Love it.
Just be aware 5EAT transmissions are fussy on fluid unlike the 4EAT (might have been why it was slipping, or low - check level while car is *RUNNING* and take note if hot or cold), use full synthetic ATF for all Subaru autos in Australia because of our mostly hot conditions (heat kills transmissions, synthetics survive longer in the heat) and if you want a full fluid change crack the radiator coolant lines and start the car and get it to pump out the old dirty fluid, fill and repeat until red and clean As for your oil leaks all Subarus have PVC / Piston inspection plates, 100 times more likely there leaking rather than the rear main seal. If your coolant looks anything other than bright green or your not sure when it was changed last its time to change it on your Subaru Head gaskets if your running a boxer non turbo 4 cyl replace them with the factory *TURBO* head gaskets - they fix any head gasket issues permanently provided your head/block is not warped
Know a guy who blew a hole in his v8 crank case and managed to drive 40km home, replaced the crank case, fill it with oil and kept driving. he swears that low friction stuff is the reason he made it.
Hey Intake! I have the same car, but with the double sunroof! I like your stupidity... or the way you present it. :D I was laughing my lungs off! God deam that beer... always gets in the way! Try to spill one in the engine fill hole whille changing the oil(just kinding pls don't do it! :D:D). Who know's it might beat the brz?! Oh... and you must check the level of the transmission oil while running and hot. Great video! Love ya!
But oh how they are not the same. 1 example; a 2005 wrx sedan, you have to unbolt and take the whole back seat out to get to the fuel pump system. That's just one example of a few quirky differences.
Yeah, neither. This is some valve that the h6 has and it clogs up and ticks. I don't know what it is but when I had it checked checked they were happy to leave the thing as is.
Where’d you get the grill from? And since when did the h6 have the two tone paint like my 2.5?? I thought they only came with the painted outback kit. Also is Asahi a Intake approved watching beer?
Intake! And it fit straight on?? I don’t know if the h6 grill bolts on the same as the 2.5 but there’s this rivet sort of thing that I can’t seem to get off to swap the grill. Ahhhh true true. Perfect as last night was a 6 beer job
Will Ross yes. It bolts straight on. The h6 and 2.5 grills are identical. One just has an emblem on it that can be removed. Just remember, installation is the reverse of removal
The correct torque spec for an oil filter is three Ugga Dugga’s with the impact wrench. Gotta make sure it’s never coming off again.
Ashley Simpson only if your selling the car 😉😁

Excellent beer choice mate! I love Sapporo! Cheers!
After a very shitty monday, this helps. A lot.
Tristan Larsen after a very busy Tuesday. The beer I have is helping out here at Intake! HQ.
Intake! I cant have beer. Yet.
"You deserve one too, go grab yourself a beer" - Already way ahead of you. Also, the pumping of the ATF should have been a Sidekick Nick job!
Mitchell Denham poor old Sidekick Nick has a bit on his plate at the moment. But he will return shortly!
Loving that beer tally mate 🔥🔥
Good timing, just sat down and cracked a beer ;)
Any time with a beer is a good time!
Know a guy who blew a hole in his v8 crank case and managed to drive 40km home, replaced the crank case, fill it with oil and kept driving. he swears that low friction stuff is the reason he made it.

2006 subie sti retired diyer 69 years old ex lineman
Why do you sound like the stone guy in Thor Ragnarok?
You are the second person to say that.
i love your cars
It's a nice change. Most people just love my body.
Intake! also like your ass
But oh how they are not the same. 1 example; a 2005 wrx sedan, you have to unbolt and take the whole back seat out to get to the fuel pump system. That's just one example of a few quirky differences.
Can you do big size tshirts? 5xl
We will have to ask our supplier.
love seeing the notification!! are we going to see the 300zx lose to the wrx 911 aswell?
Ben Callahan everything will lose to the WRX 911. It's inevitable.
Can you please make more videos for us Subie owners lol this is grouse
You big tease!!! I thought that beer was a goner sitting on the intake on start up.
I haven't had a good spill for a while. It's bound to happen sooner or later.
I bet everyone is waiting for it since you said something about spilling
You should have people guess on the channel of how many episodes you can go with out spilling a beer and the winner gets some stickers
Wouldn't a red oil filter help to lubricant the engine faster?
Yes it would and we thought a out that. But it was decided that blue filter would keep the oil cooler!
Swag
what's that ticking noise from the engine? lifters or rod knock
Yeah, neither. This is some valve that the h6 has and it clogs up and ticks. I don't know what it is but when I had it checked checked they were happy to leave the thing as is.
Anything
axissunsoar07 now, here is the comment of the day.
Any guide how to change injectors at Impreza 2.0D?
Nope, but installation is always the reverse of removal!
Intake! Oh, you dont say xd
Same as this car as subarus are all the same
Do you know if Nulon supply blinker fluid for the BMW you have?
We would have to ask @Nulon
Rain effect but nothing gets wet 😂
Ceramic coat the world.
Intake! Shirts too?
Yep, they are coming! As soon as we work out the pricing!
Intake! Yeah alright I make sure I grab a shirt then
Do you even nulon?
Where’d you get the grill from? And since when did the h6 have the two tone paint like my 2.5?? I thought they only came with the painted outback kit. Also is Asahi a Intake approved watching beer?
The grill is from a 2002 liberty RX and we think the H6 had two tone in the non limited or heritage model. Yes. Asahi is acceptable Brother?

Nulon is the cheapest worst oil you can use if you care about your car. Castol edge is the best
Oh yeah? Prove it.
Super Cereal. If you can prove that Nulon is the worst and Castrol Edge is the best, chuck out the rest. I will change oil brands.
@@Intaketv He never proved it
You should ALWAYS fill the oil filter with Oil before putting it on. Bottom End will shit it's self not doing so
I love Australians lol 😂 there like the kooler British people or Americans who don’t run around killing people.
*They're👌
