- Intake! S1E12 - How to piss the factory air box right off
Today on Project Z!
Because we have had precisely 9753 comments telling us to piss the factory airbox in out 300zx right off, today we are. We have purchased a HKS style intake system to match our intercooler system and we are comparing the filters to the genuine HKS filter we have on hand and installing it in the car!
We also have some hella tone horns to install in the Outback, because it wouldn't be a proper Subaru race car without them!

Craig Thomson you're right, that doesn't sound very pleasent.
You can get a mounting bracket that puts them out farther apart from the center and is probably much easier to install.

i don't think you need to include the front bar because its just another safety item and wasn't exactly envisioned when you set out to do this project.
I think to think that it's a replacement for a broken standard part. So it gets a pass.

I actually have a flip out knife in a leather pouch, that would attach itself to me ala Crocodile Dundee. But seeing as most of our animals are protected and my Mick Dundee instincts would want to kick in 24/7, it's best I leave the knife ina safe place

Intake! Ya that could be a possibility. But usually the whining sound of a failing P/S pump would sound louder while turning.
Iv heard lots of ppl say the clutch fan can get quite loud and whiney when broken.
But I'm no mechanic so.

The front bar doesn't count as technically it puts you at a disadvantage because the missing bits from hitting the kangarillabat was weight reduction and could be the difference between 50/50 weight distribution and 51/49 weight distribution
I reckon a set of 225/45r17s would go nicely on the old Girl.
Intake! They'll work well, but the cheapest ones you can find otherwise you'll just absolutely destroy the 86
You may be the very 1st automotive youtube to fit camber arms, to reduce camber. Also if you want help on where getting a cams license and the racing kit, I can help you out. If you watched my video on how to change the 300zx air filter, you would have seen how to get that off. Would slip a bead of RTV around the MAF to seal against that highest of quality Chinese forgery's, I mean casting. and buy some ratcheting ring spanner... enough jumping on comments section?
Rings spanners are a must! It's time to go shopping.
So worth it. make sure you get the offset head with reversible ratchet.

i have truck horns on the outback ..its certainly wakes people up ... hella tones back up for sale and extra 100 bux will get you truck horns ... money well spent for blowing the BRZ out the way
