That bore gauge looks identical to the one I use. Love this build, always wanted to strike a 305 but everybody always talks trash and money has never allowed. One of these days I’ll do it in spite of everyone’s opinion. Hope it makes good power. If it does I’ll definitely have to do it some time!

I've never been one to listen to other people. Just ask my mom. I never listened to her either.

Great video, I myself dont have any fancy dial bore gauges and have only used the Plasi-gauge method. Using a good machinist makes this part of it alot easier. I love the look of this 339, the steel crank and forged rods are going to look so good under those splayed caps. If you are willing to take old squeaky to Paducah KY im sure that @THEJAMESANDJAMESSHOW will set you up on the rollers and get you some dyno time. Good luck with the build.

I'd love to make it over there sometime and test this thing out. I need to do that with the 454 that's in it now.

I have a 76 GMC Sierra 350 sb having an issue with starting no gas then it will run just fine after some cussing to damn poor for a mechanic . Lol should i just replace the fuel pump and see if that fixes it

That's a hard one to diagnose without being there. Make sure the choke is working correctly.

Can you get a .001 under rear main bearing? May be an easy way to get it where you want it. Also, have you seen any change in measurements with using the oil pump stud? I've heard of them threading into the back of the bearing, but to be honest I've never used a stud there before.

I probably could get a .001 bearing, but I'm not to concerned about that. I've checked the stud to make sure it's not hitting the bearing.

    I’d say 375hp at most

What is your compression height on your piston.

It's at zero deck height. ruclips.net/video/XOb8JO4W7mQ/видео.html
