I have a 1978 camaro with a 305. My car passes smog. If i change out the cam to get one like the one you put on will it then not pass smog? Love the sound.

Just bought my buddy’s 70 Camaro 350 small block 5.7L and ran into my fuel pump giving out. As I’m looking through your video I noticed there’s a bolt on the side but the negative cable that goes to the battery is connected to that bolt and is def leaking. Help? Where should I move that cable to? 😮

I just found that wire and I was thinking the prior owner snapped off the housing to a bulb etc. and was "Googling" 1985 GMC C15 ashtray bulb then your video popped up. I never knew they had that type of wiring in trucks back when I was 18. 😂

Well......I took your advice...and grabbed my 7/16 and an 11mm just in case.....Crawled in there....to only discover ,that it is a 14MM Socket that you need, to remove the Fuel Pump Bolts! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I've had my 305 on the stand For over a week now and I was contemplating changing a rear main on it. After seeing this video I am going to put this on my checklist. Thank you for the video.

My son has a 86 Monte SS he wants to keep stock looking, but installing a 350 4-bolt main from the 74 era. The right exhaust manifold is odd with a bolts pattern at the rear that the newer heads are not drilled a tapped for. This interferes with the dipstick tube location. If we change heads, it will be the new small valve 305cu in. I am confused after 40 years as ASE Master fixing vehicles but not the swapping world. The 305 can make outstanding power but I takes a plan and a number of parts. These are not boat anchors! Comments? Thanks.

The tip doesn't work for me. I think it bottoms out and I don't think it goes through unless is drill it out. Motor is out of a 89 suburban from what I was told so maybe they changed it

What gaskets are these? Are they anything special or just over the counter gaskets?

Just think that the 4.8 and 5.3 ls are based on the 305 engine. In fact all sb2"s are derived from the same concept of bringing the bore closer to the stroke creates more stability. Performance wise can potentially out perform the 350 and ultimately led to its demise into the ls era. Even the 5.7 ls engine wasn't a 350 4 inch bore motor. So technically the 305 can be modified into ls standards. A 350 can also but it will be less stable in which launched the 6.0 bringing the crank stroke up closer to the bore. All manufacturers pursued this route.
