My husband is practically anti-gift bag because he likes the satisfaction of unwrapping gifts. Pulling something out of a bag is just not the same experience.
I mean, gift bags can be reused more than wrapping paper and wrapping paper is a nightmare to recycle... having said that I LOVE wrapped gifts, probably like the wrapping more than the gift itself tbh and like, it's so satisfying to unwrap a present when the paper doesn't rio
Just my two cents... I recently went to my niece's birthday party and we had assembled the play station so she could play right away. It was large and awkward to wrap. I gave up on "pretty" and just used a bunch of pieces of paper to cover it, which looked kind of cool. But the secret? I also individually wrapped every tool and small piece. Believe me when I say she was so happy and thought she got "so many" presents. The small pieces were also wrapped with Frankenstein taped paper. So it took her a while to open it all. Let's be real, when it comes to a present, the best part is unwrapping it.
This is such a great hack & love that it’s not a super long video where you literally have to skip through everything just to find that ONE spot where you finally get to see how it’s done haha. Definitely going to save this & come back to it when I start my wrapping party 😂 thank you for sharing your awesome tricks with us!
When I am out of tape but, still have ribbon, I turn the gift into a big candy 🍬 and just put ribbon on it's sides or on top. Enjoyed this one, thank you for new ways to warp gifts.
Perfect timing!! I’m wrapping the rest of my gifts now! I have two of those wrapping organiser bags, labelled of course. One is Christmas, the other for bdays, house warming, baby showers etc. They are so worth it and fit perfectly under my guest bed! You’re a genius, no marketing needed love!
Great video, I volunteer at a small bookshop and we always give little extra attention to our wrapping. So I tried it out. And around 5:26 (when you fold the long side before the 2nd short side) I discovered if you first fold short sides and the long last with an little extra fold you end up with a little pocket space to put some extra decoration like dried flowers or a card ;)
This video got me all excited for wrapping, but I don’t have anything to wrap yet! Can’t wait to try all these ways! I have to look into that cutter too!
I love putting the wrapping paper at an angle to the gift! I find it creates a much more interesting visual to have the paper's pattern running at an angle instead of straight up and down.
Hi Kallie, where do you get your gift wrap? I have trouble finding nice, thick gift wrap. I recently found your channel and am so thankful for your practical advice and positive messages. I really appreciated that you explained how to size the paper because many videos skip that part. Thank you for the gadgets, too! I ordered some for me and for gifts for my family!
This is an amazing video! As much as I'm trying to go for exriences rather than physical gifts, I have to say that I do love to gift wrapping & is therapeutic to me... I don't know what I'll be doing because I also cut on the amount of people on my Christmas list... I guess I can do some nice inexpensive gifts to go with the experience that I will be gifting.😉
Ooh, great idea! Like a mini gift bag or something that goes with the experience! I need to think up experience gifts for our kids. Too much stuff in our house already. They are looking forward to the hot cocoa station we've done the last 2 years
My favorite hack is pretty basic. That is, use a large flat solid surface, and not the floor! Table a large countertop workbench something like that. Everything is more precise and comes out neater when you do it this way.
Great wrapping skills ! The only thing about not using tape is , that the nosy people in our families looking to unwrap to see what they recived for Xmas makes it much easier !
Very cool hacks. I do have a tote for all my Xmas wrapping but it does not fit the biggie rolls. So if any of your viewers are reading this, invest in a really nice sturdy longer wrapping station tote bag. You will thank me later, trust! Thank you for sharing
These are really cool and ingenious. I tend to just place things in gift bags so that the gift bags can be reused over and over again. Or I use colorful Flyers with which I can use these wrapping tips.
Thank you for introducing me to some new technics. I will definitely incorporate some of your ideas (especially the bag) into my usual go to wrappings. my go to
I’m struggling for words!! Omg!! Not to brag, but I fancy myself a bit of a wrapping ninja. I always go all out with handmade bows, lots of ribbon, name tags made from paint sample squares in pretty colors, and *crisp* corners. Irregular objects can be tricky, but that’s why I tend to hang onto shipping boxes and even just everyday stuff from the store that comes in various sizes of boxes (especially many small ones, my favorite being boxes from bar soap). This video though!! Wow!! I have really been wanting to up my game (chasing that crafter’s dragon, always learning new skills). I am both very humbled and very excited to try these techniques. I have some old newspaper (usually used when I need to use the hot glue gun or paint things). I’m going to do a few rounds with those so I don’t waste any actual wrapping paper. I’m dying to try these!!!!!!!!
Super...excited to try out as I wrap gifts vs using bags! Question: Have you tried wrapping an oblong box? Of course I will try, but wonder. It is longer than the width of the paper & even on an angle, it looks doubtful. Thanks for sharing your finds! 😊
I needed to seeee this. I stopped wrapping because I would create such a mess. From the jagged edges, to having extra paper I need to cut off right as I’m folding 😂 🤦♀️ basically I was told I have two left hands 🙌 & I use wayyy to much tape. I try to cover up uneven parts by adding the bow & placing stickers all over it. 🙃 I’m going to have to take a look over the part here you make the bag because you can save $10-20 right there by making wrapping paper bags! Genius 😉 by the way it normally takes me at least an hour to wrap & another 10 mins to clean up the mess. Definitely getting that organizer! 👍🏻
I love this so much. You definitely topped your older video which I saved and refer back to every single birthday, xmas because no amount of coffee keeps my eyes from blearinng over amidst a gift wrapping slog..
I learned how to wrap this way (at an angle) as a dental assistant. We wrap the cassettes (that hold dental instruments) with blue autoclave paper, except we do use a piece of tape. Funny though that I never thought to wrap presents this way!
I buy a giant roll of brown paper wrapping paper and use that year round for all presents. I buy 1 roll of Christmas wrapping paper and just use that for Santa gifts.
I can hardly wait to get the table clamps!! Brilliant invention. To cut my paper I've always butted up a yard stick to the paper tube (of course, laying down on a level surface) then I easily and accurately tear off the amount needed. I also have a 48" stick for those extra long tubes. 😁
This actually uses more paper than traditional “US” wrapping. However, I love the way this allows the paper to crease naturally. The traditional method always makes it harder to get the folds just right. The problem I’m finding is how to wrap a larger gift. With my rectangular gift laying the same direction as yours on the paper, my box takes well over half the width of the paper. So using enough for completely around once with a couple extra inches isn’t enough even before cutting it in half to make the square. Suggestions?
*OMG!!!! I'm definitely going to try the giftbag one at some point. I feel like it'd be a nice touch for whatever I'm selling. I'll at least do it for my boyfriend's presents :)*
Love this video! Got my wrapping paper organizer (looks like yours) with my Kohls cash after Black Friday. They were on clearance because it was late Christmas season 😊
I much prefer wrapping to gift bags. Everyone does gift bags of late, and I like the whimsical fun wrapping brings.

I prefer gift bags 🛍️

Roller cutter!! Great idea.

Girl, you made a present envelope! Genius!
Prefect timing. I just started wrapping gifts today.

How did I ever live without this? Honest... BRILLIANT ❤
I'm definitely going to try that no tape method. So cool!
Wow, I wrapped my gifts today and your hacks were AMAZING! Thank you!!
That gift bag idea is stupendous! It’s a great way for us to use up our wrapping paper

The gift bag hack 🤯🤯🤯

Omg that gift bag hack 😍
Haha right?!! So good!
These are so great! You’re genius with these hacks
I love that white tree paper! It's so cute!!
No tape! Makimg your own bag. Amazing!
I love putting the wrapping paper at an angle to the gift! I find it creates a much more interesting visual to have the paper's pattern running at an angle instead of straight up and down.

The gift wrap organizer: And, when it's full, stop buying the sale/discounted wraps and bows after the holiday season!
My favorite hack is pretty basic. That is, use a large flat solid surface, and not the floor! Table a large countertop workbench something like that. Everything is more precise and comes out neater when you do it this way.
Our ping pong table works great!
I wrap on my ironing board so at least that thing gets used once a year!
Great wrapping skills ! The only thing about not using tape is , that the nosy people in our families looking to unwrap to see what they recived for Xmas makes it much easier !
LOL aww
Add a couple of pieces of tape for the nosy! LOL! 😉
I was hoping you'd come out with an updated video on wrapping! This was so helpful! 💖💖💖
Doesn't the rotary cutter scratch your table? It didn't look like you were using a cutting mat.

The gift bag from wrapping paper is amazing.
Thank you for introducing me to some new technics. I will definitely incorporate some of your ideas (especially the bag) into my usual go to wrappings. my go to
AWESOME video, Kallie ! The wrapped gifts look BEAUTIFUL! AND...OLIVE!😀
I love your gift wrapping hacks. I actually use the bag hack from your previous video to make bags for my homemade soap.
Omg that's so cool!!! Thank you!

I love the tape-free hack, which is new to me, but am curious as to what the method is that used to take you much longer and used more paper
Thank You for sharing. Good Tips. Your video are awesome 👌
