Your video doesn't say what to do with the bobbin thread...do you keep it in when you sew a button on or do you take it out

Keep it in. Or your button will pull off of the fabric!

How do you change the light on this machine?

If the width is not correct and you change it, does the needle move over so you can get the correct width?
