Thaaaaank you for saving my life😁 two years ago a head injury took 40 years of sewing knowledge and flushed it so I've been reteaching myself and am now graduating to using a hole foot. Your's is the clearest tutorial for me by far. Appreciate this. 👍✌🤟👏👏😁💜
Just bought my machine 2 hours ago. So excited. Sewing buttonholes has airways been a nightmare for me. Watching this made my day. Thank you so much!!!!
Thanks for the video. I just recently bought one of these sewing machines ( this same model, the 4452) and did not know how to use the button hole feature. The part where you said what stitch width to use was very helpful to me. Again, thank you for your video.
I really appreciate the tutorials you've made for this machine. I've gotten perfect button holes on thin cotton fabric, but zero success on anything thicker. What should I adjust?
I was having this problem too because the buttonhole lever wouldn't stay back when I pushed it. I thought it'd clicked into place when I first pulled it down but it turns out I had to pull even harder to get it down all the way. Was able to successfully push it back after that and it works now!
TY so much for sharing this video. I have a question though. If I want to go over the buttonhole area twice to reinforce it, would I be able to do so with this machine. Also, I have a little trouble with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and, need to know whether the dials and buttons on this machine are easy or hard to "operate." I appreciate your help and advice.
I would just use a narrow zigzag stitch to reinforce as opposed to trying to line up the same exact path as the previous buttonhole. I have De Quervain's tenosynovitis and I don’t have a problem moving the dials at all.
@@armilton01 Thank you so much for your advice. I wound up getting this machine and, as you, I have no trouble operating the dials and other things on it. I hope you're doing well, though. I've never heard of the condition you mentioned. 🙏❣🙏
@@curtriceennis2924 you are most welcome! It’s similar to carpal tunnel but only affects the thumb as opposed to other fingers. The wrist is still affected. For me, I would have shooting pains going up my arm from my thumb but cortisone shots helped tremendously. With sewing, I still have to be very careful and not over do it. I hope you are well also. Thanks for your prayers!
@@armilton01 You are most welcome, too. 😻🙏🥰I can say I know what kind of pain you're going through cause I have DDD, Degenerative Disc Disease, myself. I have constant pain in my back, neck, hips, legs, knees ... almost all over. But, I'm okay and can thankfully kinda manage the pain with meds. I do hope you are feeling better with your condition, though ... pain(s) ain't NO kind of fun !!!
I have the 44s machine which looks like that heavy duty model and have not used it yet. I also have the model 2277 Tradition machine which I ordered first and is having a bobbin problem with it and can't get the lower thread to come up and it cost me more than the second machine.
This was EXACTLY what I needed. The company’s website & manual were not nearly as helpful as this video. Thank you 😊

Maybe you need a thicker needle, thicker thread and slightly higher tension, I think that’s it
Is there a way to widen the middle cutting channel? Or how to cut without cutting the stitches? Thanks.
Plz tell me singer HD 4423 Or janome HD 3000 which one is better sewing machine, no bought issue.
Excellent tutorial 👌 👍 👏 thank you
Where can I buy the 1 step buttonhole foot that works with the Singer Heavy Duty?
My machine is sewing just one clump of thread! I followed all instructions :'(
Mines too😔
Mine was doing it too, my lever « push » was’n completly down, i think it works now 😃😁🥳
Hi I’m trying to use the buttonhole foot but my material won’t move. I’m just getting a clump of thread. Any suggestions

I took all these steps and my fabric did not move.
Was it very thin material? You may need to add a stabilizer.

I get a small buttonhole no matter what size button I put in. I need a 1"
This machine does not make an even buttonhole and half of the time it doesn't work.
I make buttonholes all the time with no problems
Mine wont do that.. it just does one straight line.
Mine too! One really thick straight line,
Did you put length on 6?
Hello, I don't know English, and you only show the sewing part. I don't know where you put your hand while sewing, I didn't learn.
