I am a middle aged man and beginning my skin care journey has given me a new lease on life, lol. Just doing a light scrub followed by steam and a scent free moisturizer before and after bed has made massive improvements to my under-eye appearance and it shows in my attitude during my day. Feeling pleasant adds a lot someone’s personality. I hope a lot of people learn the importance of self preservation. We only get one ticket to this ride called life.
2:57 the actual start of 5 mistakes of applying toner.. If you are not a fan of long introductions.
Edit: You are all welcome 😊

I use the AC Collection Calming Liquid Mild from Cosrx and I feel that it exfoliates without drying out, it leaves me with a beautiful glow and the texture of my skin has improved a lot, it is my favorite. 💖

My holy grail for very sensitive, dry & combo skin:
Glow Recipe Watermelon glow pha + bha pore tight Toner.
Laneige cream skin Toner & Moisturizer.
Thumbs up Dr. Ingky I'm learning a lot ,new subscriber here 💕
Basically The Body Shop's toners are doing everything wrong then - added heavy fragrance, usually contain alcohol. I ever used their toner before and broke me out so badly.
Youre stupid if You think that a product is shit just because of alcohol and fragrance. It all comes down to formulation, you could have clean ingredients and still get irritation from a product. You sound like a dumbass cult hyram Stan who has no idea what you’re talking about lol
i started using one just 2 days ago and my face is fuck*d
@@bil2562 so stop using it, I’m just saying that any ingredient can irritate your skin and you shouldn’t go out of your way to avoid fragrance or alcohol if the product works for you and you’re not sensitive to it
Their toner used to be good. I used to wear the seaweed range. And i think they changed the formulation and my skin burns! It stings so bad that only being in air-conditioned room that my skin can calm down. What a shame..
a lot of high quality skin care with reasonable price out there, i dont know why people still care about body shop like it's early 2000
I use Thayers rose petal alcohol free toner for my astringent toner with a cotton pad, then Im from's Rice Toner with my hands, and I also use Thayers Milky toner as well in my routine. The last 2 are hydrating toners, but the Thayers is more viscous. Im thinking of trying Pat Mcgraths rose toner as well.
For my skincare routine, I have use a cleanser for sensitive skin and then I apply the Supertone toner by E.L.F.. It is the first and only toner I have ever used. I follow my toner with my eye cream and nighttime moisturizer. In the morning, I gently cleanse my skin with garnier micellar water on a cotton pad and follow it with a hydrating "jelly mist" toner by Julep; my eye cream and my day cream.
Great video, much to learn. I do not use toner, I use cleanser: either aleppo soap or rosewater with hamamelis water and then put on cream or oil (in the evenings).
Well noted with many thanks firstly.
I'm using April Skin Rice Toner without cotton pad. I don't use cotton pad bcoz I don't feel safe with cotton pad for some kinds of infections.
Currently using Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner which have both hydration and exfoliation properties!
Thanks so much for this help ❤ ! Any advice for sensitive dry skin and a hydrating toner ?!
Hi… do you have a video about how to treat stretch marks? Also, do you have any video about cleansers… thank you! I’ve enjoyed your video so much… very informative yet easy to understand. Great work doc! Thank you again! 😁
This is educating; thanks once again
I use any where from 2 to 4 different toners it all depends on what my skin needs because use serums and ampoules which work better on a damp surface. On my exfoliating days I use Wishtrend Mandelic Acid with a thin sponge Like Pad and after about 1-2 minutes or when my face is no longer wet I will then use my hands to pat on cica care purifying toner but its so thin and it drys quickly but I love love the Klairs supple preparation unscented toner which prepares my skin for next items in my skin routine which may or may not include my Hadalabo hyaluronic toner which they call a lotion but it's really a toner but it adds a plumping feel to my skin before I put on moisturizer and sunscreen.
I use the Glow Recipe AHA/BHA watermelon exfoliating hydrating toner. Ive used many, but this one legitimately does both and is great for my sensitive dry skin.
Me too! I LOVE it.
Is it a home made toner?
@@relatables1668 its made by the brand Glow Recipe
Thanks for sharing!!
@@relatables1668 it’s company made😀
Hi dr. Please review ‘one thing’ products. Is it good for skin ? Thank you so much for educating us on skincare products ❤
I use witch-hazel on a cotton pad to cleanse my skin. It's very gentle and it's 100% natural. I have sensitive dry skin and this product works wonderfully. I use T.N. Dickinson's witch hazel. I add a bit of essential peppermint oil to make it more refreshing. After, while my skin is still moist i apply a hyaluronic acid serum and rub that in with my fingers. Then i apply a hyaluronic acid moisturizer. I like to add a bit of essential peppermint oil to that also . Everything i use to cleanse and moisturize my face is unscented.
I just use witch hazel as a toner with a cotton pad… seems fine to me. I follow with a light moisturizer
Hi. Hope you could also give explanations on dark underarms. Causes and prevent plus treatments. Thank you
Your videos are so informative thank you
This is a great help, thank you..
Currently I am using Fraijour Original Herb Wormwood Calming Toner...it make my skin exfoliate and hydrated.
Have you tried or used the Sukoyaka Suhada Urea Moisturizing toner before ? This is on my list of toner to try because I believe that is one toner that is both moisturizing and offers nature exfoliation but can be used daily (also without a cotton pad). Would that be something you would approve ?!
You probably tried it already but i genuinely think it's one of the best toners out there for hydration and (as a result) skin barrier health. It's so gentle and light and has one of the best skincare ingredients urea at a good amount in a watery texture. I've gone through many toners and there really aren't many that does hydration right like that.
My toner is using Pixi Glow or AHA. BHA. PHA for exfoliating and rice toner for hydration before serum and moisturizer...
Hi dr I'm from Indonesia .just found out this channel and I love it... I'm currently using Madagascar skin 1004 and some by mi toner
Jumiso 5% AHA glycolic and lactic acid is best for exfoliate hydrating and brighten my skin..for sensitive skin I don't recommend use on daily. After this toner I use cerva PM moisturizer..and it come with great result
I use toner without knowing if I really need it or how much it is actually helping. It just adds to the ritual of skincare and the sensorial experience. I'm using one with salycilic acid now. During the cold weather I'll try an hydrating one.
If your skin is more oily, can use salicylic acid. If dry can use more hydrating wan
It also removes the hard water film after cleansing to help your products absorb better and work more effectively. My fav is rose water.
the toner i am currently using is benton aloe bha skin toner and dunno if i really understand the ingredients of this toner, but it should do both - hydration and exfoliation..
I like origins united state tonic (it contains alcohol but it seems to even out discoloration with regular use) and cosrx propolis toner, it's hydrating without heavy scent
I use Oxecure Toner! ♥️ Really effective for my skin ♥️
Hi, Dr did you heard in Malaysia a brand call Ruby cell? Can you share us some knowledge regarding stem cell products? Is this good for our skin? I really curious point of view from a doctor. Wish you can make a video regarding stem cell skin care. Thanks
I like toner made of marshmallow root tea, green tea and vegetable glycerine. Very easy to make. Makes my skin tingle and tighten a bit.
I use hada labo gold colour one. It works for me. I use it with sunscreen only in the morning. it is so hydrated and i don need any moisturizer.
Thank you Dr. Ingky 😊
Benton Deep Green Tea Toner! It is light and hydrating enriched with green tea!
Dr. Ingky, I am currently using Clinique no. 2 toner since I have combination skin (oily/normal). Can you provide advice on how I do my skin care routine:
Morning:
Facial cleanser (Clinique Mild)
Toner (Clinique 2)
Essence (Fresh Kombucha Essence)
Serum (Inkey List Vitamin C serum)
Moisturizer (Clinique Moisturizing Gel)
Sunscreen
My nighttime routine would be the same except I use a retinol serum instead of Vit C and no sunscreen
Thank you so much for this information!!
Glad it was helpful!
Super happy to have found this channel. So much education skin care.
I use an exfoliating toner that also hydrates. it is the Bioré Hydration and Glow, it is soooooo good I have psoriasis, oily and senstive textured skin and it makes it so smooth and glowy when I use it. I don’t know if it is available outside of France tho.
I'm using toners from Cosmoderm.
1. Niacinamide+Salicylic acid for day
2. Vitamin E for night
Same but no vitamin E
@@ankitha8988 no the skincare set comes with a toner
I'm using 2 toners.. for daily (am & pm), using estee lauder nutritious super pomegranate lotion which is to hydrate my skin.. meanwhile my another toner which i use for twice a week only is pixy glycolic acid (to exfoliate).. has been a year since i use both & my skin has been the most amazing.. it's not about how much money we wasted but it is about what actually our skin needed. & Now i'm proud to say i'm free from large pore problems at 32 years old
Use the right toner to treat your skin
Could uh suggest the best skin care products for combination skin? Cleanser, toner, moistrizer nd sunscreen!
I am currently using the toner from Brilliant Skin Essentials Maintenance set
I use a hydrating toner by Bolero. I also love hyluronic acid, it's my favorite.
This guy is amazing ❤
I have oily skin. And i use watermelon toner by glow recipe, and i apply it without cotton pads. Is it good for my skin type and the way i apply it?

I love a good balancing water. I use one by Sulwhasoo Essential Comfort. It’s a Japanese skincare line, and is AMAZING for dry/dehydrated and sensitive skin.
Isnt sulwhasoo a korean brand

What kind of toner should i use???
I have dry skin and I always use hydrating toners, my favorite is the laneige cream skin
Thanks for sharing!!
I love Korean and Japanese skincare products, but I discovered this a few months ago and I already love it❤️❤️❤️ I have been using the rice toner until now, "thank you farmer" and I find it wonderful and the hadalabo toners and l The premium hyaluronic acid are really fantastic and make the skin shiny and hydrate a lot and the hadalabo whitening toner is delicious and brightening ❤️❤️❤️ I will definitely buy them again ❤️ hello from Italy to all of you ❤️❤️❤️
So helpful all of your videos...
Questions:
1) when to use a flower mist on your daily cleansing routine and/or use it another time in the day eg. at work when feel hot due to humidity (over morning serum, moisturizer, SPF cream) or it needs a completely clean skin to use it?
2) how often to use a facial cleanser and how to clean your face in between morning and night?
3) use facial oils for facial massage?
I use for years Weleda products and Alteya organics
Thank you 💯
35 yr old male
Clear, smooth skin.
No acne issues.
No dry issues.
I use the double cleanse method. Oil then water and that's it.
I'm no expert on toners/tonics but I've played it safe and stayed away bc I dont want to strip my skin layers or cause issues such as dryness that I dont even have.
Should I even worry about it?
About to play around with this Numbuzin Deep Sleep MASK Serum No.6 just to try something new but that's it really.
The sound effects are a riot!!!!
I started using Eucerin toner this week. Will be using Eucerin products for the first months of 2024 and if the results are good I will be using it for the rest of the year
I like using witch hazel but now I wonder if it’s hydrating or exfoliating? I’ll be removing the cotton pad and making sure I’m using a hydrating toner for my dry, sensitive winter skin.
Just wanted to share how I used my toner.
Since I have a combination skin I don’t use cleanser every morning I only wash it (since every night I usually double cleanse) and after I washed it I used toner (a mild and hydrating toner) it feels nice. Every night I stick with my usual skincare routine cleanser toner serum and etc
Hi may I ask if you use your toner everyday?
I have normal skin however i made it sensitive/dry in the late noughties/ early 2000s by using toner. In those days, the formulations were limited to harsh, exfoliating astringents. It took years to get my skin back to normal. I only discovered this year that toners have moved on amd are actually very beneficial with the new ingredients and formulations.
I have an oily sensitive skin, what toner can you suggest or recommend to me? Thank you in advance!
I just got the bequty of joseon green plum + aha bubble toner which is hydrating and exfoliating
I have combination skin, oily T-zone (but not terribly) and dry. I use La Roche Posay astringent toner couple of times a week in the morning. I put it in a spray bottle, I spray my face and gently tap it in. And sometimes, when more oily, the Paula's Choice BHA 2% with a cotton pad. In the evening, I like o use the Aveeno Soothing Toner, it is sooo gentle and hydrating (and cheap!)
hi doc. can we use two different toner? different days for hydration and exfoliation?
This is very informational. We all thought that we need toner to remove the bacteria in our face which is very wrong
Hello, I’m a dark-skinned 46-year-old female with dry skin and eczema. After my cleansing routine, I would use either Thayers Facial toner with witch hazel or Eau Roma Water from Lush cosmetics. Lush cleansing and mask products can leave residue, I thought using a toner with a cotton pad would remove the access product off my face. I need help, can you please recommend toners that are safe to use on very sensitive skin types to remove access residual product from my face safely from my skin? I’m trying to learn how to clean my face properly.
I am using son and park beauty water. But planning to switch to a milder toner because i am using twice a week a 2% BHA toner
Ur accent is so cutee....and ur vdos r sooo helpful.. Thank u soo much ❣️
My pleasure 😊
Great. Most of my thoughts match with your opinion.
I just started using Thayers witch hazel unscented toner
Hello Doctor I have been suffering from terrible whiteheads/ oily skin and blackheads on my nose. over the past few years I'm a student at the moment as well. Is there any skin care advice you could give to help me? In terms of which products to use for cleansing, Toner, Moisturizer, serum or cream? Anything that can help me please.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Hello, you might refer to this blog's top 5 toners for dry skin recommendation. skynfyx.com/post/615693bb7bb02d0034239fc7
Yes Sir. I do use hydrating toner as my skin is very dry .
You need a good hydrating moisturiser ;)
just bought beauty formula's hydrating exfoliating toner pads
So informative 🥰
💛🧡❤️By the way, I really enjoy your videos!❤️🧡💛
I'm using Neutrogena Hydro Boost Clear Lotion.
I have Cosrx AHA/BHA toner and Klairs Vitamin C toner.. I use them alternately.
I used to apply the vitamin c toner and rubbing it in using cotton pad and it damaged my skin barrier.. now i just pat it on.
Hi...please also advice when and how to use concealers...I have dark patches on tge face. Much appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you. Very helpful. I have dry skin. Please advise a good hydrating toner.
For Exfoliation I use Some by me Aha Bha miraacle toner. Is it ok?
Now, I need a hydrating toner
Awesome talk about moisturizer next! Either we really need it or not? Cause my whole life ive been using a full skincare routine including moisturizer before sunscreen... but my skin always been very problematic easily got acne, small2 bump, and just recently i stop using moisturizer, I just put essence and serum but slowly my skin is getting clearer and getting better? Im oily skin type... so kinda delima to use my moisturizer again or never
maybe the ingredients in the moisturiser is whats clogging your pores? or perhaps its too heavy for you, or maybe because now youre using essences and serums, those are targeting your concerns better. I think the weather in where you live also has a lot to do with what products to include in your skincare routine (heavier or more lightweight)
@@itsnotaliee6652 Not really also, im a very skincare junkie ive watched so many video on youtube, google search and having appointment with real dermatologist every here and there, i know what is safe and what is not for my skin, been trying so many kind of moisturizer through out my life, it does what it need to do, it does control my acne from gettin worse and what not but it doesnt help to prevent from a new one to come, until lately i feel kinda tired and givin up so i just try to put hydrating essence and calming serum and my skin is calming down... even tho i feel the need to put moisturizer to keep all the moisture but it looks like my skin is lovin it with just those 2 step...
What skincare rutin do u use ? Can u share. Bcos ive a snstve skin and acne always come out easily if i tried new skincare
@@bedkus07 hello fellow sensitive skin! Trust me, i feel your struggle... so i found and try this korean skincare line call Beauty of joseon... its the most life saving skincare i come across its very calming and helping my skin to relax and calm. I use 2 product from this line which is their Ginseng water essence (very light weight i use it as toner) and their green tea serum! Both products also help my skin with hydration thats why i stop using moisturizer so my skin wont stress so much because too much hydration but in the daytime i do use sunscreen also (just find a good hydrating sunscreen that also moisturizing) less product more effective to me... depend on your skin type also hehe
@@pisangambuk4727 ohh interesting, idk if i should try that because nowadays when I have to wear mask, my skin gets very sensitive, irritated and dry so I moisturise a lot so it doesnt dry me out when I wear mask
Can you do a review on deoproce products? I recently bought the green tea toner.
I always use a non-alcohol toner. Always the same brand. It's very mild and removes the dirt that cleansers cannot remove.
Is it Simple products?
@@zaram278cosrx AHA BHA clarifying treatment toner
Hello 👋 I actually used a toner for a sensitive skin, alcohol free, fragrance free which is a celeteque hydration toner. Is it really good if I used it on my palm??
Can you do a review on laikou products? Please 🙏🥺
I'm currently using Nivea micellair extra white toner.
I always use toner from always be pure since I have dry skin, but sometime I use ordinary glycolic acid at night for 1-2 time a week since I don't want to use clay mask.
Though it's not really a toner I had bought a Hydrosol and I've read it can be used as a toner. I am looking more for cheaper exfoliating and hydration products any other recommendations would be helpful.
Hello Doc. please review the COSRX aha/bha treatment toner and if it is advisable to use. thanks a lot.

Hi Dr, can I ask about the Neutrogena water boost toner that I bought recently was extremely fragrant, is it safe to use it? 😅
I'm combination to dry skin has been using Hada Labo hydrating lotion
What about soothing facial toner? I'm using simple brand. Is it okay to use for hydration?
My favourite toner:
AHA-BHA-PHA somebymi 30 day miracle toner
It is great for acne prone skin and is exfoliating and moisturizing but still gentle for sensitive skin and are also great for oily skin

I use my own fermented rice water after cleansing by splasing it on then apply a moisturizer. I use fermented rice water to nourish my skin. Is this OK?
Can you do a video on the steps for a skin care routine??? That will help me out. I’m having adult acne problems, and my skin routine is very basic… I’d love to know which products would work with my ever changing skin in my mid 30’s.. it’s changed drastically since my teen years. In my teen years I did not have acne problems. My 20’s was super clear to, didn’t have to use much products to keep my face clear. These days it’s been a battlefield. Pimples popping up everyday, hyperpigmentation, dry patches you name it I have it. Lol
Over 30 yrs here and I added the polyphenol in propolis 15% Ampoule to my skincare routine and it stopped my break outs
skin care steps is going by the lightest product to the heaviest. mostly people do: micellar water/cleansing oil (depends) - facial wash - toner (depends) - essence (depends) - serum (depends) - moisturizer (depends) - sunscreen
why i said depends? because it depends if you need it or not. and why moisturizer 'depends'? because i don't really like it and without even moisturizer, my face is okay already
@@thiya4627 thank you zha 🙏🏽 do you have any recommendations on products?? I’ve been lost in the search world on them. Lol
What can you suggest with my oily face, like what kind of toner, serum, essence, cream should I use
I use a moisturizing cleanser by cerave that doesn't foam, I have the foaming kind that I use when I shower. And I have moisturizers. And I also just started using differin cause I found it at rite-aid (and not Amazon). Anyways that's all I think I need and the reason I'm here is to find out what toner is just so I know what it is when people talk about it. Okay I just learned that toners hydrate and exfoliate but.... doesn't retinol also do that? Why use multiple products that do the same thing and why call them different things? Because the retinol has the required ingredient that classifies it as a retinol?
Hi! can you give us good brand and advice we can use if we have skin problems like dark neck, and other parts of body? Thank you
Sure, stay tuned !
This really helpful. But how can we know types of toner? I mean exfoliating, hydration?
Any toner that has AHA, BHA or PHA is an exfoliating toner.
