    How does the blue tips work on the squeegee and where can u get squeegee make it look very simple n quick

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  3 года назад +1

      They apply pressure to the squeegee rubber ends, which with practice, removes all cleaning solution from the glass after use. Unlike all other squeegees that will leave cleaning solution behind at the edges, which then need wiped (detailed) with a cloth.
      You can get this tool from many places.
      Type in moerman Liquidator squeegee into Google and you can compare a few suppliers 😉

I'm using only Moerman tools now, just bought a Combinator 14 inch. Only one detailing towel a day, there's 2 months worth in the towel bucket. The end clips do wear the tips faster, just cut the blade down, one blade will go into up to 4 channels.

      @@TradMan I've done my days work today using my Gardiner backpack all day (my van pump shit itself yesterday) and thought it was actually a lot easier than dragging hose about all day so I know how you feel.

      Like most things there's pros and cons.
      I do like that the backpack you can go anywhere with and don't have to be parked next to the job.
      Downside is having to manually fill it with barrels but personally I don't mind it too much, got quite quick at it. 😉

    It strikes me you'll be interested in the discussion on tacit and formal knowledge. How people learn in reality is somewhat mysterious. There is what your 'hands' know, then what your brain knows. Too many people are dependent on one to apathy on the other. It seems like if you're to perform well there must be a interplay between the two to optimize any craft.
    There are curious facts about what is going on here though. Tacit knowledge is deceitful because it appears very simple when you know how to do it - and is notoriously difficult to impart to somebody else. There seems to be an invisible scaffolding that you build when you learn - and when you become expert this falls away which is as how you might 'forget' that once you had to think of each key press on a keyboard before touch typing, or each decision as you started driving before they became reflexes.
