So was this game overrated and over hyped? Everyone on PCVR said it's a 10/10.
I bet if Asgard's wrath 2 came to VR you and most people would give it an 8/10 at most, even with better graphics and frame rate.

yes, one of the most fun VR experiences. Totally insane writing and scenarios and really knows how to take advantage of the VR environment. Not just a shooter.
Definitely picking this up when it drops. Meanwhile I'm on my 4th playthrough of RE4.
I just started resident evil 4 I hope it’s better then village in psvr2
@@grahamkelly8662 it's just as good, if not better. It definitely has more action compared to Village. Which was more horror like.
@@grahamkelly8662 game itself is much better than village, but vr feel is not as good as in village. Still probably one of the best if not the best game currently on PSVR2.
Played the PC version. Definitely overhyped. Too me, it's a 3.5 out of 5.
Ugh, it sounds like another wait until they fix it game. With the delays, it should not have framerate issues. I'm excited to finally play this, but I'll be waiting for more updates before getting.

literally my favorite game and I've played tons of games in vr. Vertigo 2 is one of my favorite games oat and that's including all the flat-screen games. it's just a perfect game imo
Awesome. I'm getting it on the disc version that's coming out I think late Feb so fingers crossed they can patch in eye tracked foveated rendering by then to maximise FPS and resolution and maybe fix those last remaining bugs. Perp have said on twitter it will receive more quality of life updates post launch so here's hoping.
Keep dreaming you are aware very few devs can even implement this? and your expecting it from a single dev? when even Capcom couldn’t do it or they would have 🤣🤣🤣 you have no idea the work that goes into that. Why would he even do that? Ask yourself.
Hey! I've just released a mod for Vertigo 2 called "Vertigo 2 - Unleashed" that adds dual wielding, melee attacks, a virtual stock, and a few other cool features! If you are interested, I've uploaded a trailer today :)
I find it strange that there seem to be no dynamic shadows. Also, dynamic framerate in VR is unacceptable. The game should use dynamic foveated rendering and have a crispy clear resolution with dynamic shadows, and forced 120hz reprojected.
So far I've heard the game engine doesn't support this yet.
And so far I know this game is made by one guy only.
Yeah this games only made by one guy. It's not a AAA game. For only one person making it, I think he did an amazing job

I may be in the minority here, but for some reason I'm entirely unexcited to play this title. I tried the demo on the Quest 2 (through Steam Link) and thought it was fine, but nothing amazing based on the section that I played. At one point, I was very frustrated by one of the mini-games and was about to quit the game altogether until I discovered it wasn't a required section and I was able to get through the full demo.
I'm sure the Sense controllers on the PS VR2 will provide more immersion and more enjoyment. I don't like that the Quest 2 controllers have no feedback on the triggers now that I'm used to playing VR games on the PS5.
Such a shame the game couldn't support eye tracking and fov rendering. If it did it could have been the best version of the game.
Between this and Asgard’s Wrath 2, VR is doing well regardless of platform!
Not to mention the Resident Evil 4 remake. This is a really great time for VR!

Really? I been bored with all the games that came out for the past 3 years nothing good came out always wave shooters and if its not that it's magic games but infested with the doctor strange shields (geometric and runes all over)

It is a shame but as an entire experience that isn’t what you remember or take away. It’s a brilliant game. Just a lesser version of the PC

How certain are you that you are playing the latest build. I heard that they addressed several bugs other than the game breaking one. Either way. I suspect, my second playthrough with the different character will be a much better playthrough after they improve the game further. But we probably will not get the best version until after the pro comes out.

It's good to hear this isn't exclusive to the PSVR2 version but concerning that it means it might not be something that gets patched.
Could I ask what spec is your PC please? I'm still weighing up whether to get this on PCVR or PSVR2 and have a pretty decent PC, but if yours is too then might go for the PSVR2 with haptics.
VR has been on fire for a few months now. Bulletstorm is right around the corner as well.

dont believe the lies, this game is not good, has many bugs, and its made in the game maker "UNITY" , dont ever trust a developer that doesnt make his own engine. game is bland, generic, plenty of bugs, DONT BELIEVE THE RUclips CRAP REVIEWERS LIKE THIS ONE
Any1 know if this game has been patched to fix frame drops? I’m really interested in playing but don’t want added motion sickness because poor framerate.
Its not 70, 60, or 50 its 30 bucks. These gripes are almost getting me to wait for a foviated render patch but why? Arizona Sunshine was 50 and was max only worth 30... its a glorified saints n sinners game worth a few laughs but not by any means worth 49 bucks with reprojection. Horizon was 70 and it was fun but too much climbing and not nearly enough combat or puzzles. That being said this is 10 FUCKING hours of crazy mushroom trip fever dream FPS shit I love... for 30. SOLD!
I'm gonna wait for a sale and by then hopefully some patches roll out to fix some of the issues but it definitely looks like alot of fun

I’ll pick this one up on day 1. But, I think I’ll finish RE:4 before I play it. With the inflow of revenue the developer should be able to enhance the experience with a patch to mitigate a lot of the issues here with a little time. They/he just needs the support. A monumental effort by one person.
How do you prefer to record your VR gameplay these days?
Always PC. I use an Elgato 4k internal capture card
With Meta hub? I don't understand the purpose of the capture card. I record VR without one to my PC. I only use capture card for console gaming. What's the advantage? @@GAMERTAGVR

I tried the PC demo, but the game design and unconventional weapons didn't quite match my preferences. I think I will pass for now.
That's too bad, I was on the fence at first but I eventually gave in and bought it. I never had so much fun in a story driven vr game ( I had more fun than half life alyx). I replayed it 3 times XD

How are the textures vs the pcvr version? I noticed that most psvr2 versions of games have downgraded textures or use to much anti aliasing.
VR Trinity: Alyx, Vertigo 2, and Asgards Wrath 2. I had no issues on PC with Vertigo 2. I was playing on my old system with 1080 ti and it ran smooth the whole time.

I’m a huge half life fan and on pc I prefer vertigo 2 over half life Alyx! Obviously it’s not as good as Half Life 2 and the two episodes in vr, but at a minimum it’s as good as HLA. Such an amazing and flawless game on pc.
Psvr2 players are surely used to bad ports by now and regardless of performance drops, you guys should be grateful you finally have an amazing original game on your platform!

@@Farat9622 you kind of answered your own question. Psvr2 platform has three games, with vertigo 2 releasing you now have four games that you can play over and over and over again.
I’ve just played Hubris - and this seems really similar. (The laser gun sound is also exact same…) I think I’d get bored with this after a few hours like hubris, I mean it looks an ok indie shooter, but I’m not sure I understand all the hype it’s getting…
Hubris is hella bland. This is not.
Hubris was super basic compared to vertigo. But based off reviews I’d try the steam version

I don't understand why this game is so over hyped. Its good. Maybe a 6/10. Has basically no story, cartoony graphics , its buggy as hell and poorly optimized (PC). That said the weapons feel good and i had a great time on some of the levels. My favorite by far was the giant tree, with the tree sap enemies.

Did you finish the game? It had a story for sure, it can be a little confusing at first, especially if you didnt play vertigo 1, but it's obviously there. Definitely wont explain it here, but you could probably find some video essay breaking it down for you.

I heard you can’t, but…..no one has tried remapping it on the ps5 controller settings, assuming the VR controllers have recognised buttons as the dual sense

After about 4 hours I must say that the only thing really saving this title is the fact that it is VR. I'm not sure why this is so hyped, the "story" is at best a mishmash of ideas from games like Portal and Half Life, but nowhere near the tight scripts found there, the guns sound and feel like toys (and with PSVR2 controllers, you really need to be physically pointing them upwards in order to shoot straight, killing any sense of joy in accuracy), the AI simply marches towards you guns blazing, the voice acting just sound like devs reading the script for the first time in their normal voice, the graphics are painfully sub-par on a ps5 (one particular boss made me feel right back in the ps2/ps3-era). The fact that this is seemingly made by one man kinda excuses all these points somewhat, but the fact that people are going crazy for this is a sad testament to the state of VR in 2024. I guess Half Life: Alyx was the one truly great single player game we got.

Wave shooter? In my opinion this has nothing to do with a wave shooter. It has a crazy funny story a lot of different areas and enemies.
I had a lot if fun with that game on PC.
Been so hype for this game but since the delays and reviews are coming out i completely lost interest in this game. Alot of the game play footage is kinda boring just shooting monsters. Little trex's running around. The only games on my radar is contractors showdown, and geronimo.

This game is made by a single dev with no previous PSVR2 experience so not sure why so many have high expectations. We've seen what VR2 is capable of and to judge it based off a project made by a kid with no previous VR2 experience is beyond foolish. The minute I saw the trailer I knew what we are in for. This is literally a Quest 2 mid game in terms of production quality and it has issues on other platforms too. This is nowhere close to what the wizards at Vertical Robot achieved or Capcom with RE4 remake VR2. NMS's latest update is a much better representation. Without the right talent you simply cannot deliver quality products surprise surprise

Re4 remake is the better core game but village and especially og re4 on quest have better implementation of vr. Og because it was designed for it from ground up and village being native first person helped.
I still prefer remake VR. I don't get my panties in a bunch just because I can't manually open a drawer or door. The replayability and amazing visuals top everything else I've played.@@heythatscomics3337
