  • For those that missed the LIVE Q&A and catch up last week, I’ve recorded it and released it as a podcast episode.
It went really well, we talked about the latest updates, a couple of things about my personal life and some new announcements on future plans.
I will be doing more of these so we can all get together in the live environment and chat.

I tell people I'm a FORMER victim. (Not of CSA but I like the wording because it says I'm no longer a victim.)
Alternatively, you could say something like, "I WAS a victim of CSA. It haunted me for years but I've found ways that helped tremendously in getting past it."
Just my thoughts. Though I know you'll find the right words, I extend my best wishes as you prepare for your upcoming event, Jeremy.

That is a healthy way of thinking. How we think about experiences shapes our emotions about those experiences.
I know the following goes against the grain (which I'm not afraid to do), but I don't like the excessive use of the word 'survivor', which in many cases is hyperbolic and dysphemistic. Firstly, because I have a close friend who spent a couple of months in a coma after being beaten to within an inch of his life, and he's relegated to the status of 'victim' (victim of a serious assault). And secondly, because some victims of CSA did have to endure life-threateningly adverse experiences, but their plight is minimised by victims of less serious offences embracing the term survivor.

Yes, there must be something odd going on with RUclips. 28K subscribers and very limited number of views just doesn't stack up. Also very few comments here. It's lamentable that rational discussion of this topic can result in shadow-banning, as though what matters most to the platform isn't children's safety but maintaining a narrow, prescribed discourse on the topic.
If I had been on the live Q&A, I would have asked what you would do to reduce rates of CSA if you were in charge of Government policy in that regard and had the right level of budget.
