- Schweinfurt is a city in the Lower Franconia region of Bavaria in Germany on the right bank of the navigable Main River, 27 km northeast of Würzburg.
Schweinfurt's main landmarks include: the Renaissance Town Hall (1570-1572), the church of St. Johannes (1554-1562) and the Old Grammar School, seat of the local museum
The Museum Georg Schäfer specializes in 19th-century paintings by artists from German-speaking countries.
The Schweinfurter Rathaus (town hall) square has a large Friedrich Rückert monument in the centre, around which weekly markets and many city festivals are held.
The Motherwell Park connects the surrounding medieval buildings to the inner-city market square. To avoid car-filled streets, walking through the park with part of the original city walls offers paths and shortcuts, bringing one on foot from one end of town to another, reminiscent of medieval town life.

My Hometown, the older I become, the more I miss it . It's to the point now , it aches my heart.
We were in Schweinfurt in 1970m,Stayed in a hotel across from the train station then lived in Conn Barracks. Our daughter was born at the Army hospital in Wursburg. We did our shopping at Ledward Barracks. Really enjoyed our stay . Sad we could never go back!
I was stationed there back in the late 80s. Lived on Conn Barracks which I believe was on the outskirts of town. Beautiful city, would love to go back to visit one day.
I was a kid there in the late 80s. It was a lot of fun. My dad was a civilian with the Department of Defense. I remember the fairs next to Ledward. I was great on the bumper cars!
I lived at Conn Barracks too but from 99-2001. watching these videos I miss it so much and good memories

@@maaswater15 Wait for what? I am from Schweinfurt!!
Nice vid, thanks for sharing. Is Schweinfurt a safe city? Are the ppl friendly? Is it expensive? Thanks!
Jonathan, Schweinfurt is a very safe city, People are friendly, maybe not at first, but when you get to know them, they warm tend to warm up . Prices are normal for a town of 60.000 people, so not as expensive as the big cities such as Munich or Düsseldorf . Schweinfurt has always been a blue collar town, with the automotive supply industry providing the most jobs. Hope I could help you out a little.
Big Mitt thank you very much for your kind reply. I really appreciate it!
Thank you for watching. Your question about the city is already answered. I visited this city for two days and liked the atmosphere. Kind greetings, from the Netherlands, Maria:)

Living here was the worst , most boring 3 years of my life. It was proppa traumatic. Nothing else to do but hit up syrians for shitty hash or overpriced weed and play fifa at home. Glad i left. Anyone who lives there. May god be with you.
